I first talked to Trent, a salesman that came to the house. He brought all his samples and described the qualities of each one. He was very patient. I decided on the Timber Tek Sea Salt Gray. I had to book this way back in February of 2022. Back then, they had 36 decks to build before mine was tackled. They told me maybe June, maybe August, hard to tell that far away. However, my deck was built in the middle of June. I had to leave for a week as my sister passed away in SC. While I was gone, the crew took all my furniture off the existing deck, lowered it to the ground level, and completed the deck just how I expected. It's funny, they arranged the furniture in the shade, and it looked like they had afternoon tea down there. Good for them. When I returned from South Carolina, the beautiful deck was all done, and my furniture back up there to the second level. It is exactly what I wanted. Thank you Daniel and your excellent crew for handling everything while I was gone. Also for the new kick plate under the door. Great job!!

I had new siding put on my house about 2 years ago. I thought they had done a good job but the siding job was written up as deficient on an inspection report while trying to sell the house. I reached out to them on several occasions with no response to correct the deficiencies. I had also contacted them about 4 months prior to do some roofing repairs and was told the job was too small for them to consider. So much for repeat customers. I will NEVER use them again and will let as many people I know how bad this company as to work quality and customer service.

We loved Ben Hill! Everything from start to finish was awesome and couldn't ask for better service . Paige the receptionist helped us immediately when we walked in and answered all of our questions. Our project manager was Dwayne and he was good as well . We would definitely recommend them!

Was really disappointed with the service. Not really sure how they stay in business. Even the people in their office didn't know what was going on. Would not recommend them as a contractor. They price one thing and tell you something else.Sorry Ben Hill won't be telling people to call you...

Only a 2 year warranty on their workmanship. My roof was installed in 2012. this week I found a large leak in my roof in my master bedroom, and some shingles missing from another part of my roof. Not to mention, the gutters are coming away from the house. When I called about the issues, I was told NOT UNDER WARRANTY. $10,000 roof, 6 years old.
I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS COMPANY! I wish I had read the reviews before I did.

Ben Hill Renovations did an amazing job on our new roof. They showed up on time, got the job done as planned, and left our home and driveway cleaner than when they arrived. We were very impressed and our house looks great! I would highly recommend this company for your next home renovation project.

Got them to do an estimate on our roof for a full roof replacement. He tried to sell me shingles that we did want . Tried to get me to get two different types of shingles on my roof. Who in the world would want two types of shingles on their roof . Just tried to keep adding things that I didn't need or want. When it finally came to the price they where $3,000.00 more than everyone else we had come look at our roof. Would never go with them. Seems to me they are only out to rip you off .

I scheduled an appointment and meet with the owner. Told him about my needs and he stated he would return with a quote the following week. The appointment time came and went with no call to reschedule. Don't like to waste my time when I am trying to get things done. Responsiveness goes a long way in projecting professionalism when conducting business. Maybe others have had a different experience, this was mine.

I contacted them about damage to a portion of the fascia of my roof. On the phone they were friendly and professional. They came out a few days later and gave us an estimate. I thought the quote was reasonable but decided to get other offers. After a good deal of time, I called back as clearly they had the best price. Other companies never bothered to come out or asked that I take a phone on my phone and text it to them. Another company wanted to replace the entire fascia although only 1/3 was damaged. I called back. Their estimate had increased but they honored the original. They came out a few days later and did the work. They left a box of nails and some debris in the yard but that was not big deal. When I initially saw the work I was elated. But when I got dark, I could see light creeping in between the gutter and wall. this is the same issue that created the original damage. I also noticed that the new portion did not fit perfectly against the older part. In fact, there was a slight bend as though it was manually pushed it. This is where the problems began. I called to complain. they assured me a manager would come out and look it over and I would not owe until he walked me through what they did and I was satisfied. I week or so passed and when I called to follow-up I was given different names to speak with and had trouble getting a returned call. Later I started getting bills and threats to turn me over to a collection agency. I finally got a call from a manager who claimed to be the one who did the work. he admitted pushing the old work in against the new work. He never admitted to my complain that the new portion was cut about 1/2 inch short. That is why it did not fit. I was not satisfied but we assured me that it was free from further rain damage. I hope is right. I agreed to pay but won't use or recommend them again. Said because several of my neighbors have since had the same problem with their roofs. Hopefully, when it's time to sell it wont be an issue.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with Ben Hill. The only good thing I have to say is that they were all very nice. However, the quality of the work is pretty bad. I told them I did not want a job that 'was good enough' - I wanted a good job! When I mentioned all the stress this job caused me, all the trouble it caused me, the extended length of time, and unprofessional quality they gave me $500 off - I think it should have been more.

The Hardie Plank seams were bad from the beginning - I told the Project Manager about it and he assured me it would be taken care of by the caulking. The caulking the painters did was horrible! They put thick beads of caulk on the seams which welled up and looked awful. We had them remove all the caulk off the Hardie Plank and just leave it between the seams - so now we have seams that are uneven and look bad. They tried to tell me that it was because of the framing but I'm telling you the seams are just bad. They told me they were up to 'standard' but they look awful.

I had to pretty much 'babysit' the crews the entire time - which was suppose to be 2.5 weeks but turned in to 4 months! I can't imagine what might not have been caught had I not been here the whole time watching things. Because of the lengthy time I have ruts in my yard where there were no gutters and dead grass from supplies being on my yard for so long.

The house had to be repainted 4-5 times. I paid extra to upgrade the paint to Emerald by Sherwin Williams. Apparently, it is a premium paint that needs to be put on a little differently. The painters finally downgraded the paint to Super Paint and it seems to be ok but ,surely, they should have been able to figure out how to correctly apply the Emerald line of paints. The painters used white caulking around my brown basement door and on my brown-toned bricks! The building crew had to go over it in brown caulk and I can still see the white caulk in some places.

I had all my window frames wrapped to protect them but when the building crew was putting in the bottom piece one the window they marred up all the wrapped window sills. They put new pieces on top of the marred up ones but didn't attached them with anything but a small amount of caulk - so the bottoms and sides are just loose.

I had to have one of the building crew stop caulking because it was so bad. Rather than come through the house to work on the window replacement, one member climbed through a window and in the process broke a bookshelf. They also were careless and put a hole in the screen on my storm door and cut 2 window screens. Both the building crew and painting crew were careless with my gutters and in the process 2 pieces ended up missing - I have gutter guards and pieces wound up everywhere. The painters painted the gutters and downspouts and left them in the grass to get dirty and now I have dirty gutters.

I have pieces not attached to my doors. I had to make them reset one door because it was so hard to open - it's a little better but still hard.

They left off a piece of wood allowing light, bugs, and whatever to be able to get into the basement - it was supposed to be caulked but wasn't.

When the job was done there were still things that weren't completed - I was told all the windows would be cleaned when the job was done - they weren't. Other similar things weren't done either.

WHY DID I HAVE TO OVERSEE SO MUCH OF THIS PROJECT? WHY WERE THINGS DONE SO CARELESSLY? WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR SUCH POOR WORK?????
