After my ceiling had fallen in on me due to rain damage earlier in the year, I was looking to do more than just get the ceiling repaired--I figured if I am doing work, I'll do things I have wanted to do.

Per chance saw their mailer that fell in my garage, and figured I would contact them and get a quote. Frank (the owner) came over twice to go over the details of the work to be done and provided me a quote as well as updates based on change requests. Best Value was one the few companies that paid me much attention and showed up to provide a quote as well as follow up on the quote and my needs. They were professional and easy to work with. I was very happy with the results and my house looks great.

The project consisted of removing a wall between the kitchen and living room (which was load bearing), fixing dry rot in the frame of the house at the foundation, removal of old siding and install of new Hardie plank siding, new window in the living room, updating the tile work and installation of vent in the bathroom, install of Sheetrock and smooth finish of kitchen ceiling, painting the interior, and resurface and stain of hardwood floors. We had a separate structural engineer create the drawings and prepare the permit work and Frank took care of getting the permit.

Everything went smoothly with the permitting and sign off of the work as well as. I have to add that at the beginning of the project Frank listen to what I wanted and didn't try to upsell me or try to have me do things I didn't want, but provided helpful advice per my requests. He was always punctual and took care of things quickly and was available via text, which was easiest way for me to communicate.

Compared to some of the horror stories I have heard from friends and the contractors they used, Best Value was was very easy, didn't create any issues and responded to problems quickly. I would definitely recommend using Best Value for contractor needs.

Found Frank Ghorban and his company on a postcard slipped into the crack of our door. We have been looking for a contractor to take care of the larger projects outside and inside the home. At our initial meeting, we immediately felt at ease with Frank and that continued until the last day of our remodel. We had the popcorn ceilings removed, window fixed, repainted and installed new siding and built a brand new deck and new fencing. It looks like a brand new house and we couldn't be happier.
All was done on time and Frank was always made himself available to talk when questions arose. His workers we all just as professional, skilled and courteous. I have asked him to put me down as a reference for anyone considering working with him.

We needed someone to paint our house, which is perched on the side of a very steep hill. Frank's team did a spectacular job quickly and for a reasonable price. We were offered a price as good as our other estimates but with the ability to start the next day. We had a long white picket fence covering
our double unit property (both Holman and Bates) which needed four more posts and many picket stakes replaced, needing power washes and painting. Frank's crew of three worked just one day to complete this two day job and did an excellent job, thorough, neat with a good clean-up after. The men were quiet and pleasant to have around, requiring nothing. We liked their work so much we rehired them the next day to
scrape and paint the front of our garage and went on to combine this with the painting the wood frames and lattices of our large two front window as well as our front door. I had Frank come out to give me an estimate on my home in Oakland. New siding, insulation, windows, paint and two decks. He was extremely professional and quite honest in his estimate. He even gave me a few great ideas about other directions I could take the project. Although I ultimately wound up back burnering this project till next summer, I am very pleased with my discussions with Frank, his team, their professionalism and honest. Straight shooter for sure. I will definitely be giving these guys a call when the time is right.
