I contracted with Best Choice roofing to replace the roof on my home after hurricane Helene. At first everything went well, i thought the price was reasonable and the timeframe for the repair was good. Be warned, however, BCR will contract with a company the uses migrant labor. We were not able to communicate with the work crew, as none of them spoke English, and there were no BCR employees on site. After the work was completed, there were noticeable issues with the finished product. There is an area of the roof that has a sag, one of the gutter guards was bent, one corner of the fascia was bent up and causing the shingles to not sit correctly and there were dozens of areas on the fascia where the coating was peeled back exposing the underlying metal. Upon final inspection I paid in full, and the company representative told me someone would be out the next day to fix the issues. But no one showed up. I had to repeatedly call to get someone to come out and fix the issues. Finally, someone from the contractor came out, repaired the gutter guard and left. I received a phone call this morning from the company saying that the fascia was already damaged, and they weren't going to repair it. So now I'm out 13k, have a sag in my roof and need to fix my fascia myself. If you are going to go with this company make sure you take pictures of everything before hand or you may end up fixing their mistakes yourself. ONE STAR, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I will have to give this a three star. They did an excellent job on the roof itself. However, there was a tarp supposed to be put on my roof in between the almost two months of waiting for the insurance check to get to them. But when mentioned, they said that the conversation never happened. Then when we made an appointment. The day before the appointment they called to say that they had to reschedule to the following day. Then while the appointments going on, their contractors decided to use my yard as their bathroom several times. I had to call the company and ask them if this was typical for their contractors to be using the restroom in my yard. Where he got silence and then replied, it can be normal. I told him that I have children and it is disgusting and I do not even believe that it is legal to use the restroom at somebody private yard without permission and that It needed to stop immediately. I explained that they were more than welcome to use my restroom if they needed to. I literally have a sign on my porch that reads no peeing off the porch.
They pushed the vent for my hot water heater down and sideways so that it was no longer attached to the water heater to where it was supposed to be. I unfortunately didn't notice it for almost 24 hours after the roof was done. I immediately contacted them and let them know. I cut the hot water heater off and I open the windows to vent the house. They said that they would be out the following day to fix it. They did show up and they did fix it. I was a little irritated that it was like that in the first place though. And that we had to cut off the hot water completely and vent the house. Especially since I have seven children ages 9-18. The adult child of which who is also nearly 7 months pregnant. I asked them wouldn't it be smarter to have somebody down here while you have somebody on the roof since you had six people here. And he stated well, not everybody's always home, and I stated well I was.
