I had a new room put on in 2013. About a year later had a leak . Took several call to get them out to check. My ceiling was covered with mold. Dustin (the owner) tried to tell me it was because of the cathedral ceiling and air flow. I told him in 20 years I had never had that problem. there was a leak on the ridge where the flashing was not probably installed.
The did the repair and painted over the mold. I have had the same problem every year. Something yellow keeps running down the walls. Last year Dustin told me he was through with me. I have mold on my ceilings now....again. I have called and left a message. I have sent about 6 emails and no response from him.

I called Bear Roofing to fix a leak in my roof. I paid them $800.00 and the roof is still leaking.They refuse to return my calls. I am a senior citizen with a limited income. Now I don't have the money to pay anyone else to fix i the leak and it is damaging my home. I am worried sick. Stay away from these crooks!

They repaired a leaking flashing on a fireplace (different building) a year ago. Great Experience
We had an roof leak around the exhaust pipes in yet another building this year.
Here are out issues:
1. Had a really tough time getting the woman answering the phone to hear me..had to repeat myself numerous times. I can talk to other people on my phone and have no problem calling at the same location. Was very frustrating.

2. Took someone a few days to come out to check out the problem. Even though I told them it was leaking, it took 3-4 days to get someone to come out. It felt like there was no sense of urgency.

3. Quoted us a lot of $$ for the repair/replace of a couple boots ($750.00) and another delay of a day or two before they could come out to do the work. They also quoted $400.00 to repair a less than 12"" hole in the drywall where the leak was in a closet ceiling. The guy who gave the quote was not equipped to do the repairs. So after waiting 3-4 days, there still was no progress on getting the leak fixed.

Called another roofing company once the guy from Bear gave us the quote, they came out and repaired/replaced the boots (Took less than an hour) the next day (New Years Eve) for less than 1/2 the cost. It was repaired before Bear Roofing called to setup the appointment to do the work. We'll fix the drywall ourselves, its just a closet.

I don't know why, but we didn't get the level of service we had received in the past.

Bear roofing put a new roof on my home in August of 2011. There is now a leak in the foyer so I called them out to fix it because they have a 5 year no leak guarantee.
They gave me a run around for a few weeks before they came out to ""work"" on it.

They did not do a good job on the repairs or do the entire job that was supposed to be done.
When I tried to call them back, you cannot leave a message because their mailbox has been full for weeks and most of the time do not answer when you do call.

Tried to get a quote for three weeks. Have a 4,000 SF commercial roof. They have missed two appointments. Can you imagine trying to get these guys back if you have problems after an install. Avoid like the plague!!!

Bear Roofing has been a nightmare to deal with. We hired Bear Roofing last year to fix a minor leak. They told us that it was a roofing issue and that they could fix it. Unfortunately, we thought the leak was fixed and we paid them in full. With each heavy rain this year we have had to call them to come back to fix the same leak. What was a minor leak has now become a huge leak over the year.

The last roofing crew, Bear Roofing, sent to our house to fix the leak told me that the flashing had not properly been put back on the roof. The roofing crew was told to patch the problem, but not to fix the problem correctly.

This week I have had to called them back to come fix the leak again. They are now telling me it is not a roofing problem and they are not qualified to fix the leak. They have also told us not to call them back and to only contact them through their lawyers. The owner of the company has never come on site to inspect the situation.

We tried to be fair and ask for 75% of our money back, so we can call a reliable roofing company and pay them to fix the problem. The owner of the company will not talk with us about resolving the situation. We are only aloud to speak with the very rude receptionist.

This has become a nightmare! Please consider this experience before you hire Bear Roofing.

This is a HORRIBLE company. To be avoided at ALL COSTS. They did a half-assed job to begin with (full roof) that included failing to apply shingles to areas not visible from the street (i.e., front porch overhang), claiming they ""didn't know how"" to apply shingles to an area that had existing shingles on it -- AND was specified in the contract -- putting damaged shingles in areas that were visible from inside, removing old flashing and not replacing it (leaving nail holes and exposed wood)... they applied new metal flashing in areas but apparently did not know you have to PRIME metal before you can spray paint. They also caused major damage to my property. It took MULTIPLE phone calls and trips to get them to come back out to repair the damage caused by their shoddy workmanship and product failure due to misuse. In one instance I was awakened early in the morning to the sound of a circular saw cutting into the side of my historic one-of-a-kind home. They NEVER called before coming or came when they were supposed to. Every time they did come they left something behind (extension cords, hammers). It has taken me three years and MULTIPLE unreturned phone calls and emails and time off work to get them to correct the damage they caused. It still is not done. This last time I made an appointment for 3:30. I did not get a confirmation call, so I called the person to confirm. He said he had an appointment at 4 and needed to make it at 3 instead. He said he would call me at 1pm the next day to confirm. I get NO CALL. I finally get a call at 2:30 and the guy tells me he went to my house THAT MORNING and that there is nothing wrong. He said ""after 3 years you didn't notice"" - I said ""NO - it's been 3 years of unreturned phone calls and emails and runaround from you people -- now this."" I can't believe how this company (fails to) do business. The communication is worse than horrible -- it's evil. They will drive you crazy and cost you untold hours of frustration and dollars in terms of time lost and property damage that you will never get back. Whatever you do, DO NOT do business with this company. As far as I'm concerned the way they treat people goes beyond incompetence. It is criminal.

We called Bear Roofing because my sister had a good experience with a simple leak fix and we needed the same repair. We set up an appointment for a Wednesday afternoon and no one showed up. I called and rescheduled for the following day, was told I didn't need to be home for the repair man to do what he needed to do. Again, no one showed up. Called several more times and was promised someone would come out before the weekend. No one ever came and they never called to say they weren't coming and never received an apology. Terrible customer service. Needless to say we called another company who came promptly and repaired our simple roof leak.

I had a small leak in my roof and was quoted a price to fix from Bear Roofing for around $500. When the technician arrived, he saw that it was a very small and simple fix. It took him less than ten minutes to fix my problem. That was two year ago and my roof hasn't leaked since. To this day they have not sent me a bill. Bear Roofing is a huge Blessing and I will never use any other company.
