3/27/18 We Do Not recommend Bossler Roofing, Lake Worth, FL as they do not honor their 5 yr. warranty. In March 2017 they re-roofed our flat roof and added a slant. Water is pooling and materials that they used are not rated for standing water.
In May 2017 we reported a new leak and their repair crew came out and tried to make repairs. The repair foreman said the original Bossler crew did not flash properly. Since then, more leaks have surfaced that ruined our ceilings. (one ruined area is 3ft x 4ft).
It has been one year and we finally heard from Mr. Bossler in March 2018 after numerous attempts to reach him (certified mail, in-person, and by telephone). He stated that his company is not responsible for the leaks.
We believe Mr. Bossler is unethical and a poor communicator.
Note: Within hours of posting this review on local sites, dozens of neighbors related similar nightmares with Bossler.

Bossler Roofing declined to honor their warranty, citing an ""extreme lack of roof maintenance.""
On 10/03/13 I signed a contract with Bossler Roofing Inc (hereinafter referred to as BR) to re-roof my residence. For this and additional work I paid $17,089. The contract came with a 10 year warranty against leaks.
Within a year a leak did develop, but not in the area where my problem with BR became an issue.
BR to their credit did made the repair.
On 11/15/17 my wife asked me to check the stain on the pantry ceiling and I found corner in both the pantry and garage ceiling wet indicating water intrusion.
I then telephoned BR where I spoke to a female who after I told her what my issue was informed me that there might be clause in the contract that would void the warranty.
Looking at the contract ""Terms and Conditions specifically clause #6 ""BR cannot be responsible for standing water to the structure of the roof.""
Subsequent to that I made four (4) telephone calls to BR leaving messages which were not returned.
This seems to be an ongoing theme with this company about not returning calls in a timely manner. All one has to do to confirm this is to read their bad reviews on the Better Business Bureau, Yelp and Next Door
Because I didn't get a return call I went to BR on 11/27/17 where I met with Lillian the owners wife who told me that my roof was to be put on the schedule to be inspected.
On 11/29/17 BR employee ""Charlie"" met with me at my residence where he conducted an inspection of my roof and took photographs which he shared with the owner Christopher Bossler via telephone prior to discussing it with me.
The pictures shown to me showed that my roof in the area of the arched ""GABLE"" which had the crickets (gutters) running down each side was clogged with debris with even plant growth.
NOTE:From ground level the Crickets are not visible from any angle or even a ladder.
In addition, when asked, Charlie told me that to repair the job might take 2 hours, but that he had no instructions to do the repair and that I needed to discuss this with the Mr. Bossler who Charlie said was would be at my home shortly. Bossler never showed.
On 11/30/17 and 12/04/17 I called BR asking for Mr. Bossler to call me which he didn't. Again, more examples of not returning phone calls
On 12/05/17 from Mr. Bossler I received an email essentially stating because of the ""extreme lack of roof maintenance is not covered under a roof warranty, that valleys and crickets must be maintained like gutters.""
NOTE: No debris was found in my gutters attached to my home because those I can see and I clean twice a year. The roof you can't see from ground level or a ladder from any angle so I was unaware of the debris.
My Commercial Litigation Attorney pointed out that no where in warranty does it say that the homeowner is responsible for roof maintenance.
Attached to to the sent email was an engineering study commissioned by BR in 2012 at my neighbors home I believe indicating BR had prior knowledge of roofs similar to mine with debris issues and why was I not informed of this by BR?
It should be noted that I did not allow my HOA on my roof in 2016 to pressure wash my roof because I didn't want my roof integrity compromised by cracked tiles.
Further after becoming aware of the roof debris I did on 12/05/17 have my roof pressure cleaned which I could have done prior to BR conducting a roof inspection if I had in fact been trying to hide the debris from BR, but this goes to show that I had no idea that the debris had accumulated
I would have shared this with Bossler if he had wanted to speak with me. He certainly had the opportunity, but chose not to.
At minimal cost to me, Storm Roofing Inc. repaired my roof leak.
On or about 02/22/18 I received a letter from BR. The letter was similar in nature to other complaints on BBB, Yelp and Next Door in that the complainants felt threatened or intimidated by a caller from BR purporting to be BR's attorney. Please see said websites.
I guess I was supposed to be intimidated as well.
Having retired from law enforcement and experienced just about everything imaginable you can imagine my reaction!.
Per due diligence I forwarded this letter to my Attorney.
The letter in question stated that I could void the warranty by having others perform any repair work.
NOTE: NO PROBLEM, BR will never be on my roof again or recommended to anyone I know which I had already done.
What's really interesting, BR wants to charge me $265.00 for the inspection call. Good luck with that. My attorneys response to that was most informative.
Finally, BR doesn't like my posting to Websites about BR as their letter to me indicated. As my attorney noted, it's not defamatory if it's factual and what I believe to be true.
BR could have avoided a poor review at almost no cost to themselves by just doing the right thing.
I can't wait to see how Bossler tries to spin this..Probably by blaming me?
Bottom Line: Avoid Bossler Roofing Inc.

I only give one star because you can't give zero. They are the worst excuse for a roofing company ever. Their work is horrific at best, and if you call to complain about a leak after they installed the roof, they get bent out of shape. I wouldn't let them install a roof on a doghouse let alone a real house!! Do yourself a favor and pass this company up.

Avoid this business. They are lying bunch of thief's. My roof is 6 years old and is now rotting and leaking because they did not flash it. They refuse to even return a phone call. It may look nice when it is first done but watch out a few years later when their shotty workmanship shows up.

