Deltona Florida Two years ago we contact Sikes roofing came out and repaired roof vents and flashing... Their employees were professional and did a quality job. On November 10th we were hit by Hurricane Nicole. It damaged 3 shingles of my 12 year old roof. We called Brian to come out and examine our roof. He came out and replaced the 3 damage shingles and said our roof will be good for a few more years. Then refused to accept any payment for his time and efforts That is the definition of service.

We had 3 estimates, and Brian Sikes' estimate contained the most product and labor detail. He met with us twice in person and responded quickly to texts and phone calls. He is a low pressure, knowledgeable, and professional. The work was completed as described, and the onsite team was on time and efficient. His office staff was just as cordial and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better all-around experience, service or product.

I looked long and hard for a roofing company and I got quotes from seven different businesses before deciding to use Brian Sikes Roofing. I used the following criteria to make my decision.
1. Quality of the shingles and manufacturer reputation
2. Upgraded underlayment to a synthetic material and not tar paper
3. Cost ( Did the contractor provide for replacing sheeting and at what cost as this is usually extra work that is found only after removing the old shingles)
4. Warranty for labor and materials (Brian Sikes Roofing provided the best warranty)
5. How responsive the company is to my phone calls ( One company failed to answer the phone on three separate calls during business hours)
6. Company knowledge of their industry ( After learning about the materials and workmanship I would ask them what they would put on their roof and why)
7. Wait time to get the work done ( The contract gave a 1 month span to get the work completed)

Brian Sikes was professional and prompt. He arrived on time for the meeting and provided a quote a day later. I had wanted a specific type of underlayment, but Brian informed about the problems associated with it and recommended I go with the synthetic underlayment that would breathe. He made recommendations that met my requirements and had the attitude that we wanted to provide a good product/service. One other company provided a lower price, but their representative kept going on about how they would keep costs to a minimum. This scared me because I want a good roof and I understand that it will cost more than the cheapest price I can find.

Brian's crew started a day late because of rain, but I had received a call from them letting me know there was going to be a delay. This is what I call service, I understand that weather can be a problem and I am willing to allow delays as long as I am informed.

The crew showed up and began working and here is a list of words I would use to describe them.
Professional (they got right to work and cleared my wife's baubles from the flower garden)
Courteous ( They would always check with us if they had to move things or if they found a potential problem)
Attentive ( they put plywood in front of the windows to protect them from falling debris. They would also clean the garage door if they got any dirt on it while they worked)
Hard working (They worked 12 hours the first day and 8 hours the second and only took 1 lunch break on each day)

The day after the job was completed I discovered a gas leak and I contacted Brian. He had a cooperative attitude and we were able to come to workable solution to resolve the problem.

I will not say that they are the cheapest as I do not want a poor quality roof, but I will say that they did give me the best value for the dollar. I would have no problems recommending them to anyone as I feel they do good work and they can be trusted. I give them a solid five stars with no reservations.

Be careful. This company has twice bumped their final bill on two roofs we had them do for us. They quote a price on estimate and then when the job is done the invoice is thousands more claiming they had to install more plywood, materials, labor, etc.
On the first roof we had done, the called and sent pics of the damaged wood, we approved the extra cost. On the second roof we had done, no pics, no calls, nothing. They just said that they had to install more plywood and materials for $1200 more on a $7000 job.
We refused to pay for the difference because we never approved the difference. Now they are threatening us to put a lien on the property.
Smoke in mirrors !!!! The old bait and switch.
Filing a complaint with the BBB is next!

Brian came out and completed the estimate himself. He was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. He came with lots of verifiable references in hand. Zero pressure salesmanship. He was one of three estimates I solicited. He was not the most expensive or the least expensive, but he was the most genuine and truly made me feel like he would take good care of us. We set up a date for them to come out and his crew showed up on time ready to work. Man, did they work. I have never seen a more professional group of people that truly worked together as a team to get the job done right and fast. Brian was on site both days and assisted on several things including the installation of our two sun tubes. When it was all over he walked the whole house with us and pointing out things we should know about and even took care of some issues that were not a part of the paid roofing job...free of charge. What a fantastic experience. I recommend Brian and his team to anyone wanting the best roof in town!
