There is so much wrong with this experience that I can't even fit it in a review.

We had Big Valley install these double glass French doors and they are the worst thing I have ever done to my house.

They came from their manufacturer Premier Glass very scratched and nicked up. (Damaged) like they were pulled from someone else's house used. The manufacturer wouldn't replace them so Big Valley discounted them instead.

The door handle broke the first time I use it on the first day and then took countless trips and months to fix
because of their horrible communication.

It all started with the installation though, the opening wasn't square so the installer just cussed and crammed it in with no attempt to make it square. Very unprofessional!

Because the doors were installed too tight into an un square opening the doors are racked with uneven reveals and nothing lines up so the doors open and close hard. They don't even lock for safety.

We replaced all of the windows for our house with Big Valley windows in 2021. 6 mos later a window cracked in the front of our home and 2 years later we are still asking them to replace it. We are willing to pay, even though it's under warranty, and they still won't come out and do the work. I would never use them again and I would never recommend them to anyone. Terrible customer service. TERRIBLE!!

They did a great job installing the windows, a sliding glass door and a large livingroom picture window. Had to order a special odd sized small bathroom window. The dual pane windows help with sound, cold and heat. The workers were well-trained and professional. I am happy with the new windows.

My first home and I had many quotes on installing new windows and sliding glass door. I chose Big Valley Windows. Doug and his crew were exceptional in installing all windows. Very polite people and their work was done timely and well done. I have recommended them on the Nextdoor app and to friends. I would use them again.

First off I Was recommended this company for a restoration and they actually came thru and started rebuild. Got halfway done and then when they started to request more money more excuses more money. they weren't showing up when they said they were they started hiring cheaper people to get the job done it was a mess and 2 years later our house is still not finished. Definitely watch out for Sergio renovato owner contractor. Doug and Sergio are definitely ripping people off

I don't feel that company values or respects their customers. Our landlord had the windows replaced in our apartment, which was great. But unfortunately, we've had some troubles with one of the new windows. It didn't shut all the way or lock. When we brought it up to our landlord, Big Valley was contacted and it took them a very long time to respond to the situation. Then when they finally did come out to replace the window, they didn't! We were told that they were going to replace the window. The guys came out and started working saying they never were told to replace the window. So, basically they have horrible communication amongst each other and their customers. Now we have to wait for another person from Big Valley to contact another person from another company to get a replacement and then wait for who knows how long for this situation to be resolved correctly.

Doug is a consummate professional. He projects trustworthiness, exhibits expertise in his presentation and thoroughness in measuring and quoting the job. I received 5 bids for our window replacements and Doug was one of the best representing his company and product. He should definitely be considered when seeking home improvements.

Big Valley Windows was quick and accurate with their quote to replace nearly all of my interior doors. They visited several times to confirm measurements and to match paint. They provided me with many options for style, color, and handles. When a couple handles arrived with the wrong finish, they rectified the situation quickly. Their work was excellent. Every single person I interacted with was polite, friendly, and professional.

Two caveats: due to the lumber supply issues of 2020-21, the project took much, much longer than the 30-45 days I was originally quoted (completion took closer to 4 1/2 months). There were times when I would not hear anything from them for weeks. I can attribute this to unique market circumstances and don't anticipate they will have trouble meeting their timelines in the future. I would certainly use them for future projects and recommend them, provided they are able to meet their quoted timelines in the future.

I also believe the deposit they required before starting any work ($1,600) may have exceeded what is allowed in California (max of 10% or $1,000, whichever is less), but I'm not 100% sure on the rules there.

Overall, once the project was completed, I was ecstatic with the quality of materials and the quality of work performed.

I met Doug at the home show a few years ago and he came out and gave us a quote for siding, roof & insulation, windows, exterior paint and when asked about what siding would be replaced he said ""it will look like new and if there are any problems to let him know and he would take care of it"". Well, let me tell you it was a very long year and a half. after a lot of siding that was not replaced or secured, leaking windows and damaged drywall that was never repaired by good old Doug. He did send some new guys out (since we told him that the previous crew was no longer welcome on our property) and the new crew was great! Unfortunately the drywall was never repaired and now after spending more that $30,000 for repairs i will be out of pocket for that.
I would NOT recommend Big Valley Windows to clean my windows and I surly would never recommend them to replace them.

We had our roof replaced with Doug and his crew in October. I highly recommend them! Everything was done quickly and in the utmost professional manner. Doug answered all my questions (and I had many!) without hesitation.
They were also the lowest quote out of 6.
Will definitely call them again for any home improvements I need in the future.
