I hired Big Tina Roofing to re-roof my Townhome. They required 50% up front, which I paid, and the remainder was due at the time of service. During the job, wood rot was noted/reported and I was advised by their rep Randall ""80 feet of 1x2"" (which is the perimeter of the roof) and ""a sheet of plywood"" would be replaced for an additional $675. I paid Randall the remainder of the job cost plus the $675. The day after completion, I went to the property and noted only a small section of 1 x 2 was replaced (approximately 10 feet) with what appeared to be furring strips. Also noted obvious wood rot with a large amount of silicone caulking surrounding the area. I immediately reached out to Randall via text message with pictures showing my concerns. The next morning I received a text from Randall but based on what was said, it was clear the text was not meant for me. Randall stated ""This lady sent this to me Sunday"" ""She paid lol"". I called Randall and advised him that I was not pleased with his statement and asked for a call back from the owner, which never happened. I called the company phone number numerous times over the next several days but would only receive a voicemail. Detailed messages were left with a return call request, but never received. I found an email address for the company ""VP of sales"" (David Bassett) and sent him an email detailing the above, also included pictures. He responded and advised me that this was the first of him hearing about this and that he would get with the owner (Greg) and ""get this handled"". A few days later someone went out to the property and replaced a small section (approx 18"") of 1x2 plus 1x6 (which was never discussed). The trim on the house (the 1 x 6) is cedar and now does not match. Additional emails were sent to to David in hopes of getting this resolved. The first several weeks I was told Greg was on vacation, then Greg had Covid, then David stopped responding all together. These people don't care about their customers or the job they are paid to do. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. I have spread the word amongst my realtor/property manager friends. If just one person takes heed of my warning, then my $675 loss will not in be vain.

I cannot say enough positive about this experience. That July tornado lifted half the roof off my house and I was super bummed. Mark +1 (904) 536-5877 with Big Tuna Roofing made this process as clear and painless as it could have possibly been. They were organized and communicated really well. The team showed up and was professional, they cleaned up after themselves, and ran magnets over multiple times looking for screws. Then Mark himself returned to inspect the job and did another sweep for screws. I cannot say enough positive about these people I really felt like I could trust them.
