Donny S.Installation and start up went great but i am very unhappy with the performance of my panels. I got a huge, 39, panel system 39 panels!!!! As i write this the whole system is in the sun and i am still pulling from PG&E. All that is running is 2 ceiling fans, 2 TVs, a variable speed pool pump, household appliances, a few clocks and computer equipment. NO AC or lights, very poor performance. Do not let them talk you into Winaicos! I had a smaller Sun Power system on my much larger much older house and it performed beautifully. Had a credit at Tru Up every year. 6 months after installing a huge system with Bland and my PG&E is already $350 plus my $225 a month to bland. Do your research, east facing panels aren't worth it, don't know if it's the micro inverters or if my salesman should have worked out a better layout for my panels.
Still frustrated with my system, make them give you different options and projected output for each configuration. They saw a very large area that all of my panels would fit on and I just agreed. If they would have put some facing west and some facing south I would be producing 30% more power than I am now with the same system. They know these things and just sucker us into thinking they are looking out for us. Do your research don't believe anything they say.
Jason P.We were very disappointed in the customer service at bland solar stockdale hwy location. The first impression is a lasting impression. Needless to say we went with another company. I was very surprised, especially after seeing all the good reviews.
Jim R.I had Solar installed over ten years ago (before Bland was in business) and was having problems with the panels. The company that installed them was out of business, so after checking reviews I called Bland. They came out and checked my panels and found them to be going bad and creating shorts in the system. They disconnected the bad from the system, so that I was still getting some benefit. They also advised me that there was a class action against the manufacturer ( which was of immeasurable help). I joined in the lawsuit thanks to Bland's help. It took about 14 months to get the problem resolved and new panels installed. I had hoped to have the work done by Bland, however, due to the settlement the contract was given to a company who was not local nor were their latest reviews Stellar. After the work was done I was not very happy, because they had done a poor job. With the panels being on the front of the house it is important to do a presentable job. I took pictures of the what it looked like and went down to Bland. I showed them the pictures and they immediately understood my situation. They gave me a reasonable estimate of the cost to fix it and make it look right. Two days later two men showed up bright and early. They moved some of the panels and removed the excess support framing (I originally had 40 panels and were replaced by 28 slightly larger and more powerful). They at all times were professional, helpful, (even knowing that due to the settlement they could not get the job) and courteous. When I knew I needed the other companies work cleaned up I knew who to contact. Bland lived up to and exceed my expectations, I highly recommend them. A thank you to all the people at Bland as I got a lot of help over the time.
Leslie C.Wonderful customer service from a local business is always A+ in my book. The entire process for the solar system installation was explained thoroughly. Everyone was helpful, answered all of my questions along the way and were able to get everything done fairly easily. The installation crew was friendly, cleaned up after themselves and did a beautiful job. Everyone behind the scenes dealing with paperwork, PG&E and the financing company was great as well. The panels have been up and running since yesterday & the monitoring system was installed today. So far, so good! Can't wait to see next month's power bill. Thanks for everything, Bland!
Bruce L.After doing a ton of research, we decided to move ahead with solar on our home. Bland Solar made the whole process quick and easy.
All of our questions were answered by experts in the field and the Solar Showroom provides a great opportunity to see the panels up close.
Bland handles all of your PG&E paperwork, permits, etc and always kept us updated on where we were in the process.
The panels were installed, look clean and are not visible from the street.
We highly recommend Bland; so nice to work with a local business that still treats its customers as friends.
Robin B.My boss recommended Bland to us for Solar on our new home. After a few calls to various Solar companies in town (we prefer to use/buy local) we decided on Bland and I'm so happy we did! They stayed right on schedule and were attentive to all our questions and concerns. From the first time we walked into the showroom and when our Solar was up and running was about 7 weeks!
Bland solar drops you like a hot potato after you do a contract with them. Go with another company.
Yvonne J.Thank you Bland Solar and Air. Our system is up and running. Mr. Bland you have an awesome team from Danny our salesman, Lindsy project coordinator, Lalo and his crew for the installation, and the others that I didn't get their names, all the way to Eddie for setting up the Wifi and showing me how the system works. Great company, with outstanding employees.
Phillip A.One of the best experiences with a service company we have had in years. Great installer's great salesman follow up. We are very satisfied.
Charlie Z.Such great sevice. Dan the Solar Man, showed us how to do the math to compare all the different offers for cost to value and they were the best. They have been great in service before, during, and after installation.
We had great communications with the office, the installers and the salesman. I would recommend them to my best friend.
We added solar and changed our air conditioning from 2006 with a seer of 13 to a seer of 18 and now we can afford to keep our house cool.
The HVAC people came out and changed our ducting, by adding some new, enlarging some, fixing long runs and the price stayed the same as the quote. Out system is now so efficient that PGE are paying us, feels good!
