I called Bay City Roofing for an estimate yesterday and Ruben returned my call very promptly, within 30 minutes. I scheduled a next day appointment for today and Ruben stopped by exactly when we said he would. I was expecting him to tell me a needed a new roof as I recently discovered a ceiling leak in an upstairs bathroom.

After Ruben checked the roof out he took several photos of a spot with missing flashing in the area almost directly above the ceiling leak. Instead of trying to push a new roof agenda, Ruben offered to repair it right away (today while he's here). Amazing! And the quote was super reasonable. I was so pleasantly surprised that I am making my 1st YELP review as a result. Thank you Ruben and keep up the great work. I couidn't recommend you any higher!

Ruben is an all-around class act.

Rain had found its way in between broken and misaligned tiles, seeping through layers of tattered felt underlayment into a bedroom wall. His was the last of the four roofing companies that came out to inspect the damage ... and the best by far.

Why?

*Ruben was the only one who actually climbed onto the roof to assess not only the two obvious trouble spots but all the tiles. While other estimators guestimated the cost of time and materials from their perch on a ladder, he walked around lifting tiles here and there to get a close-up look. As a result, he also found debris that was obstructing the water flow and tiles that had become dislodged -- potential problems that the competition didn't identify.

*He submitted a very detailed and complete estimate that same day.

*He returned within 48 hours of the initial inspection to do the repairs. Working alongside his employee, Ruben fixed not only the two primary problems but all the tiles needing attention in just four hours -- a stark contrast from one company that figured the job would take two men three full days to complete.

*His invoice was far less than the other bids, one of which topped $9,300. What's more, Ruben cleaned the rain gutters for no extra charge AND threw in a gallon of paint that he left with us after taking the time to match the color with that of the rafters.

*Throughout the process, he was happy to offer detailed explanations of his findings and shared multiple photos that he'd taken before, during, and after the job.

I found Ruben to be honest and efficient with his assessment and repairs. Plus, he saved me $500 because the realtor's roof inspector found a list of things wrong and said they'd fix it all for $950. I looked at the list and thought, that's ridiculous. There's very little there of substance.

I found Bay City Roofing and sent Ruben the list of the inspector's findings. Ruben went and looked it all over and said it's nothing with nothing. Easy repairs, two hours. His bill was reasonable at $450. He sent me photos of everything he replaced/repaired.

I'd definitely use him again. I recommended him to my realtor for when she needs roofing or repairs.

Best roofing company in the area. Competitive quote and excellent workmanship - Ruben, the owner, showed up to do the measurements and give us recommendations. He didn't try to oversell us anything. He suggested a few finishes (shingle color/brand) and told us where to find them on actual homes. The process was smooth from start to finish, and we were actually not even home for the demo and instal of new roof. Unlike other companies - Ruben obtained all the permits and we were not charged extra for them. Ruben installed new fan and all ridge line vents! Everything turned out beautifully!

We had a small leak in our garage that showed up during the last storm. I've been trying to get a roofer out for weeks. Lots of people said 'I'll call you' but never did.
Ruben from Bay City came out and got up on the roof, made an inspection and figured out it was just some sloppy roofing around the chimney. He gave me a very reasonable quote and fixed it on the spot.
He shared everything he was doing, showed me pictures and even gave me some recommendations for future items that don't need work now but that I should pay attention to on the roof.
What a Ruben didn't know is that my father-in-law was a roofer for 45 years and I know some of what to look for regarding leaks. Ruben didn't try to upsell me at all. He's a very honest person and I'd recommend using Bay City.

after being stood up by another company we called Rueben in the middle of the storms because of a small leak. he came out Monday and found the problem. he came back a couple days later to fix the problem

his quote was reasonable. Then once in the middle we found dry rot. he ended up with a lot of additional work

but still the cost was reasonable

i hope to not need to call him again but if i need roofing help, Rueben is the guy to call

I had 2 leaks in my roof. I phoned Ruben on a Sunday and he came out the same day. Awesome person. He made an appointment for the following Thursday (when the rain stopped) at 8:30 and showed up early ready to go! He took photos before and after the job also cleaned up after the job too.
I would highly recommend this company. His pricing was very reasonable great value. I will definitely be using him again in the future!

Ruben was great when I met him back in January. He was kind, super helpful, seemed like he knew his stuff, and took detailed notes. He said he would have the quote back to me in several days. It's now July, and still no quotes. The company has ignored my messages over the past several months. Is this company still in business? Ruben, what have I done to deserve this? Where are you, dude?

Still waiting for an estimate after inspection. It has been more than two weeks, and I was told it would take a couple of days.
