I was so hesitant on going solar but when my bill hit $600 one month I was fed up and now I am so happy to see a negative bill wish I did it sooner!

We want to thank David and Max for installing our 30-panel solar system with a partial battery backup for our home from May 15-17, 2023. Their professionalism was outstanding! They always kept us informed and worked with us to ensure the installation was correct and that we were happy with their work. Considering this was our first home purchase while we were both still on active duty in the Marine Corps and the Navy and had never hired a solar contractor, David and Max made the whole process painless. We had out solar system installed by BVI and were pleased with the install. They worked with the HOA to ensure it met their requirements. The installation came with an app that I could use to track the power generated by the individual panels (see attached). The app consistently shows some panels are not performing as well as others. BVI came out and changed an optimizer on some of the panels, but the issue continued. They suggested shade from a tree or dirt on the panels could account for the issue. We had the panels cleaned and their are not trees shading the panels. The problem persists and BVI cannot address the issue. I've also asked them for a quote on how much it would cost to add additional panels, as I don't think the system was sized correctly to begin with. I've sent a couple of emails asking for this information, and neither one was answered. We may not need the additional panels if they were all generating maximum power. They did a decent job, but I would shop around more if I did this again.

We had our solar system installed by BVI last week and are very pleased. They arrived on time, did the job in the expected time frame, 2 days in my case, and were very professional to work with. I usually judge a company or contractor by how responsive they are once they have all the money for the project, and BVI was extremely responsive. I had a minor issue, they called me back immediately and came out the next day to fix my issue and make sure I was 100% satisfied. It's hard to find a company these days that shows real pride in their quality of work. BVI is that company.

I had an issue with a bad optimizer from a terrible company called solar edge. Luckily it was under warranty but it still took forever getting a new one sent out to me. BVI is one of the contracted companies that solar edge use in case the company that installed it goes out of business.(which mine did) thankfully, I talked to one of the best employees I have ever had the honor of talking to named jasmine. She is very professional, knowledgeable and responded quickly. I finally got the part sent to me and a very nice tech came out to install the new optimizer. Sadly, the tech had to call solar edge to make sure my system was up and running. Solar edge did everything they could to screw things up and waste valuable time. I was so stressed about how long it took for such a simple fix. The tech also felt terrible and said it was typical of this terrible company. BVI understood my situation and gave me a very fair break on my bill. They absolutely understood it wasn't my fault and treated me with respect and appreciation for doing business with them. I will continue to call BVI in the future and I highly recommend you do the same. I NEVER do these reviews and I am VERY picky about customer service, so trust me when I say BVI is as good as it gets in today's awful, lazy world of customer service!!!

BVI Solar was excellent in every way and we highly recommend them! Tyler is knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with on our new La Jolla home. He was extremely patient and thorough as we explored all of the possible options and created several mockups and ran numbers for us numerous times until we arrived at a plan. Tyler also worked very well with our architect and contractor. The installation looks fantastic, the crew was efficient, timely and neat and Tyler oversaw the site work to ensure it was executed as we discussed. I was very particular about how the panels would look and work with our new tile roof and it's cleaner and better than I had even hoped!

After waiting and being told by a different company, our solar was postponed due to permits, I contacted Tyler at BVI Solar and he literally came to my house the next day and went over the plans he thought would be best for us. Within 2 week, he had the permits and the install began. I can't thank Tyler enough. The team was very professional and did a wonderful job!

Extremely happy with BVI. Expectations were met on time and under budget! We're so happy to have gotten our new roof and solar panels at the same time. There was constant communication, and Tyler the owner made sure every promise was met. He came on site several times, and even took us up on the roof to show us a few things. The crews all delivered. These guys work hard and are all pleasant to deal with. We're so happy with the result and would recommend BVI to anyone considering a solar roof.
