My selection here was primarily based on a prior (4 years ago) visit by this fine company.

When researching on Owens Corning site I found they were the TOP rated local company with the HIGHEST Platinum rating. I selected Bob Jahn's. One of the losers told me ""I was in good hands."" The price was right. Representative Ryan was always in touch. All questions were answered on the spot. Lead roofer Benjamin made sure of excellent work. 50 year OC roof warranty + 10 year workmanship from Bob Jahn. You can't go wrong with Bob Jahn Roofing & Insulation.

There are aspects of their business that are good; however, being gas-lit and ignored aren't great work ethics. New tiles were installed within the year and are presenting installation issues. Trying to get them to call me back and have an adult conversation is extremely challenging. The owner's daughter Tiffany shouldn't be in charge as she sets such a negative tone and honestly is extremely infuriating to deal with.

I got a brand new composite roof plus gutters from Bob Jahn's, and I recommend that anyone looking for a new roof will call them for a quote. This is a lifetime decision and you want to be sure to have as much knowledge as possible to be sure you make the best choice. My salesperson, Randy, was incredibly knowledgeable! He spent a lot of time listening to me. He asked great questions and also provided the most informative responses out of all the companies that quoted my job. My installation manager, Guy, was very clear, personable, professional, and easy to work with. This is a local, family business and they absolutely demonstrate the kind of consideration and ethic that one would expect. I am very pleased with my beautiful new roof and if i had it to do over, i would choose Bob Jahn again!

I am sitting beneath a very large hole in our dining room wall and ceiling as I write this.

In May of 2022, Bob Jahn's Roofing installed a new roof on our home. Just 7 months later the interior dining room ceiling of our home began to show evidence of water damage. After the latest rains in March, we witnessed further evidence of interior water damage on dining room walls/ceiling and damage to the exterior plaster wall. We then hired a former general contractor and city inspector to conduct a water test solely on the gable flashing of our home, and it showed evidence that the flashing work installed by Jahn's Roofing in 2022 had failed. As part of the water test, our hiree opened up the dining room wall and ceiling to observe whether water was entering the structure from the down gable roof area. It was. The water testing showed water actively coming into the attic and wetting the plates and studs etc.

We contacted Jahn's Roofing on April 3, 2023 to remedy the situation. Jahn's Roofing immediately agreed to do so the same day and had a construction company contact us to schedule inside plaster and drywall repairs; Jahn's Roofing also deployed an employee to conduct external repairs the next day.

When Jahn's Roofing was on site on April 4, 2023, their employee removed the original caulking on the gable flashing and replaced it with new black caulking. He stated that the white caulking installed by Jahn's Roofing in April 2022 was an inferior product to the black replacement caulking material he installed that day. While breaking out the cracking/crumbling white caulk material the employee stated: ""It must have been a bad seal... See, this caulking shouldn't even do this, like break up like that. I'm just being honest...I'll need to make another trip once it's cured (his newly installed black caulk) and dried and water test it."" He removed all of the white caulk material from the entire length of the down gable roof area which I personally observed while standing on a ladder. I asked him: ""So you're saying that it was just the bad caulking?"" to which he replied, ""Yeah."" We have this conversation on video.

Then, a few days later, instead of returning after the caulking had cured in order to perform a water test, Jahn's Roofing switched tack and suddenly claimed that the water damage to our home was due to the attic vent. Today they are refusing to cover the cost of repairs.

We have opened a complaint with the Contractors State License Board to hold this company accountable to do the right thing.

In mid-January, the storm blew off half our shingles causing rainwater to leak into two upstairs bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. I was able to get the roof tarped in the meantime by another roofing company. I met with 5 roofing companies, but they were very booked out and many of them told me that it would be over eight weeks out until we could get our roof repaired. Not only did Randy have the best presentation, but he was also extremely kind. Their bid was also extremely competitive. Bob Jahn Roofing also had a very packed schedule, but Randy told me he would do his best to discuss the possibility of moving us up in the schedule since our house was in dire need of a new roof. Randy told me that although another company did our tarp, Bob Jahn roofing would maintain our tarp until we got a new roof and re-tarp if bad weather caused any damages to the tarp. I had mentioned to Randy that we were considering canceling our honeymoon so we could stay home to monitor the roof since another storm was coming, and Randy even offered to personally drive by our house while we were gone to make sure that the tarp still held up.

After Randy talked to his team, Bob Jahn Roofing was able to move us up in their schedule and sent their team out less than 1 week from the time we met with Randy. They needed the weather to get better before they started. The new roof took three days to complete. The team was very prompt when they arrived, getting there at 7AM each day to work on our roof. They also cleaned up the backyard and all their tools. They even cleaned up all the shingles that had fell from the storm. We had some dry rot, but they reported it to us before they started working on the repairs. The change order for the dry rot wasn't a surprised because Randy discussed it during our initial meeting. Our new roof looks beautiful and most of all ... NO LEAKS! They also have a multi year workmanship warranty and will come back for repairs if anything at all happens with the roof ... which is very comforting for us.

Because this was an insurance claim, I needed to continuously submit paperwork to my insurance company. Every time I asked Randy for paperwork ... he would help me with no hesitation, and I was able to get the storm damaged parts covered.

After installation, we had an issue with one of our refrigerant lines from the HVAC system coming too close to the roof. Tiffany helped me find building codes to state this. I contacted our HVAC company and Bob Jahn Roofing. The HVAC company was not very helpful, but luckily Tiffany and Randy from Bob Jahn helped us arrange to get one of their specialists to come out and help us with the issue. It's very cold and my elderly mom lives with us, but Tiffany really cared and wanted to help us get the issue resolved as soon as possible.

I absolutely trust their workmanship and they are very kind and continue to be helpful.

We had a leak in our vent fan during the big storm. I contacted a few roofers on Yelp and Bob Jahn's was the most responsive. Scheduled a guy to come out in a week to get evaluated. They called me a few days later and got someone out much faster.

They actually showed me some potential issues on the roof and explained a lot in detail. They came out and repaired my T vent and ridges since they were worn down.

For the work and time the price was very reasonable. The owner and staff and roof repair workers were super friendly, knowledgable, and professional.

Will be getting a full roof evaluation in a couple weeks to possibly have our whole roofs shingles replaced since they are down to the fiberglass.

Really appreciate the time and responsiveness during these crazy times with the storms.
