BCB Homes was founded by Joe Smallwood with experience in commercial construction. He recognized the demand for a premium residential contractor in the local community and has built what is now known as BCB Homes.

BCB Homes, Inc. was established by Joe in 1993 as the head. Since then, Joe has guided the company through substantial growth, positioning BCB Homes, Inc. among the premier contractors in Southwest Florida. Joe became the President and CEO of BCB Homes, Inc. in 2007.

Joe is a Naples local, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida. Upon finishing his studies, Joe returned to Naples where he spent six years at a commercial construction company and was promoted to ownership of that company before founding BCB Homes, Inc..
