This company should be last in your list for roofing repairs. My wife and I signed initially to a payment of 7300 for a roof, about a month after install we get notice that the roof was now over 9,000! Then months after that ( several months after the roof was completed ) we received info saying the roof was now over 10,000! These people are scam artist. The most previous addition to the bill was done 3 to 4 months after the roof was installed! These kind of company's should be shut down. Also they pushed my install back a week to 2 weeks when doing the job for who knows why..... And while if was getting pushed back, the material THAT HAD been payed for just sat in the middle of our driveway getting wet and weathered. Then was told the job should be done in a day, which it wasn't, and they came back on a weekend which we didn't want. And through all that, every time we were blindsided it was a different person calling every time and they were pretty rude. So needless to say if you want a roof done right , use someone else.

Outstanding work! Austin Badgett was extremely helpful from start to finish. Professional, knowledgeable, above and beyond expectations. Highly recommend Best Choice Roofing (BCR)!

Drake Milligan was in my neighborhood and stopped by to give a look at my roof. It showed signs of hail damage from a storm back in April. Drake and his company offered top quality products at a affordable price and Drake's knowledge and professionalism was awesome! The whole process was flawless from the paperwork to communication. I'm definitely satisfied!

I paid Best Choice to install a brand new roof over my entire house. The experience was poor from workmanship and customer service to follow up after a complaint. I called them when my new, top price, roof was leaking. After identifying that the roof was missing the glue that goes over nails and this was what is believed to be causing the leak nothing happened. They have yet to come out and fix it!! My roof leaked again last night and there is now visible water damage in my bedroom.

Interviewed here looking for an opportunity. The person interviewing me confided that he sometimes was able to get insurance adjusters to pay for roofs to be replaced when they did not need to be, or when a simple repair would have been better. Integrity is everything! After learning this, I would not recommend this company, or trust them with my home. I will discourage any neighbors or friends from using their services with this example. Hopefully it's an isolated incident with this one person, but I'm not taking the chance, and neither should you.

I just wasn't comfortable with the rep. wanted me to sign a contract right away. They also would not provide references or do an estimate.

**Roof not installed according to code + poor sense of ethic**
BCR installed a roof at my property in Marietta, GA in November 2013.
I was noticing some water damage to a side fascia and had BCR come check it. They informed me that the shingles were installed right at the edge of the decking and therefore not fully covering nor protecting the wood. Overtime, water infiltrated the 12'x1' fascia and decking.
The shingles were not installed according to the 2006 IRC code in place at the time mandating a 1"" overhang, nor per the manufacturer's installation instructions recommending a 3/8"" overhang.
After 3 weeks of not hearing back from BCR, I contracted another roofing company to come and fix the issue.
That was the last (for now) of my roof issues with BCR. Before that I had a leak at the same place that they had try to fix 3 times (the roof was 2 years old). I also realized that the drip edge code of the 2012 IRC International Residential Code came into effect 2 months after they installed my roof while they never mentioned it.

Well, so far anyway BCR and Arroyo Roofing (their subcontractor) are killing it! (Knock on wood.) Let me tell you my story. Had had some wind damage to my roof in the past and my new insurance company said I had to fix it or else they would drop me in a couple of months. Ok, that sounded like a few grand out of my pocket. Wasn't so happy but that's life. So I started calling and getting estimates (one came at 17K!) and got contacted by Mr. Black at BCR. He said he might be able to get my old insurance company to pay for a new roof. I signed a contract that said if he could get them to pay for a new roof, I would let BCR doing the work. Well, to my surprise, they did. Then I started reading some of the reviews for BCR and while most of them were good there were a few horror stories. On top of that, two things happened that made me panic. First, Mr. Black asked for an extra down payment on top of the $1800 check my insurance company gave them. Couldn't see why they needed it. If worse came to worse, the company could always lean the house. The general rule of thumb is that you don't pay a contractor more than 10% of the total ever unless you want to be put at the bottom on the list. Second, Mr. B said it would take about 3 weeks to get the job down. That really made me hit the ceiling cause if theyre asking to wait NOW what's it going to be like 3 months from now?
I almost cancelled the contract even though it would have cost me $1000. Ben and his boss managed to placate me and I crossed my fingers. Found out the reason it would take 3 weeks was (1) they have to get some paperwork from my old insurance company and (2) they had a bit of a back log. I was terrified at the prospect of my roof half on and half off my house and then having massive rain damage and then being in court for months.
In any case, the weather did NOT cooperate for about two weeks. Almost solid rain after a period of unremitting heat but finally we had a window of 1 or 2 days of good weather that was changing by the minute and they said they were gonna try it on Wed. Well, Joe from Arroyo Roofing the subcontractor was here and was very personable. His guys got to work and before NOON had it finished and cleaned up. Could not be happier. All told, it cost me $500 for my deductible and about $880 for upgraded top of the line archetitural shingles. If youre gonna do it, do it right. So far, could NOT be happier!

