I had 4 different roofing companies come out and look at my roo to give me an estimate. Two of the companies didn't even get back to me with a bid!!! One company came back with an extremely high bid and said I needed all these extras to be up to code. Mike with Bay Roofing came in with a reasonable bid. Straight forward, honest!!! Many positive comments about his work from friends & neighbors. Finished roof in 4 days. Total clean up. Extremely happy with the results!!!

I knew I needed a new roof when I bought the place in '07 but patched it every fall prior to the rainy season. Several years back I noticed several holes in the roof and feared my roof was breaking apart! Of all the roofing companies that came out to look, only Mike Haynes of Bay Roofing said ""Yeah, your roof is old and you're overdue for replacement, but your roof IS NOT falling apart. Just trim those trees and the animals won't be able to climb up and try to dig into your attic!"" Talk about an honest straight-shooter!

Well, I did have another company come out and replace some shingles...I bought the shingles and the guy even taught me how to replace them. Then I patched and puttied for several more winters until I got fed up with it and ready to re-roof. My experience with Mike never left my mind.

I got a quote from another local roofing company for around $11k. Mike had already been referred to me by a friend/associate and that confident referral, Mike's VERY competitive price (read: a lot less expensive) and my previous experience with him sealed the deal.

As busy as all roofers are, I knew that Mike and his guys wouldn't be able to do the job for 4-6 weeks. I tell Mike I'm ready to schedule with him. No sooner than a couple days later I get a call, ""I got a cancellation, we can do your roof next week.""

Three days and they're done. Day one: Tear off the old roof. And it was a short day. Day two: install the sheathing. Day three: Shingle the roof. I know Mike can do this work in his sleep, but I'm pretty sure he didn't. ;-) I'll say one thing though, they do their work like a choreographed dance. Really elegant.

They were quick, clean and efficient. Mike is competent, professional and mainly, EXPERIENCED! He's really easy-going and a pleasure to work with. His workers are great too.

I can't say enough about Mike and Bay Roofing...SO I WON'T! ;-)

My roof is really awesome. Oh, they installed some vents to ventilate my attic and replaced/upgraded my existing heater and kitchen fan vents. Great job, Mike and crew!

mike is a alameda guy with a great long standing reputation. proud of his work and his men. always cleans up , excellent, professional.
not the cheapest, not the highest price.
has done work on all of my 6 buildings in the past 20 years. i have always recommended him to friends and never heard one bad report.
