BEWARE! Although Daniel's Facebook site shows nice pictures and very favorable reviews, it DOES NOT show complaints like those that have earned him a D minus Better Business Bureau rating. My rating will probably lower it further, given that he did not honor the job contract. Briefly, although he did do a fairly good job of cleaning up debris, he has continually failed to retrieve the 7 unopened bundles that he never used (about 500 pounds of shingles). The following does NOT criticize the Brunsons Socially. They were as friendly and polite as their Facebook pages indicate. It only criticizes Daniel's Professionalism as a Licensed roofer.
Upon finishing the job, Daniel said that he would pick the bundles up within a week. He said this again two more times over the next month. During the following 6 weeks, my near-weekly calls just went to his voice mail, and he did not reply to two follow up letters. I even offered to omit a negative review and (1) to pay $50 to any person he would send OR (2) a $100 check to his church or favorite charity. All he had to do is what Licensed Roofers do----remove his materials/equipment from a customer's property. I told Daniel that NOT getting the bundles would result in formal complaints to his Licensing Board, as well as the Better Business Bureau. The BBB review includes one very scathing detailed complaint that makes mine sound almost trivial. Still, he never responded.
Yes, the roofing currently ""looks"" nice. But, if there is a workmanship problem during the 3 year guarantee period, will Daniel honor the contract without a law suit? The 7 bundles of quality GAF architectural shingles weigh about 500 lbs. and cover around 225 sq ft. If anybody wants them, ask Daniel for his written permission. If he agrees, he can give you my phone number and address.
