Scott Hooten from Blue Dot Construction took a down payment of $12,000 from me for a roof replacement job back in November, 2015. To date he has yet to start the job or refund my money. Stay away from Scott Hooten.

Worse experience ever. I hope no one else has to put up with Scott Hooten of Blue Dot construction. He agreed to complete a snap-lock standing seam metal roof, replace the decking below, remove and replace all fascia, soffits, and siding with Hardie fiber cement board. He has broken every contract we had, taken THOUSANDS of dollars from us while the job is still not done almost a year later, damaged almost every room in my house (while decking was removed), ruined my carpet, damaged furniture, and still has not completed the project almost a year later. He did not get a permit when required and he did not know or ensure his workers completed work according to code. After personally witnessing and intervening multiple times, I can not trust any of his work to be completed in a safe manner. Unfortunately, because all the material I purchased has been used and mis-used and because of all the damages to parts of the house not under contract, there are not funds to hire someone else to complete the job. I wish Blue Dot construction would return the money wrongly taken from me and cover damages they caused so that I could hire a competent company to come in a redo everything correctly.

One of my customers was taken for over 12 grand from these ""men"". This ""company"" quoted a roofing job, took 12 grand up front and then ran off. You give this industry a bad name. Pathetic excuse of a company and human being.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! Check out the reviews for Scott Hooten's previous company, Top to Bottom Roofing. This guy is a piece of work! He took my deposit for a kitchen remodel back in JANUARY 2016 of over $4k and when I cancelled the contract within the three day period, he did not want to give my money back. No work had been performed, no materials bought, not even a timeline had been set. He pretended like he did not get my email to cancel, but it was time stamped. He had spent the entire deposit the very same day I gave it to him, NOT on my project. I hired a lawyer and paid $1000 for that but he still would not pay me back in full. He has only paid back $2,300 so far and still owes me thousands but I haven't heard from him in months. I even went through arbitration and he admitted to taking my money and spending it on other things. WHATEVER YOU DO, NEVER EVER GIVE SCOTT HOOTEN ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!

can i give 0 stars? Hi i am a former employee of blue dot construction. i was in need of a job and i am a very hard worker so ron and Scott gave me a job. From day one Ron and Scott have lied to their customers and most importantly their employees, First off Ron will say whatever you want to hear, he will butter you up and then take your money and he will hire new people like me who he has never met before just to get free work out of them.. i did a siding job where we replaced old siding with new and re did the roof.. i have not been paid for this and its been 3 months.. the money from the customer has ran out and the job is sitting incomplete because Ron and Scott cannot manage money cannot deliver a good service. if you're reading this and thinking about hiring them you will not regret listening to me when i say do not trust these guys they are scam artist who don't know anything about construction and everything about getting a sale. once they get the job they tell the construction worker to figure it out. mind you they don't have a foreman nor do they have experience themselves so they have a bunch of helpers that they pick up for the day to try and get it done and still won't pay anybody, but he will continue to find new people to rip off so be aware of these people. i am 1 of 10 employees that i know hasn't been paid from these guys and i put in over 60 hours of work. once they are done with you they will block your number and will not respond to anything so maybe they will see this and go to h e double hockey sticks.

I've used Ron to replace the roofing on two different houses, he was very timely and reasonable priced. I'm very happy with the quality of his work and am about to hire him to install privacy fencing on my property. I highly recommend him!

Started out very strong - great quote, paint job that was quoted was done well and on time, but in the proposal there was also a line item clearly included to repair our back door. Ron said he would come by on a Thursday, never came, when reached on the phone he cited an emergency and said he would come out the next Thursday, never came, and has not responded to e-mails or calls since. I have given up at this point - very disappointed at the end.

The roof repair was done promptly and on budget. The Fascia/Siding and roof replacement where a cutout had been located looks (and feels) as if there was never a cutout there. The new vent in the rear of the house is better than what was there before - many thanks to Ron for being a perfectionist about the measurements.
