Big Jims Construction was founded by our grandfather, Jim Wells. He began the business in 1972 in Acadiana with his three sons. During the 1970s, high inflation and uneven economic growth made it challenging to expand. Yet, Jim Wells refused to give up. A hard worker, he taught his sons the value of dedication. He emphasized that doing quality work would attract more opportunities. We have proudly served the community for more than 50 years. We owe our success to him, and above all, we give God all the glory.

I have dedicated my life to construction, particularly in commercial and residential roofing, painting, and siding. I was born in 1959 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and grew up immersed in this field. I started with installing asbestos slate roofs and wood shake shingles. With my upbringing in this industry, I've seen and experienced nearly everything. :)
