Jim Wells, our grandfather, established Big Jims Construction. He began the business in 1972 in Acadiana with his three sons. It was tough to grow a business in the 1970s due to high inflation and uneven economic conditions. Despite these challenges, Jim Wells remained determined. A hard worker, he taught his sons the value of dedication. He emphasized that doing quality work would attract more opportunities. Big Jims Construction has now been in business for over 50 years. We attribute our achievements to him and give all credit to God.

We are licensed and insured. We hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Our experience exceeds 50 years. Family-owned and operated. Fourth-generation roofing contractors.

I have spent my entire life in construction, focusing on commercial and residential roofing, painting, and siding. I was born in 1959 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up immersed in this field. I began my career by installing asbestos slate roofs and wood shake shingles. Growing up in this field, I have encountered and experienced a wide range of situations. :)
