I hired Best Remodeling Solution (BRS) to weatherproof my flat roof and replace my gutters. The roof work was completed quickly. The gutters were more challenging due to the enclosed patio, which took some time to fix. Overall, Henry was helpful, and I'm satisfied with the work.

I have a large custom-built wall stone fountain that had fallen into disrepair. Repairing it required removing crumbling stone pieces and cutting/replacing with matching stone, then sealing the entire fountain. They also cleaned and sealed all my stone paths, a stone seat-wall, and barbecue/bar area. The job took two and sometimes three guys a total of three days. During the time they were here, I was kept informed of their arrival times and progress. When the job was complete, they cleaned up and everything looked new! I am very happy with their work and I have already referred them to a friend for a remodel job. I highly recommend!

""Sam"" knocked on my door today (a sunday).... I have a ""no solicitors"" sign on my door which he ignored. He said he didn't notice it. He said he wasn't selling anything. I asked if his services were free. he said of course they weren't free. I'm quite sure he was selling something. the flyer he had showed the name BRS roofing which doesn't have a yelp page. the small print on the flyer showed ""best remodeling solution"" which is this yelp page. the phone number and emails matched. I hate companies that lie and don't pay attention to detail. based on this sales call, BRS is one of them

My house is located next to a freeway on a small hill so there is a slant to my backyard. This company poured cement in my backyard, but did so incorrectly and even damaged a part of my home while doing so. Oz Faigel was the person whom I contracted with and though he initially said he was not the owner of the company and was just helping his uncle, I found out after everything was done incorrectly, that he is the CEO and owns over 10 percent of the company based on CSLB records. I have a more detailed complaint with the California State Licensing Board, but to put it succinctly, the work was not done according to industry standards and though I gave the company plenty of time and opportunities to correct the errors or return my money so I can pay someone else to remove the concrete and pour it according to industry standards, Oz refused both and continued to lie about everything that was done despite the contract terms and obvious errors. I had two concrete experts review the work, one of whom is a retired inspector for the state contractor's licensing board these were the major issues with their work:
1. They failed to install rebar in violation of the contract terms. The rebar indicated in the contract was #3, but industry standard is #4 so even if they had installed it, it would have been the wrong type.
2. The contract indicates crack joints every ""8 to 10 feet, yard square feet,"" but placed over 15 square feet or not placed at all were industry standard would require them to be placed.
3. The contractor has a ""B"" license, not a concrete license, C8, as required.
4. Contractor used psi 2500, but psi 3000 is industry standard.
5. A section of the original concrete was not removed and the company poured concrete on top if it.
6. The concrete began cracking in July, less than a month after it was poured.
7. After contract was signed, Oz told me that an additional fee of $2100 needed to be paid by me for alleged removal of ""additional concrete"" that was subsequently not removed and and a ""second dump truck"" needed for the concrete that never showed up. Oz knew I was in the middle of a refinance and the appraiser was arriving that next week so i agreed under duress and pressure, only to find out that the concrete was not removed and a second ruck never showed up. Also, he showed up on my front porch and demanded payment of the additional $2100 when I told the office that I was not going to pay for something that never occurred. I paid so he would leave and because he said he had to pay his employees. It was all a lie and a con.
8. The work was not done according to industry standards.
As stated, I filed a complaint with CSLB, the contractor's bond company, and now here. I will also file a complaint with the Secretary of State, Yelp, and any where else to warn others of this company's fraudulent behavior. The reviews they have online are not to be trusted. Some may be real, but I wrote good reviews also before I realized that the work was done improperly and in violation of agreed upon contract terms. They discount the job $100 for good Yelp reviews and want the review before the work is finished. So, you think all is well, you give a good review, then find out it isn't and have to go back and change it or delete it. This company is shady. I want my money back, all of it. they violated the contract terms and don't even care or think they are above the law. They are not.

I had a guest bathroom that required a stem to stern remodel and my normal contractor who redid my entire property (whom I adore) in 2019/2020 has been overwhelmed so I took a shot on this company off of the reviews. After an initial consultation with Oz, we agreed to terms. It took longer than the estimated time but given the chaos and uncertainty of securing materials during Covid I can overlook that. The subcontractors/laborers were the primary ones onsite and they were friendly, hard-working and addressed any concerns I had. I'm incredibly happy with the results and have no regrets in hiring them; should anything emerge that suggests there was anything shoddy I'll amend this review. One note - I was hoping that there was a more thorough clean-up, but that's the least important aspect of the whole job.