Do yourself a favor and find another roofing company. They must tell everyone 2-3 weeks and then you wait months. Work is shoddy and sloppy. They don't believe in customer service. They made a mess of everything on my property and then tell me they will send someone to clean up????? They did not want to take care of any issues we had with them instead they basically threaten you with a lawsuit if you don't pay. The bottom line is all about the money not the customer satisfaction.

5/5/17 Called to get estimate on leaking Florida room aluminum roof.
5/11/17 employees came and started tarring and nailing 'loose' nails on house roof shingles. Did not come to the door to let me know they were there, just climbed up on my roof and went to work. I had to yell to stop them since that was not the work we wanted done. Was told that, yes, that is what my husband wanted done. Finally employee called office and found that I was correct.
5/12/17 Office called to schedule estimate. Estimate was delayed twice because of weather. 5/16/17 Approved bid
5/29/17 Called for ETA on job was told someone would call me back. Later call said we should hear something by Thursday, 6/1/17.
6/5/17 Called to ask if someone could come put a tarp on our roof since we had a waterfall in our Florida room. Was told 'We don't do that.' Asked when work would begin. Was told be respond to e-mail with the receipt for services and she would get it to someone. i told her we only had the bid approval. She asked if we had paid anything yet. I replied no. Se said that then we did not have a contract.
6/8/17 Called to cancel job. Was told we had a contract and she would have 'someone who knows the legal side' call.
Can't wait!! I am sure I will be editing this after talking to 'someone who knows the legal side' of this.

Bossler came and replaced my roof at a reasonable cost. They also came quickly and worked efficiently. I would definitely recommend.

1/3 of a year, 4 months, 17 weeks, 119 days. That's how long it took to get our roof completed with Bossler roofing. We have never been so frustrated with a business transaction than while dealing with this company. When we signed the contract we were told that the roof could be started within 2-3 weeks or so, we waited 10 weeks. We were told that the roof could be done within 2 months or so, we waited almost 4 months. We spent almost $18,000 dollars on this roof, and the least we could ask for was a little customer service and communication. The salesman we signed the contract with was a smooth talker, but almost everything he told us that wasn't in the contract was a total load of crap. My wife and I asked three times over a three month period if we could speak to someone in management about our concerns, we got NO reply. Several of my e-mails were never replied to, and the office staff would give me timelines that were rarely ever accurate. During the permitting period I called and was told that the permit was finally ready at the city. It took 2 weeks from that point for someone from Bossler to pick up the permit and start work on the house. We were not a priority for this company and it couldn't have been more obvious.
We chose our tile on August 1st, and they did not begin work until Oct 17, that's 10 weeks. Bossler can blame the delay on city permits all they want to, but 10 weeks to start work? During this time I had called many times and got the runaround or not called back at all. I even tried to call the guy who we signed our contract with, NO reply. At this point my wife called and asked to speak to a manager. The person on the phone was rude and said there was no one else that we could speak to. A reputable business would have been understanding and had someone call us back to address our concerns. The ironic thing is that Bossler called me that same night to tell us they were starting work the next day. So basically after waiting 2 1/2 months, they gave us less than 24 hours notice that they were going to start tearing off the roof.
During the second day of work the delivery of supplies was so late ( 5 hours ) that the roofers had to go out and pick up supplies themselves. At that point we had to wait 14 days with nothing but felt on the roof during south floridas many rainstorms. I was told later that they can keep felt on the roof for 30 days and your roof will be fine, but seeing as this comes from Bossler, I'm not sure if that's true. During the removal of the some of the old fascia, there was some damage to my soffit. I called the office and asked if this would be fixed. I was told that the damage to the soffit was not covered under the contract, but for me they would fix it. How nice of them......it was never fixed
Now on November 4th I sent yet another email wondering why we had no second tile delivery and no return phone call and asking yet again to speak with someone about it. Well apparently I had finally gotten their attention. After 3 months of asking I got a call back......from their ""LAWYER""! Why on earth would a ""lawyer"" be calling me back? Well he was extremely rude, combative, harassing and defensive from the start. He did not address any of my issues. He listed dates and times and told me point blank to pay them what I owed them if we wanted our roof finished. When I listed my concerns he responded that he was unconcerned and that they have plenty of happy customers. When I complained about not getting returned phone calls and emails from the office staff , the ""lawyer"" threatened me to ""watch myself"". Apparently someone on the office staff is the wife of someone in the company. Now keep in mind that I did not say anything rude or offensive to be the recipient of such a threat. He blamed delays on weather and other vendors while taking no responsibility for anything. The ""lawyer"" just kept saying the same thing....."" Do you want your roof finished or not?"" Having a nasty unprofessional ""lawyer"" contact us about our concerns should tell you all you need to know about this company. I truly believe that we were contacted by the ""attorney"" to try to intimidate us.
My only recourse at this point is to write this very long, detailed, accurate review of the events with Bossler so no one else makes the same mistake we did. I have phone records and emails of all of our correspondence. I know what was promised and not delivered. I have lost rebate money from my homeowners insurance policy for the time wasted installing this new roof. I'm sure Bossler will try to respond to this review by blaming us ""the customer"" but I assure you, this is the truth of what happened. Do yourself a favor, if you need a roof ,go elsewhere. Bossler earned this review for themselves.

Currently in conversation with real estate attorneys to investigate disparity in materials charged in invoice vs actual use. At this time, this case is being treated as a potential scam/fraud case.

The service was non-existence. And language issue is not synonyms to poor service/altitude.

I always find it interesting that some people who write negative reviews are always surprised that they either don't read their contract or write down what they expect from a contractor who they hire...Bossler Roofing did a great job on my home in Boca Raton and found the owner eager to make us happy with our new roof...So i would recommend their company, as i did, to two other neighbors...
