My stairs had extensive dry rot damage and needed repairs. I found Best Value Home Improvements online, and I called them up. Frank came out and met with me the next day. He did an initial assessment of the work that needed to be done, and he took photos and put the entire scope of work into the contract. They were scheduled to do the work around the end of February, but they moved the work up two weeks earlier. I've met with Florencio prior to the work, and the dry rot was more extensive than previously thought. Frank was upfront about the extra charges prior to beginning work. Frank says that they might not be the cheapest price, but he said that it was a fair price, and I agree with that assessment. Florencio workmanship was professional and his estimation of the time it would take was accurate. What I liked about Best Value was that once they started work, they continued working on my project until it was completed. This is how it should be done. The project was completed with minimal stress.

Frank's team did a renovation of a 1928 bathroom- well, his workman, Pedro, headed things up. They did a fabulous job in 3 weeks time. I can't speak highly enough about this company. This is the second bathroom they have renovated for us and they certainly checked all the boxes. No surprises, no extra charges, stellar work- we are so pleased with our new bathroom.

Hoso is a fine craftsman, experienced, hardworking, and a genuinely decent person. I only wish that I consulted with him before we purchased some of the materials. We had a crew switch before the work started but maybe that was a good thing. We are very happy with the bathroom remodel work that he did for us. There are some things that Manny outsources completely, but he's an incredibly efficient scheduler, good to his word, easy to text, and his subcontractors show up with no surprises and do good work. He'll tell you what they can and cannot do up front. There are a few very minor items that I've noted in three months since the work was completed and I assume it won't be a big deal when I get around to calling Manny about them. We have another job if they come calling for quick end of year cash flow again. They are very results oriented so there's no time wasted on BS.

Frank and all his contractors did an amazing job on our home. We had to tear down a set of steep front steps up to our front door and decided to rebuild them in a different orientation and out of wood and brick. They turned out better than expected. Frank was responsive, stayed on budget, and worked with us when unanticipated change needs arose. His contractors were skilled and focused on delivering a high quality result. We highly recommend this team!

2 years later! I just want to add a follow up review. This should be incredibly valuable information for anyone shopping for an exceptional contractor who not only does a great job, but who is also honest and trustworthy and cares enough to follow up and make things right, even years later. Frank / Best Value Home Improvements IS your dream come true if that's what you're hoping for.
Please see my rave review from 4/26/2019 for details of the extraordinary work they did on two master bathrooms for our home. They were incredibly complex, and the work they did was just stunning.
Recently one of our sliding pocket doors kind of came off-track, and Frank had Batman (superhero for SURE this guy!) out here the next day, problem solved. (I'm attaching a pic of this door, they put this stained glass in this custom birch door and then created a pocket sliding door. There's nothing they can't do, beautifully! And then they stand by their work, even years later.) LOVE these guys. I'm sure there are lots of great contractors in the bay area, but I can't imagine anyone better than Frank, Batman and the rest of the crew at Best Value Home Improvements. Employ them with confidence!

Very happy with the work. Eleven windows were replaced, and they look amazing! The old ones were hauled away as well. Price was good, work professional and follow up very satisfactory. Would recommend to friends and neighbors.

We first used their services in 2015 when they painted the front of our house and did an excellent job very promptly. Since then they kept in touch periodically with friendly reminders, but never high-pressure. Within the past month we again contracted them to replace our rear windows and paint the rear of the house. Once again they came through with first-rate work at a better price than others that we contacted. There were absolutely no problems with scheduling or any other issues connected with the project. Highest possible recommendation, absolutely!
