The weather was terrible on the day of appointment and the owner Allen still managed to come over and check our roof. He pointed out our problem immediately and letting me know that their procedure doesn't fit my roof instead of trying to take the job no matter what. I definitely will recommend this company to others in future.

I had a 33 year old wood shingle roof with multiple leaks that could not endure another rainy season. I got about 4-5 estimates before I called Benefit Roofing whose owner, Alan, came out a few days later. He impressed me immediately as he saw details that none of the other roofers noticed. He pointed out that we had a layer of asphalt roof under the wood shakes, which I wasn't aware of. He also saw that there was a seam where the addition met the existing part of the house which wasn't level and would require some adjustments. These were important details that no one else saw and would affect the cost as well as the duration of the job. Alan was the only roofer who inspired my confidence based on his great reviews, attention to detail and responsiveness. His prices were fair and there were no surprises as he's very thorough.

Our job was complicated as we have an unusual, pitched roof with lots of nooks and crannies. We also were replacing our rooftop air conditioner at the same time as the re-roof. The A/C required a custom built platform that took a few months to manufacture. This required a great amount of patience as there were numerous delays. Alan was in communication with the A/C company during this time to coordinate with them and kept me updated. Finally, after signing the contract in late July, our job commenced in early October. I couldn't be happier with the results, it looks amazing! I went with Certainteed Presidential TL Solaris which is the closest thing I could find to wood shake in my price range. Alan's team is top notch and their work is impeccable. They also replaced my old worn out rain gutters that were undersized and falling apart. Alan and his crew did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations. It was a pleasure working with him and his team.

Benefit Roofing was a great find for me! Alan was very thorough explaining all the details about my roof, and what needed to be done. He patiently answered all my questions, and worked to get me the best price on all the materials I really needed to do the job right. He is a stickler for detail, and even had his guys come back out to make little upgrades after his own inspection (which he did twice!).
Alan is very honest, and won't sell you something you don't need. His prices are competitive with at least three other companies I contacted, and his team got the job done in half the time he estimated (the roofers are the fastest in the West!).
Everyone on his team were kind and diligent about their work, and, from demo to clean-up, put forth every effort to make us happy. I strongly recommend them for your next roof!

Alan was super honest and actually recommended 2 helpful things to try with my roof--that he couldn't even benefit from. Then told me ""no charge"" for an inspection. If I ultimately need to replace my roof I will definitely call Benefit Roofing. Impressive!

I requested a quote around August and Alan was quick to schedule an appointment with me. They were quick to respond and seemed very nice and professional based on our phone conversations. Alan came to my house, went up to take a look at the roof, informed me of everything they would do, and I received a quote the very next day.

Alan was quick to respond to any questions and concerns and he always informed me of what his team was about to do and when they would do it. He always kept me in the loop and there was no funny business.

They always arrived on time when they said they would and cleaned up very well. We had a broom that went missing and Alan had no problem reimbursing me for that without any hassle or issues, which I really appreciated. Honesty and integrity is very important; these qualities can be quite rare nowadays and this interaction left a very good impression on me.

We had a great experience working with Alan and his crew. Our home had an older roof with 2 layers of existing shingles. We had a couple of leaks so we decided to complete this project before the rainy season. Our Yelp search began - we contacted 3 reputable roofers to bid on the job. We were not looking for the lowest bid - it was very important for us to hire someone that knows his trade and pays attention to the smallest details in our roof, along with good communication, professionalism and trust. Alan, the company owner had all the above, so we hired him for the job. It took them about 6 days to complete the project, and the new roof looks great. I already recommended them to my neighbor. If you are looking for a professional, reliable and organized company to work with, they should be the first one to call.

I interviewed several roofing companies, before selecting Benefit, and I have to say they were very honest about the work that needed to be done and gave a fair cost estimate. They were very communicative. The team arrived on time and completed the work in the timeframe they said they would. The roof looks fantastic! They even went as far as to clean up after the job was done by using a pressure washer on the driveway and taking a magnet to collect all stray nails in the yard. Very, very good work.

They gave us a free consultation/inspection, and found nothing major wrong, they just mentioned that we needed to do some maintenance. Unfortunately, they also said they don't do maintenance on flat roofs, but could call around and see if they could refer me to someone who does.

They responded to me very promptly for scheduling, which was great.
They were a little bit late, but called ahead of time to let me know, so their communication is good too.
