We call Benchmark Roofing for some new seamless gutters. They called us back the same day and within the week Jonathan called us and said they had a cancellation and they would be by tomorrow. We were amazed with the quality of the gutters. The two men that put them up were so friendly and did a fantastic job! They cleaned up after they had finished. We are so happy with Benchmark's service and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much.

Updated review: jonathan reached out to me and apologized. We decided to move forward with them as we still wanted to keep our money local. They were booked out until January, but that wasn't an issue. Jonathan called the night before the appointment and confirmed the time. His guys were prompt and ready to go the following morning. They introduced themselves and got started. They worked diligently for two days and completed the job quickly. My only issues which jonathan and team addressed were 1) there was a bit of mud tracking that they did not clean up until I brought it up 2) initially they asked me where I wanted the downspouts, I told them that they were the experts so I trusted their expertise and guidance. However they decided to place a downspout between two front windows in the front of the house -- it is not only an eyesore, but still continued to pool water right in front of the house (which is something. We wanted to avoid). There was one there previously so I figured the guys were like, let's just stick one back there again). I raised that concern of water pooling due to that spout, unfortunately they couldn't move it once it was set, but extended the spout a few feet out to avoid damaging the foundation with the continued pooling. My concerns were addressed to the best of their ability and responded to very quickly. Aside from the previous attempts at communication, we are very happy. The gutters look amazing and have definitely upgraded our home!



I haven't had their service... but it's been hard to get an answer from their team. They arrived on time for an estimate, I received it via email a couple days later. I had a few follow up questions in regards to said estimate and did not receive timely responses or responses at all.

Very discouraging-- we wanted to keep our money local.

Benchmark Roofing wasted a lot of my time. My roof was leaking in several places, so I called them up for an assessment. They missed two estimate appointments, and when I asked why I was told that the job was ""too small."" Don't waste your time on these people unless you have an industrial-sized job, I guess. I went with a different roofer and it ended up being a large $6,000 job. Apparently $6,000 isn't worth showing up for. As Julia Roberts would say, ""you work on commission right? big mistake! huge!""

Based on 5 star reviews I called BenchMark for an estimate to fix my vandalized roof on a 2 story house in Merced. I texted them the address and all they said was 'I got your message thank you'.

I guess job is too small. They could have been upfront and state we are too small.

Wasting our time is not an option for us. We called Drummond Roofing from Modesto
which is way farther than Atwater. Drummond gave us an estimate right over the phone!

Needless to say we are not going to shop around wasting more time.
We will hire
Drummond right away to replace our half a dozen broken / missing tiles for a very
reasonable price.

Calvin is super nice, professional and authentic. Had a very tricky roof issue where the transition from valley to flat roof was not built correctly. 3 other roofers have tried to fix the issue however the leak still remained. Calvin provided the best solution so far with additional cutter system to direct water away from the flat roof area. Just one tiny leak remaining for him to fix which I am confident if anyone can do it, it will be Benchmark.

What a fantastic business to deal with. They replaced our old shake roof, which was hard to see go, but the new roof they installed looks even better.

Jonathan, Calvin, and their employees were a pleasure to deal with. They kindly added a skylight and assisted in changing out our old chimney pipe and adding
more insulation while the roof was open. They also replaced our old vents and added some new ones. And...they even painted the new vents to match the roof.
They went above and beyond in customer service.

These are kind, honest and pleasant people to do business with. We highly recommend them.

I had a small project in Los Banos (about 45 minutes from Benchmark's home office) and even though the roof repair wasn't a big project, Calvin and his team made me feel like I was his only customer. Customer Service is very important to me and it seems to be a dying art in this State. I'd give you 10 stars if I could. Prompt, reasonable, and great workmanship!

I first called Benchmark in 2008 and was given quotes as well as the option of having $500 worth of repairs done with a 2-year guarantee. It held for four years!

This week Benchmark replaced my roof and it was done within the promised timeline (2300 sq' home in 3 days), for the promised amount, with no surprises. I consider Benchmark to be one of the most honest, trustworthy, and reliable roofing companies in Merced/Atwater area. And man does the house look great! I highly recommend them.