The good is that they have good sells people who make you trust in their services BEFORE they actually do the work. However, that is the only good thing that I can say about this company. The trouble started the night before the job, when the delivery did not have enough decking, when I called the sells person, I was assured that they would be overseeing the process, and that more would be brought out if needed. The crew that was sent out was a sub-contractor from out of state, where none of the crew spoke English. Despite, the fact that it was well known to the company that the roof was part of a complete renovation of my family home, this crew was surprised and visibly unpleased that another crew was working on property while they were there. The crew was completely unprofessional and kept calling my nephew- who is overseeing the renovation crew- an asshole in Spanish. I was told originally, they had their own crew and they were very professional and did a good job, so I was not pleased with the caliber of the sub-contractors at all. Of course, attitude can easily be forgiven if the quality of work is there, sadly it was not.
The job they did was rushed, full of mistakes, and completely shoddy. Visible dips in the roof, no clips used to support decking, some deck has only two nails where other parts are full of nails without any rhyme or reason to why. They were also not coordinating with my crew inside and would shoot nails dangerously close to my crew, without warning. One of the most obvious and unexplained defects in the work, is that they only replaced a small fraction of the decking, while leaving obviously warped, rotted, and molded decking on the roof. The representative from the company only appeared once for a brief period during the job, he did not seem concerned with the job being done right.
The absolute worst part of dealing with this company was after the work was done. I talked with the quality oversite manager in charge of this project, the next day and showed him the pictures of the work that was done. At first, he was defensive but when he started to listen and look at the problems with the job, he agreed to go out to the house that evening to inspect the work. He was shown one area and said he didn't have to look anymore, he made promises that they would make everything all right. At this point I was willing to work with them and get this resolved. However, about 3 days later, obviously he had talked with his supervisors and completely changed his tone and was saying if we wanted it redone there would be additional costs etc. I told him I wanted to speak with his manager and was called by him later that day. After a heated argument where the manager was arguing whose standards was I going by for decking needing replaced, and shoddy workmanship, he also started arguing the contract, talking about no verbal modifications to the contract. (I replied that if he wanted to resolve this in litigation, have his attorney call me since I am an attorney and was trying to give them a chance to do the right thing). Finally, after much argument and stress, talks shifted from arguments to trying to resolve. They even sent a proposed resolution, in a proposed contract.
The more I thought about how they handled this situation, the angrier I grew, and grew more concerned about what kind of job had been done ( or not done) on my family home. I decided to have an independent HAAG Certified Roof Inspector evaluate the work that had been done, on the chance that I was being too critical and that this was at least acceptable workmanship. However, the inspector not only confirmed what I could see, and what my crew had told me, but also brought new issues to light including many items not being up to code. Items like the area around the chimney were done in a subpar not to code manner. All the material that was used such as felt and plywood was the cheapest and least durable items that could be used. Don't expect OSB or even a high-quality plywood, this is bottom of the barrel material that was used. For this reason and now having a complete lack of trust on anything this company says or does, I will not have them back at my property and have elected to have another company do the work that Best Choice should have done right in the first place. Will be warning all my friends and family to NOT let this company anywhere near your roof.
