I originally hired Tom Raz of Bay Home Builders to remove mold under my house. His workers did a good job. Tom then encouraged me to replace the roof. I agreed to a set price with absolutely no additional costs. I paid several payments to him over the period of construction When the final payment came due he said I owed an extra $1000 for the permit.! This was never mentioned in our agreement. He left the roof project unfinished. The deck lattice overhead was removed from the supports and left.hanging A good strong wind would have torn it off A large 10 Foot adjustable ladder was left on my property. Several attempts to him to finish the job and remove the ladder went unanswered. I had to hire another contractor to come finish my deck overhead roof.

Tom and his crew did a great job on our roof and gutter repair. We received a quick response and assessment while other companies in the area had a several month wait time. Furthermore, Tom clearly explained what the issue and explained how he would approach making the fix. We got a detailed quote from Tom such that we knew exactly what was in scope for the job. Three months ago, I started looking for a contractor to remold my 1980's home. After interviewing 7 or 8 contractors, I decided having Tom from Bay Home Builders to do the projects. I never feel regret. Tom and his team did a fantastic job to give my home new paint, new floors, a new kitchen, new closets, new powder room, and new lighting on first floor. I have a beautiful new home now! I purchased kitchen cabinets from ikea. Although the cabinets are well designed but they require complete assembly, installation, and additional cut to fit which is challenging for many contractors. Tom's team did excellent job and the outcome is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I have to live in the home during the construction. Tom carefully arranged the projects so that we could stay clean and comfortable. Tom and the team were also very patient to accept changes during construction. They even did a lot of additional work without charges such as installed new sliding doors for 3 closets, secure old cabinets in my garage, installing vanity in powder room, installing blinds and curtain rods, fix the front door seal and many more. Thank you Bay Home Builders! I definitely recommend this team for home remodeling.

Tom Raz and the contractors we met from Bay Home Builders are a pleasure to work with. A neighboring tree collapsed into our house and damaged the roof extensively. The damage was sizable, and the overall experience was distressing. However, working with Tom made the whole process manageable and he helped streamline the entire project. Tom was incredibly knowledgeable and quickly coordinated the repairs, eager to get things done right. The quality of work was excellent and worth far beyond what we received from our insurance company to repair the damage.

We found Bay Home Builders on Yelp with a few searches. Tom came to our house on time and gave us an honest estimate. We did flooring, painting, changing all doors and several minor projects. Tom was very understanding and helpful throughout the process. We had zero experiences with home remodeling and Tom was kind enough to accommodate our changing requests. They also did a great job of cleaning up everything. Our whole project finished within a little over one month, which was a bit longer than expected but still quick.

All in all, I would recommend Bay Home Builders to anyone who wants to remodel their home. :-)

My 368 sq. ft. front deck was improperly constructed in 1981 with non-pressure-treated wood and lacking in sixteen-inch-spaced floor joists, and with inadequate concrete bases to protect the support posts. A partial reconstruction was performed on a rotting section in 2005. By 2018, the original portion was rotting, rocking, and rolling in several places. Bay Home Builders demolished the entire deck in March 2018 and completed the new deck on 10 April 2018, using red-tinted pressure-treated Douglas fir with redwood railings. The reconstruction was performed to excellent standards, with new copper water piping to replace the old PVC, and complete with protective concrete post support bases. The finished job is a fine example of exacting measurements and expert workmanship. Total demolition and reconstruction came to $22,000. The beauty of the finished work product will motivate me to waterproof it every year. The Bay Home Builders work crew were diligent and professional at all times.

First I want to say that the workers were very kind and helpful people. I had got my kitchen remodeled and the end result was absolutely amazing. You can clearly see they put attention to every detail, and I couldn't ask for a better company! I highly recommend them!!
