Does anyone know what going on with Bow Tie Roofing? I have signed 3 different contracts with them they took 7500 from me and nothing has been done over a year. Has anyone had any luck hiring an attorney? Not sure if we will ever see our money again....letter says 55 people are in the same situation. Advice appreciated.

The reviewers are right, Do not give any money until supplies are delivered and work is completed!! On 9-2-16 I wrote a $6,336.00 check for a metal roof for my house and garage to Bow Tie Roofing Jourdanton, Texas. He owner of the Jourdanton office when I wrote check was Joshua Norris. I was told the deposit was for roofing materials and upon receipt of the deposit materials would be ordered. I spoke with Josh several times regarding when my materials would be delivered and when construction would be started. I heard every excuse including my wife is having twins. I inquired if this would prohibit my roof from being completed and how I would be able to reach Josh Norris. He assured me he would be checking his emails and answering his phone. On October 19, 2016 I received an email from Josh Norris stating supplies has been ordered. I continued to email and call. I was not able to reach Josh any longer. In February, I was told the Jourdanton office had been closed and their files had been moved to New Braunfels office. I was instructed that I should contact the New Braunfels office. I called and spoke with Jason Roberts. He explained how he allowed franchises to be purchased so that his roofing company could grow and he could sell roofing materials to the franchises and make a little profit. Jason Roberts said unfortunately due to poor management the franchises did not take care of their businesses so he closed their doors and took the files. Jason Roberts said Bow Tie in New Braunfels would be putting my roof on. I signed a new contract with Bow Tie Roofing in New Braunfels on 4-28-17. I was told Dustin Culp would be the project manager for the unfinished Jourdanton accounts. I spoke with Dustin Culp a couple of times inquiring about where we were on my roof. When he quit answering my calls, I was told Mike Sanders had been brought in to personally handle getting the Jourdanton roofs completed. I emailed and called weekly. I have emails to Mike Sanders and Carla May Luna. I was told they were getting roofs completed and mine was one of the next in line. In September, Jason and June Roberts wrote a letter to friends, colleagues and family stating their business had been sold in April 2017. I quote from Jason Roberts letter ""the new owners have not managed their new business very well."" Jason Roberts sold his business to Jasmine Norris, Joshua Norris's wife. Josh is the owner that took a deposit from me but never delivered any roofing materials. Jasmine repeated the same process as her husband, she took more money from customers in need of new roofs and then closed the doors. Jason Roberts continued to write ""there were 55 customers that had money taken from them."" Jason wrote "" We sold the company with ample amounts of cash and receivables to complete existing jobs."" Jason Roberts stated he was not involved in any criminal activity taking place with the new owners, however he knew Joshua Norris took many people's money when he owned the franchise. I am pretty certain this was a big scam. There are many bad reports on Josh Norris.

The worst of the worst. Do not do business with this company if it is still around. I have yet to see them repair my roof. Waiting since 10/24/16. Paid $4800. They don't answer their phones, if they do, they tell you to call later. Now they don't even answer. They are probably out of business. Filed a complaint with BBB and Texas Attorney General. If you have been scammed, file a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General Office. They cannot do anything unless they get multiple complaints before they get involved. Good luck!

THIS IS A SCAM! Do not talk with these people. We signed over an insurance check for over $10,000 to them in October of 2016 and still have no roof. We were contacted by another victim who found the business abandoned and found our file in the trash, with many others. Currently, there are more than 30 people who have been taken and the list is growing. The BBB is investigating and estimates this scam now involves more than a million dollars. Another business started by these owners is called Large Loss Consulting. I am afraid they are going to take advantage of people who are in dire need of repairs due to Hurricane Harvey.

Scam artists. Signed a contract and signed over our insurance check almost a year ago. Nothing but excuses since and now they don't return phone calls and the office is closed. Do not do business with these criminals!

Our contract was made last May 2016 with the original owners of Bow Tie Roofing. Then we waited and waited and waited, meanwhile they had 2/3rds of the insurance money up front. We had verified them before even going with them so we thought all was well. With the Austin area growing by leaps and bounds we were not too surprised at the delay in getting our roof. We got our roof done in June 2017 - 1 year later. BUT when you see the job it's done in splotchey patches of color. I'm guessing they bought subpar materials? We have refused to pay for the remainder of the job until they fix it correctly. It looks awful front and back. And now they are trying to say it's our fault and that we have to contact Dow Corning to correct the wrong batch of color tiles they used? They claim they will take us to court. Be my guest! We won't be alone there when we are before judge from what I'm seeing so far! I don't think so. This new ownership is a scam all the way around. And we will be contacting the State Board of Insurance about this company too! Avoid them at all costs...the new owners are scammers BIG TIME with us!

**please read** I was also scammed by this bogus company. It has been a year since I paid them and NOTHING has been done on my roof. They are evasive and do not return phone calls and move offices frequently and are constantly ""changing management"". I have filed a formal report with the BBB and Texas department of insurance for insurance fraud. I am now seeking legal counsel for damages and fraud. They will lie and steal from you! If you have had a similar situation and want to sue them, email me at [email protected] and we will go after them together. Power in numbers.

I may do another review but as of right now I am considering getting a lawyer because they took our insurance check and still have not worked on our roof. They are supposed to drop off materials tomorrow and start Wednesday and if this does not happen I will be getting a lawyer. I would be welcome to any recommendations of lawyers. Like i said we will see what type of work is done and I may give them a better review. If anybody else is in this situation with this company perhaps we can go to a lawyer together, power in numbers.

**Please Read** as I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company!! They are liars and theifs!!

I originally signed a contract with Bow Tie Roofing in August of 2016 with the Jourdanton location owned by Josh and Jasmin and put 50% down just like the other gentleman here. They said it would take 4-6 weeks to get my roof started. I too got the run around and could never talk to the owners Only the office manager, which she did what she could. They ended up closing that office down and my money was GONE! My contact was moved to New Braunfels without anyone telling me. I had to call once again to find out when they were coming and that's how I found all this out. After calling the New Braunfels office 2 or 3 times I finally received a call from the original owner of Bow Tie Roofing, Jason. I thought there was hope but nope! I ended up sending a certified letter requesting my deposit back and received a phone call from Jason and Mike with them begging me to give them a chance to make it right and not leave with Bow Tie being a bad experience, so I did. Again nothing! So I called again to talk to the owner to then find out that they were under NEW OWNERSHIP.... The new owners were the owners that had the Jourdanton Office, Josh and Jasmin!! Mike had called me and I told him I didn't want to do business with this people and just wanted my money back and to move on. I was threatened with I would be charged with a 35% cancelation fee or the full amount of the contract. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and the result was they said they would contact me to get my roof done. As of TODAY... NO PHONE Call! I am now seeking other avenues to handle this situation. They are liars and theifs!! This was insurance money I paid them and they have stolen from me!! They will lie and steel from you too!! PLEASE PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR HOME AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
