After the heavy rains we had several leaks, called Bob. He came out to see the roof, gave us an estimate and then came back himself to fix it. Next rain the leak was worse then before , we called a different company to come out and look at the roof. The new guy pointed out what Bob had done. Bob had put some caulking on 2 nail holes and billed us $800 for making the problem worse.
The company is unprofessional , do very lousy work. Do not hire these people if you want your issues resolved and not be overcharged for poor work .

Bob Piva Roofing replaced our entire complex roofing and skylights ten years ago and his crew were outstanding. He offers an long term warrantee and total stands behind his work. He has been very responsive to all of our calls especially during these torrential rains. I would highly recommend him, especially for HOA jobs!

We purchased a house that came with a 20 year warrantied, near new Bob Piva roof. It seems any business with their longevity is doing something right, right? In my experience, the guys that came to do the warranty work is what they do right. We had a leak that vexed everyone that attempted to fix it (2 contractors, 2 roofing companies). Two years ago, the first time Bob Piva came out, they did a thorough inspection, both on the roof and in the attic. The leak was in a place where there was no attic access, and the source of the leak could not be observed. The first suspect was flashing that was installed upside down. We had the flashing replaced in summer, and, until the next rain storm with a strong north wind (important data point), it seemed to have done the trick. Alas, no. The next strong storm came, and the leak was back. I called Bob Piva. I was honestly a little perturbed that there was still a leak, but they took care of me promptly.

Noe and Marcos--the boots on the ground and the guys up the roof get 5 stars, 10 stars if I could. They attacked this leak relentlessly, went over everything, and, even though Noe suspected the roof was sound, he still pulled up the shingles, inspected the underlayment, laid new tar paper and re-roofed. We've had storm after storm this season. They would come back after the rain, reinspect, and do all they could to find the source. Finally, in a professional manner, Noe recommended I have the chimney inspected. I say professional because they did everything possible to ensure that the roof itself was sound and not leaking BEFORE they even mentioned other possible sources. They refused to lay blame elsewhere. That says a lot to me.

Yes, it was the chimney all along. And, it was a difficult leak in that the water would wick into a 3 inch space between an interior cedar ceiling and the roof. There was never any intrusion from the roof itself. It would only leak when the wind blew hard from the north, and, sure enough, the chimney leak was on the north side.

So, why four stars and not five? It goes back to the office and salesman. When the guys on the roof had to get approvals from ""the office"", without going into details, I'll just say the ""home office"" experience warranted 1 or 2 stars.

I cannot say enough about Noe and Marcus, Noe in particular. These guys are great and they went way above and beyond.

I guess the real question is would I use them to put a new roof on? I know that construction is a tough business, and that a business's resources need to be allocated in the most profitable manner. Given that, and the wonderful experience of their roofers watching out for us then, yes, I would get a competitive bid from them.

Bob Piva put a new roof on our entire house in 2002 at a reasonable price. We have had no problems until the severe winds during the first storm of 2017 whipped up some areas around a skylight and caused leaks into our living room.

They were good on their warranty of 20 years no leaks. They came out the same day I called and repaired the problem the next day!

After the heavy rains last week we found a small leak in our kitchen. We made an appt with Bob and they came out to see our roof on time as planned. Very nice, friendly and explained the situation to me. He said my roof was not as bad as I thought and explained how we could fix it without having to reroof the entire house. It was nice to know that he did not automatically try to sell me a new roof. I would recommend Piva Roofing.

They were highly recommended by a friend. I called & the very pleasant office person said she was not sure if they worked in my area of town. She asked me to call the estimator which I did. The estimator was nice and said he would come. I called the office back & set up an appointment for a week and a half later ( their first available). The morning of the appointment 1.5 hours before he was to arrive the same person who said he would come said his boss saw his schedule & said he couldn't come. It's not like my address was a suprise, they agreed prior only to cancel the day of the appointment. Very unprofessional.....I would say look elsewhere

Worst experience with a roofing contractor in my life. They put a new roof coating on a house I purchased. It had a 3 year guarantee against leaks. Before closing escrow I got in writing from them that the leak guarantee would transfer to me as the new owner. The first month I lived here there were leaks which damaged drywall. I called them numerous times and left numerous messages. They didn't return my calls. Finally I did get a hold of someone and they tried to tell me the guarantee doesn't transfer to the new owner. I told them I had it in writing that it did. They came out to do one spot repair. A while after that an entire portion of a room was collapsing because of water pouring in with $7,931 in damage. I had to hire another company to do the work because this company wasn't returning calls. Currently there are still 2 major leaks when it rains that I'm trying to get repaired. I finally spoke with Bob Piva, the owner, on the phone about all my issues with the work. He said he would personally come out then angrily stated ""If I were you I wouldn't want ME to know where you live"". The statement doesn't really make sense since he does know where I live since he did the job. Anyway it was told to me in a threatening way so they are no longer allowed on my property. I also spoke with the manufacturer of the roofing product they used. The very nice gentlemen from the roofing product company came and told me they shouldn't have used that specific product on a roof that gets ponding water.

Mr. Pica was very rude and disrespectful on the phone. Although he gave an hour arrival window he never called to say he was on his way. He refused to give an estimate for repair.
