Tampa Florida office. Worst experience ever. Can not get solid answers as to what work was done. Saleman provided false information at the beginning of the process. Promised no out of pocket except deductible now invoicing me for wood after saying they would eat all extra cost. Was promised a bathroom remodel. Someone came in did a half ass job. My floor is uneven and my shower pan is already pulling away from the way. It has only been a couple of months. They will not give me a break down on the work done in my bathroom or come out and check it.

Best Choice Roofing engaged in aggressive sales tactics and provided false information about the type and color of shingle installed after Hurricane Milton. This is a company run by dishonest people who prey on the elderly (Wayne Holloway and Andrew Weinberg/Brightstar Capital Partners).

I attempted to file a complaint about the repair on 6 different occasions, and to date I have received zero response.

If you hire Best Choice Roofing, expect poor communication and a complete lack of interest in addressping post-installation issues.

So here is an update on how badly things have turned with this company... We just received a letter in the mail from a company( Evelset) that allows best choice roofing to put a lien on our home. When the roof was complete, we paid most of the bill and now owe a little over $1000. Best choice roofing said they would contact us in 30 days and or send us the final bill, but instead of doing that, they went right for a lien on our home. No communication from this company after they threaten to put a lien on our home unless we came up with the total amount at once, which we actually would have had, but they kept adding more things to the list of what we were now going to be paying for... Best choice roofing is the most disreputable and dishonorable company I have ever had to deal with and I can't imagine anyone doing business with this company . Please beware of their tactics to make as much money on you as they can and their nasty threats if you don't have all the money they want right then and there. No customer service, no mature conversations, just threats. They refuse to call and or work with any of their customers. There is a page where people have been complaining about this company and how they are treating their customers.. If you think they are giving you a good deal, think again. They start off by telling you it is going to cost this amount, then add more stuff as they go so you are no longer able to even pay the total cost for the roof. Which brings them right to threats and liens .. It is a nightmare! Do not use this company!

A representative from this company came to my door & offered to look at my roof. He told me I had storm damage & they would help me put in a claim. He assured me that it would not negatively impact my insurance to put in the claim. When it was time to put in the claim they sent a different guy who was brand new & had no idea what he was doing. He missed the appointment with the adjuster. He was late and unprepared for the appointment with the inspector. The claim was denied because the representative from Best choice roofing did not prove to them that it was storm damage at the inspection. And then the insurance company sent me a letter giving me less than 60 days to replace my roof. I never heard from Best choice roofing after the insurance company told them the claim was denied.

So, to update on my ""raving review"" on BCR. Since my review I had the inspection; the inspector stated that the (so-called) clean up wasn't very good and to this day (March 2020) I am STILL picking up nails and pieces of roofing out of my yard every time in storms or the wind blows. Before my surgery I went up on my roof a little way (scared of heights ya know) and the shingles just don't look right - they are not supposed to life up - AT ALL! SMH. And what makes me feel worse is my neighbors hired them based on my recommendations, their roof went up in one day! There is NO WAY that roof is right, it was as bad as mine. The sub-contractors BCR hired had to leave large bundles of roofing on to hold the tiles down until they ""set"". They told my neighbor that that is normal - that is bull$h1t! Anyway, back to my issues, so, Ben had to come back and re-install screen on the pipe-fittings to the bathrooms/showers, so no snakes can make it into the house; this was discussed BEFORE the contract was entered into. I have damage to my stucco from the guys taking off my rain gutters - not repaired. To make matters worse, AFTER the work was finished and the contract paid they asked my insurance company for more money!!!! For work and things they did not do. They called and called and called some more for this money. I check and I do not have to pay it, but they want to play games and send an attorney after me. Additionally, I have a $1,000 deductible I didn't realize I had to pay and when I had a mild panic attack Ben came and that is when he stated he would request an additional $1200 or so - NOT over $3,000 from my insurance company. Now, any normal person would think wow he is helping me with the deductible yeah!!!! Guess what people, do NOT fall for it because A) he is a liar; and B) it is illegal. Yep, they can not ""bill"" your insurance company for your deductible or take money off the price to help. Also, the price gouging is insane!!! The going price for a roof in Florida is $8,000 to $10,000. Now that is for a gabled roof using the architectural shingles. Guess what they try to charge! Just Guess - $25,000!!!! what the heck is the roof made of - gold? I have plain, architectural shingles, my rood isn't a ""steep pitch"" which is another thing he claimed - go to where it snows, THOSE are steep pitched roofs.
FINALLY, I get the distinct feeling of sexism from Ben at least - but he represents BCR so it reflects on them. I curse a little and going back and forth with him via text and emails, I finally had had enough and stated, ""Godamn it Ben!"" Apparently he thinks he has the right to tell me how to speak - except I had said worse in person to him - as in the ""F"" word (yes, not very lady-like I know). But there is my updated review. Now off to reply to their attorney and find my own who has enough backbone to want to work a little - except I am a paralegal and have done most of the research myself - SMH. What happened to people who actually wanted to fight for the underdog?

We can't even get them to call us back... The whole process was a mess. Once they took our money, they just half way did the job.
