These folks are really on it with providing options and finding solutions to your needs. I have the gutter system on the house and recently added a solar system. They've learned my patterns with the gutters and even proactively contacted me this season to come check on them before I could call in to have them serviced.

Solar was a breeze, lots of options and a real personal experience. Very accommodating to my schedule and even helped me find a crew to remove a tree when I hit a roadblock!

We just had our ""Byers' Leaf-guard"" gutters installed on our log home in October 2016. Day's latter California finally got RAIN, the new gutters work and are great. So I had the gutters installed 4 years ago. They clog every year, so I call to have them come ""warranty"" clean them. It takes over a month every time. So this year they did a preemptive offer to come out and clean them. No one ever turned up in the past 6 weeks and now with all the rain they are overflowing again and blocked. So I called to remind them and they said they would call me right back once they talked to their scheduler.

Quality product and quality service! I am very happy with my new gutters. They look great and the installers were personable and did more then they had to (painted trim on my house, cleaned up after themselfs, worked really hard even though it was crazy hot). They where the most expensive bid we got BUT they are an excellent family owned operated business with a super high quality product.

From the time the representative came out to give us the estimate through the completion of the gutters being installed I was very impressed by the professionalism of the employees of Byers and care they took to maintain my property. My new gutter system is beautiful and the area around the house was left in pristine condition. I would recommend Byers LeafGuard Gutter Systems to anyone interested in having new gutters installed. Not having to climb up a ladder to clean the gutters from now on is the icing on the cake.

We bought a home that came with the leaf guard type gutters, installed about 10 years ago. One section was sagging so we called them for a quote to repair this section. They sent the estimator out (right on time) and when he noted the type of gutter we had he called the office. He came back and said that these gutters and the installation were guaranteed for life ! Repairs were no charge! I didn't know. He could have quoted me a price for repairs and I would have paid. REAL HONEST!

They may have good, even better gutters, but they are incredibly expensive. Their bid was more than four times as much as the other bid I received - $4500 as opposed to $1050. And they never emailed the breakdown to me as promised.

My wife and I live in the Santa Cruz mountains, surrounded by big trees. These trees, many of them big Redwood trees, drop a great deal of leaves and needles on our roof which got washed into our old gutters, plugging them up. To make matters worse, the old gutters weren't sloped correctly, so water would collect in them, the weight of which pulled many of the gutter support nails out of the house, and water would spill over the sides of the gutters, splashing the house, creating a variety of problems from algae growth on the the siding to water coming in over the foundation sills.

I'd tried to combat the tree detritus buildup by making screens that I placed in the old gutters over the down spouts. This helped a bit, but I still had to go up on the roof when it was dry, and blow the gutters out with a leaf blower, or scoop up the blockages with my hands when it was raining! Not fun!!!

We did some research, and after watching an episode of ""This Old House"" where Leaf Guard gutters were demonstrated and installed on the project house, we decided to get a quote for our house. The guy came out, measured the house, and gave us a quote which was within our budget, so we gave him the green light to get us scheduled. A couple of weeks later, the guys came with the big gutter truck which just barely fit on our street, so they fabricated our gutters and left them for installation later in the week.

Once installed, the gutters look great, the color matching our house as hoped for. It would be a couple of months before we got rain, but when we did, it was RAIN!!! Not once did we have any evidence of water spillage, and I see no evidence of any significant amounts of tree detritus found inside the gutters.

The leafguard gutter design really seems to work!!!

The first thing that was very off-putting to me about Byers is that when I called to get a quote the lady on the phone insisted that my wife come to the meeting with the estimator. I told her that was an odd request and probably wouldn't be possible and she tried to make me feel guilty by telling me about how the estimator was going to make a super special trip out to see me and there was NO WAY he could talk to me without my wife there. I should probably have just thanked her for her time and ended the call right there.

Weeks later when the estimator finally came out he started by handing us a cherry-picked list of references and insisted that I call them right there on the spot. He then got out his laptop and showed us a bizarre slideshow of pictures of his family and the family of the owners of Byers. I felt like he was putting on some kind of sales pitch worthy of a vacation timeshare or a used car when all I wanted was for him to measure my house and give me a number for the cost of the job.

Speaking of cost, we ended up getting 3 quotes for seamless gutters with gutter guards from 3 different companies. We have a very small 2-bedroom house (1 story), and the quotes we got back were $1,200, $1,800, and $7,000. The quote for $7,000 was from Byers. The estimators from the other two gutter companies managed to give me their quotes and describe their products to me without showing me pictures of their families or demanding to meet my wife.

Byers does offer some cool stuff like lifetime cleaning/repair, but for the price they charge we could have our non-Byers seamless gutters w/guards COMPLETELY REPLACED at least 4 times and still spend less money than going with Byers.
