Jeff P.Buhler Roofing Company... Theft of Services charges filed against the company on 4-27-18. I live in Victoria, TX in an apartment complex. I come home for lunch and my patio gate has been opened and there is a compressor running and it is plugged into my patio electrical outlet, causing my electrical meter to run none stop. The day before I did not come home for lunch but noticed my patio gate had been opened. There is no one from Buhler Roofing anywhere around the complex. I assume they are all at lunch, while my electricity bill rises. I call the apartment complex office and ask if they gave the roofing company permission to use my electricity. The answer was no. I take the compressor and call the roofing company, who's number I got from the complex office. The answering machine says leave a message. I say ""I have confiscated your compressor and will return it when I am compensated $50.00 for my electricity bill. I then call the Victoria County Sheriff's office and ask if what I have done was the right thing to do. I am told that I need to return the compressor, however I can file Theft of Services against Buhler roofing company. That is exactly what I did. I took the compressor to the office of the apartment complex and left it there. I then called the roofing company again to let them know where their compressor is now located. The owner ""Bobby Buhler"" picked up the phone. I tell him where his compressor is and that he owes me $50.00 for my electric bill. Surprising he agreed, until I said that I was going to call the Sheriff's Department and have the charges dropped. He basically said to F*^# Y%@, although it came out as ""you know what buddy, you do what you have to do"". This owner of this company picked up the compressor came right back here to my apartment and plugged his compressor back into my patio electrical outlet. I called the Sheriff's office and explained what this owner of this company had done so aggressively. They said an officer is on the way. Well before the officer arrived, the apartment owners showed up. The apartment owner and Bobby Buhler are friends. He did call them. The apartment owner says they will take care of my electricity bill. I call and have the officer not come to my apartment after all. Taking the apartment owners word that my bill will be paid. I call the Sheriff's office one last time to make sure that the Theft Of Services charges will remain intact until I have received full compensation. I was assured that charges will remain active. Trust Bobby Buhler if you dare.
Curt C.I've had Buhler Roofing out to work on my eternally-frustrating roof many times. He knows his way around a roll roof, knows his shingles, and can easily diagnose a roofing problem. He's always been honest with his dealings, charging a fair price, with swift response time.
When the roof leaks, it's not much fun. Mr. Buhler has always been the best one to call. He gives frank, objective advice, with an eye on saving money and doing the job right.
It can be challenging to get a good roofer- this guy is local and knows what he's talking about. The fact that the roof has leaked many times over the road is not a bad sign of Buhler Roofing's skills- the roof is old, and is notorious for causing problems. Mr. Buhler has kept it shipshape for years, without having to replace it. The occasional leaks have largely been due to the adverse weather that Victoria has seen lately. Buhler Roofing has always been there to make sure that the leaks are sealed up quickly and properly.
