We contacted bumble to give us an estimate on a roof replacement. We let them know we did not need the garage roof done since it was less than a year old as we had just converted it to an ADU. With the discounts offered, their price was competitive so we signed their proposal. Strangely, a few days later they said they wanted to ""take another look"" at our roof and go in the attic. We don't have an attic (vaulted ceilings). They also wanted to take more measurements because the original proposal included the garage. Either way, someone came out again and we were sent a new proposal. The new proposal was $1100 more than the original! The only difference between the original and new proposal was an increase in demo/haulaway and a decrease in the square footage. I contacted bumble for clarification and was told ""The main reason for the price increase is due to the discovery of another layer of roofing, bringing the total to 2 layers of roofing. The secondary reason is due to the new discovery in roof pitch, as we have learned that a second layer of underlayment will be needed due to the roof pitch. The project will involve both removing and installing more materials than originally quoted, even with the decrease in square footage.""
So how was all of this missed in the original estimate/proposal? How convenient a second layer was ""discovered"" after a proposal was signed. It felt like a bait and switch. Ultimately, we went with a different company.

I was very frustrated with several companies not showing up to provide an estimate, or even returning calls. Found Bumble roofing, and things changed tremendously. Quick call back! Quick Estimates with multiple levels of service options. All questions answered. Pricing was very competitive.

Once the job started, crew was prompt, respectful and super quick. Change requests were straight forward and now surprises. They took care of everything.

They gave us written proposal and an estimate of the cost of a new roof. Not only did they take care of all permits, they also executed the roof in a timely fashion. Bumble Roofing was an excellent choice to replace our roof. We did an entire tear off/replacement, and Bumble as communicative and on top of things the entire time. They are a little more expensive than your run-of-the-mill roofers (I got three quotes and they were only slightly more expensive but not by much). And at the end of the day you get what you pay for. They were aware of my city's requirements for ""cool roof"" shingles and helped work through the permitting process (which was more involved then I expected due to solar panels needing to be removed/reinstalled). Overall, I would definitely recommend Bumble to family and friends for roof replacement. My only suggestions for improvement would be for the construction team to keep the job site a little cleaner during the project. However, on the final day they did a full sweep of the yard, picking up all trash as well as running a magnet over the lawn to get almost all of the nails/misc metal that had fallen off the roof during the job. In the end, I am very satisfied with the result.

I had a great experience with Bumble. The process is updated and modern and feels like great care was taken to make sure the customer is comfortable with an experience that can feel overwhelming at times.

My quote was the most competitive out of all the quotes I received, and I got about 7 quotes from local companies. They were also the company I was most interested in working with because of the professionalism of the owner, sales team and project manager.

The project itself went well. There were a few small hiccups that were corrected as we went. Every large project is bound to have a few issues, and the communication from everyone at Bumble was prompt and professional.

Overall, I am very please with the result, value and process. I would recommend Bumble for your roofing project.

After numerous quotes from different contractors, the guys at Bumble were the most affordable and got the job done in a timely manner. They changed the roofs of our two commercial buildings, one after the other. We used Bumble to replace our roof after being referred to them by a neighbor who had used them for roof replacement on 2 homes. We had a terrific experience from beginning to end and are so glad we chose them to do the work. From the very beginning with our first onsite meeting and our virtual call with David to go over all of our options and pricing, the entire team was communicative and informative about our options, price and progress. While we were considering options, David happily answered all of our questions even responding to our emails after hours and while on vacation. Once the project started, our project manager was communicative with updates and there was always someone on site to speak to about questions. We replaced 5 skylights at the same time the roof was being replaced. Bumble referred us to a skylight company and they worked together seamlessly to make sure the skylight and roofing were both installed correctly. The roof looks amazing, we've had no issues with it and certainly upped the curb appeal of our home. Neighbors have since reached out to ask to ask for contact information for our roof. We've happily provided Bumble's contact information and couldn't recommend them more highly. We were beyond satisfied with the work and the price. From top, down, David Bitan, Emily, Jose, Gabriel, and others, were extremely professional throughout the process of replacing my roof. It took a long time for us to get a city permit. Bumble stayed with us throughout the whole process. Every document that they needed signed was done electronically via email, which was very convenient. They kept us informed by email and phone calls. They had a supervisor call me to let me know their work progress and asked if I had any questions or concerns. When I did, they took care of it in a timely manner. The roof replacement turned out beautifully and finished on time.

I would advise those getting roof estimates to be mindful of the amount of the allowance proposed in the bid for a city permit is consistent to what your city charges to make sure the permit price is covered if you are having the roofer pull the permit for you. Further, have the bidders provide you with a separate rough estimate in case their is wood damage underneath the roof material such as shiplab to avoid any major surprises. This will help you compare one bid to another.
