Our grandfather, Jim Wells, started Big Jims Construction. In 1972, he launched the business in Acadiana alongside his three sons. The 1970s brought high inflation and inconsistent economic growth, complicating business growth. Yet, Jim Wells refused to give up. He was a dedicated worker who instilled the same work ethic in his three sons. He emphasized that doing quality work would attract more opportunities. Big Jims Construction has now been in business for over 50 years. We attribute our achievements to him and give all credit to God.

I have dedicated my life to construction, particularly in commercial and residential roofing, painting, and siding. Having been born in 1959 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I grew up working in this industry. I began my career by installing asbestos slate roofs and wood shake shingles. With my upbringing in this industry, I've seen and experienced nearly everything. :)
