I had an issue with a bad optimizer from a terrible company called solar edge. Luckily it was under warranty but it still took forever getting a new one sent out to me. BVI is one of the contracted companies that solar edge use in case the company that installed it goes out of business.(which mine did) thankfully, I talked to one of the best employees I have ever had the honor of talking to named jasmine. She is very professional, knowledgeable and responded quickly. I finally got the part sent to me and a very nice tech came out to install the new optimizer. Sadly, the tech had to call solar edge to make sure my system was up and running. Solar edge did everything they could to screw things up and waste valuable time. I was so stressed about how long it took for such a simple fix. The tech also felt terrible and said it was typical of this terrible company. BVI understood my situation and gave me a very fair break on my bill. They absolutely understood it wasn't my fault and treated me with respect and appreciation for doing business with them. I will continue to call BVI in the future and I highly recommend you do the same. I NEVER do these reviews and I am VERY picky about customer service, so trust me when I say BVI is as good as it gets in today's awful, lazy world of customer service!!!

BVI Solar was excellent in every way and we highly recommend them! Tyler is knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with on our new La Jolla home. He was extremely patient and thorough as we explored all of the possible options and created several mockups and ran numbers for us numerous times until we arrived at a plan. Tyler also worked very well with our architect and contractor. The installation looks fantastic, the crew was efficient, timely and neat and Tyler oversaw the site work to ensure it was executed as we discussed. I was very particular about how the panels would look and work with our new tile roof and it's cleaner and better than I had even hoped!

After waiting and being told by a different company, our solar was postponed due to permits, I contacted Tyler at BVI Solar and he literally came to my house the next day and went over the plans he thought would be best for us. Within 2 week, he had the permits and the install began. I can't thank Tyler enough. The team was very professional and did a wonderful job!

Extremely happy with BVI. Expectations were met on time and under budget! We're so happy to have gotten our new roof and solar panels at the same time. There was constant communication, and Tyler the owner made sure every promise was met. He came on site several times, and even took us up on the roof to show us a few things. The crews all delivered. These guys work hard and are all pleasant to deal with. We're so happy with the result and would recommend BVI to anyone considering a solar roof.

Our salesman Chase was great, personable and honest he saw us through the entire process from step to step. We also appreciated that he was easy to contact when we had questions. The entire process to get up and running was about 8 weeks. The workers were good and respectful. We had an issue which needed management and Ruben was quick and thorough to follow through with us. I would recommend them.

I recently started looking into getting a battery backup system to add to my existing solar panel system and contacted BVI for more information and an estimate. I was lucky enough to get in contact with Ted who was very helpful, patient, responsive, and informative. I had a lot of questions and Ted was able to answer all of them and shed light on the various nuances that go into a project like this. BVI scored a great employee with Ted and its been a pleasure working with him as I start this process.

I didn't end up going with BVI because their proposal cost 30% more than the company I chose, so I did them the courtesy of letting them know we were going with another company. This was their response:
