Kurt and Lisa, after 28 years of marriage, form a strong partnership in managing Biltmore, a family-run business. Both were college athletes with a drive to succeed, channeling that commitment into fruitful careers. Lisa worked as an insurance adjuster for Liberty Mutual, while Kurt developed his customer service and marketing expertise in corporate sales.
Tired of the corporate environment, the couple established Biltmore to spend more time with their children and improve an industry often lacking in service and branding. From that moment on, they have dedicated themselves to building Biltmore's reputation and raising their two daughters, both currently in college on golf scholarships.

Recommended Customer Reviews

I was very hesitant to give a review at all because I typically take my lumps and just go home. But recently, I have been talking to friends and neighbors who used this company, and we all had the same uncomfortable experience. I used them a decade ago to reroof my house and put new gutters and gutter guards on it. They did an adequate job last time but used a shingle that was substandard and started to peel after 10 yrs. I called them back to see what we could do. They suggested I use the old ""insurance claim"" scheme that most roofers seem to be deploying these days to get their money and to get me a free roof. So, the owner filled out the paperwork, gave me the estimate, worked with the Insurance adjuster, etc...
When it came time to pick the shingles, we saw a nice architectural shingle that we wanted to use. He says, ""Oh that's only available on the West coast"" That seemed like a weird answer, especially since he gave us the option, and, as soon as we picked that option, it was suddenly ""not available."" I am thinking he had a shit-ton of some unpopular shingle he was trying to unload. We picked another one that was similar, though.
Fast forward to tear down and reroof day: The crew came out as promised and tore down the old roof. In the process they broke the front column on my entrance stairs which I pointed out to the owner. He kind of shrugged it off and never addressed it, forcing me to do the repair after they left. They got the job done on time and the quality was as average as roofs go.
Insurance experts? They told us that they work with insurance companies all the time and they know all the adjusters, etc... So, we figured that they would handle everything turnkey. Well, as it turns out, they want money up front, which comes out your pocket unless you want to wait for the insurance company to cut a check for the deposit. Secondly, once the job is done, they want the balance that day! WTF? The insurance claim takes time to process, close out, checks get cut, and sent. However, the insurance ""Experts"" wanted their money now and the harassment started immediately. I hounded the insurance company to expedite the payment and they we working as fast as they could. I got daily, and sometimes multiple times a day, calls about ""DA MO-NAY""! Jesus Christ! They must operate on a super thin budget using money from the current job to operate instead of having some reserves to carry them from job to job.
After the owner insulted me saying ""I am not a financing service for your roof"" (an exact phrase he used with two of my neighbors when the job was done on their homes) I lost my shit! I told them that when I get my Money, they will get theirs, that's how the whole contract and agreement written. After a few phone calls to the insurance company, Farmers, who was great through all of this, they agreed to direct deposit the remainder of the claim to my account so I could give Biltmore a credit card pmt. and get them off my back.
Fast forward 2 yrs: We are in the process of selling our house and the inspector pointed out a missing shingle and exposed nail heads. He also pointed out that one of the roof vents is badly damaged. The same roof vents they installed ""new"", or so I thought. Is It possible they used recycled materials on my roof? Possibly. Anyway, I am trying to get a hold of Biltmore to get them to do a warranty repair, which is supposed to cover the roof 10yrs from installation, and to provide me with the documentation on the warranty that I never received when the job was originally done.
Updated 8/9/2022: I did receive one phone call back and sent them the report from the home inspector. The owner, Kurt Blaurock said he would get a guy out here asap. It's been three days since I heard from him and nothing. I have sent texts and left messages and no return. These folks are shifty and not honest.
I would not recommend using this company. They are unprofessional, do below average work, and then forget your ass after the job is done and they get paid. RUN!

This company agreed to paint one wall from water damaged. They accepted the money from the insurance company then refused to do the paint job. They requested more money. I asked that they return the money to me, they did not. I took them to court. Kurt blaurock(owner) agreed to pay me $75 for 4 months. He made one payment. I took him to court again, he did not show up and Gwinnett Count Court awarded me $408. I filed FIFA and POST JUDGEMENT INTERROGATORIES against Kurt blaurock and Biltmore Roofing and Contracting. I am now waiting on his response or what else I need to do....

Biltmore Roofing replaced the entire roof just a week prior to us closing on our new home.
We had leaks shortly after moving in, we called and scheduled an appointment with Biltmore to handle the leaks, since they had replaced the roof, we figured there would be no one better, Biltmore was a no show, now I know why.....
It would have been covered under warranty!
per Biltmore $27,000 cost of the roof replacement.
Roofing comes with labor guarantees that Biltmore omitted.
Their workers damaged siding that we had to hire another contractor to come fix!
Don't do it, find someone with ethics.

DO NOT HIRE THEM. They will NOT fix any problems after installation. Biltmore Roofing failed to install drip edges when installing my roof and gutters, and have ignored all of my requests. Drip edges became a CODE REQUIREMENT in the state of GA in 2013, so it's surprising that they failed to install this. My home is now vulnerable to moisture, leakage and rodent intrusion. I've been trying to get them to come out and fix the issue but they kept saying, ""someone will reach out"". That never happened. Save yourself the trouble and hire a reputable company.
If you did have them install your roof, have someone else come out to see if drip edges were installed. If they weren't, you need to get that cared for ASAP.

I can't recommend these guys. They were a nightmare to work with. A roofing job that should have taken days took weeks. The owner stopped work mid job and demanded more money, although we had a signed contract. A subcontrator threatened to file a lien on my house as part of a pay dispute with Biltmore - be sure you get a lien waver from any contractor, especially these guys.
I paid someone else to finish the job.

This company is into quantity of sales not quality.
Initial quoting was ok, but these are the reasons for the low score:
1) Biltmore had to go back to insurance company twice to claim $ for additional roofing material. Why wasn't this addressed initially?
2) Kept asking to sign a contract without item 1 being fully resolved.
3) Very short notice on roofing material delivery and start date. Item 1 or
2 was not resolved when they started work.
3) After work was completed, owner started demanding payment even though this was an insurance reimbursement. Charged $150+ for credit card payment, since insurance company had not completed reimbursement.
4) Noticed several issues with roof work completed including decking that was not fastened in several areas.
5)Gutters not cleaned as per contract.
6)Tiling around vents was poorly done. Appeared that the insurance company was charged but old vents left in place and tiling put around it.
7) Trimming in certain areas of edges done poorly.
Have pictures of all items to prove statements above, which were also sent onto Biltmore to review.
After several calls, given up trying to get them to fix issues. Sales guy ignored calls and passed on info to Production guy who called once and never called again. If you want to sail on the Titanic, this is the company to replace your roof.

If you want to pay a 30% deposit up front before any work has begun, have a company repeatedly make scheduling promises that are not kept and then stop returning your calls, this is the company for you. We ultimately cancelled the work because we had no faith it would be done. The refund check that Biltmore promised to mail within 5 days of cancellation never came. After multiple calls and filing a BBB complaint, we had to drive to their office to pick the check up in person. One of the WORST customer service experiences ever.

Just as unpleasant and worthless as my first experience. When my roof continued to leak after Biltmore claimed to have repaired the problem, the company sent out the same person to reevaluate the situation and make further repairs. The guy was here for about 15 minutes, claimed he sealed the loose section of roofing, and then departed. Shortly thereafter, I was not surprised to find the roof leaking again in the SAME EXACT SPOT. In my opinion, Biltmore is a horrible company that is not concerned with customer service and they apparently employ repair personnel who don't know what they're doing. DO NOT HIRE.

I rate this company 4 Star. This is an update to my previously dissatisfied situation in which the manager contacted the salesperson and immediately contacted me back to ask what they can do to get the dissatisfied taste of the company out of my mouth in which the gentleman kiegan took it upon himself and came out the next day to address the issue. This shows great customer service as well eagerness to uphold their company reputation. I won't disclose the messy situation we got in but they way they handled it is up to my expectations.!

This is a top notch company...I called the office to see when some warranty work was going to be started on my leaky roof. Turned out the work had been completed 5 days prior...Jose came out, did the work and left NO sign of himself...I am beyond impressed with the professionalism and quality of the work done by Biltmore and i HIGHLY recommend them for all your contracting needs...especially roof repair.
