BR did an excellent job and the work was done in a timely and professional manner. In both cases, BR worked closely with our insurance company to make sure we received full coverage due. They put a new roof on and everything seem fine. After a storm I started smelling mold and discovered it came from the closet in my spare room. There was a leak. It took me forever, months to get them to respond to come out to look at it. They came out finally and said they would take care if it. Months later I still have not had anyone to call to scheduled repairs and they will not respond to my calls. They have not stood behind their warranty.

I would steer clear of Blue Ribbon Roofing. I looked into them myself after speaking with the owner, John Hopkins, about roof repairs. I had also seen their name as a sponsor for a local event as well as a volley of advertisements around town, so initially they seemed reputable. However after doing some basic digging I found that the owner has operated under several different business names: Signature Roofing, Bold Renovations (and variations thereof, ie Bold Roofing), and most recently Blue Ribbon Roofing. That was the first red flag. So I looked into his various roofing companies a little more closely. Quick searches of public databases show poor BBB ratings and numerous complaints from former customers for failure to complete work, improperly completed work, taking money and never doing any work, and failing to return money. Looked a little more and found civil lawsuits against him and/or his various businesses in Collin county, Dallas county, as well as in Oklahoma. Several of them appeared to end in judgements against him. This is all easily verifiable public information. I even came across someone's home security video on YouTube that claims to be of Hopkins stealing another roofer's yard sign; not sure how they confirmed it was him but it sure does look like it is him and his rather unique Dodge truck. With that much negative information found based on just a quick search of public sources it does not seem like an owner or company to trust with your money or home repairs. I was fortunate enough to be able to pull out of the deal before I lost any money.

10/9/2017. The worst contractor experience to date! Roof was done on 6/20/17 and gutters and AC repairs were to follow. As of today there are still 3 large metal bolts in my roof with a shade sail hanging from them that were to be taken down when roof done. The roofers cut the new roofing materials around these tie downs?As of this morning it's all still there. The owner, John Hopkins, Just called me back for the first time since 8/7/17, rude and yelling . I had to arrange to get all the AC repairs and gutters done on my own, and even though there was an appointment scheduled for the roof to be done when I would be home, they came out on a day I was working and was not there?? Their gutter contractor contacted me once to ""squeeze me in"" and then didn't show up until dusk...too dark to do the work. Their HVAC person never showed. It was a COMPLETE MESS! and is still being resolved. Do yourself a favor and don't use this roofer!

John Hopkins made the whole transaction very seamless, he inspected it, helped call in my claim, and even offered deductible assistance. He said he would roof me the same weekend it got approved and to be honest I was a bit skeptical at first but damn they roofed my entire house in the same day which really shocked me and I know its great quality because we got roofed before both the recent hailstorms and I haven't seen any damage yet. This company went above and beyond to have the most competitive service and price without compromising quality. I would gladly recommend this honest business to anyone.

After the hail storm that came through the Collin county area I needed a new roof. I found these guys and they were unbelievably helpful. They helped me choose the best route to go with my roof and offered me a fair price for the work. Overall I am pleased with the job.

They are pathetic. The owner is as crooked as they come. Cheap material, takes short cuts. My sister had them and we had to get another roofing company to come out to redo the long ridge and caulk around the vents (which they did not do).
