BAS Roofing treated my home as if it was their own. And treated me, a new customer, as if I was a long term friend. I am selling a little house in Brooktrails. Getting a new roof to replace my very deteriorated one was both a property protection and a sales necessity. They got me their earliest date and made sure my roof was tarped to save the house from coming rain. Then they got in and totally replaced it competently and efficiently. They found a mess (roof vent covered, leading to rot) and fixed that. Plywood prices went up (of course) and I needed more due to the after estimate damage discovered. Their increase in price was VERY fair.

To summarize, hire BAS Roofing if you want to be treated like family and have the best quality roof for a fair price.

I found water on my garage floor and of course it was raining. Called BAS and they came out as soon as they could. They were punctual and fixed the problem. They even returned to make sure the problem had been fixed. Highly recommend!!!

Our roof problems caused by BAS are not ""unfounded"" as recently claimed by BAS.

Our FIRST LEAK after BAS installed a new roof for us was when water was running down the clear redwood tongue and groove ceiling over our dining table and landing on our kitchen stove. BAS worked diligently to repair this a couple of times. By the time it was fixed the redwood ceiling had 5-inch water stains which cannot be removed with sanding. The skylight BAS claims was the root of the problem had been installed 7 years prior to the new roof and never leaked before.

Our SECOND LEAK as a result of the new roof is in our family room where water appeared, staining and buckling the redwood ceiling. Several times BAS diligently attempted to fix this by replacing sections of the new roof. This seemed to work until 2 weeks ago when water again ran down the redwood ceiling. Currently we have deployed a tarp until we can arrange to have the whole roof replaced in spring by a different roofer.

Our THIRD LEAK with our BAS roof occurred in our living room. Water stain and mold appeared on the sheetrock ceiling. BAS once again diligently arrived several times, added caulking by the chimney and said it could be because there were no ceiling vents. It was a lot of water damage for humidity to be the problem. Lo and behold it leaked again last year so this past summer we had a large area of that roof replaced by a different roofer and it has been fine since.

Our FOURTH LEAKY AREA is our carport which has many leaks. BAS diligently tested the idea that the rain gutter was the problem. BAS covered it with a strip of tar paper and some boards - but leaks still dripped on our cars and items stored in the carport. Several leaks appeared above the level of the rain gutter. Perhaps water could be forced uphill in heavy rain?? And I'm not going to elaborate on the leak in our smart meter housing and a leak around an older skylight in a room by the carport.

At no time did BAS offer to replace the whole roof. Every time BAS diligently came Brian seemed confident the leaks were fixed until we were out of warranty. At that time after we still had leaks, he wrote up an estimate to replace the carport roof with a hefty $2750 price tag attached.

Should we have demanded replacement and threated to sue? In hindsight, yes. We paid full price for a new roof and got a huge headache. We are 10 years into a 30 year roof and we will have to replace it this spring. During drought years we were OK but when we actually got rain, we discovered we had big troubles.

BAS Roofing just completed a new roof for me and I am very pleased with them and the job they did. From getting the estimate all through the process Lisa was very considerate and good to work with. They focused on getting the job done and done well. It went smoothly and the price was right in line with all the others I obtained estimates from. They cleaned up very well after and I highly recommend them. The fact that they give to the community, specifically the work they did for the Humane Society of Inland Mendocino County, speaks volumes of their caring and involvement in bettering our community.

BAS Roofing gave me a good bid and I have chosen them to do my new roof. Owners Brian and Darlene are easy to work with and very available. When my roof leaked Brian personally came over to see what he could do. They are a very community oriented family, who care about the people of our small community. I look forward to working with them on my new roof.

If you need a roof or some work done, these are the guys that are going to make sure its done right, on time and cost effective! A great crew, no messin about, just get it done.

I do some volunteer work at the Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County (HSIMC) in Redwood Valley and have met Darlene and Brian. They are extremely involved in community and very supportive of non profit organizations. B.A.S. over the years have donated a significant amount of support to our organization and if you pay attention locally you can see their footprint and influence on just about everything special in this valley.

When you look for a roofer, in addition to all of your other criteria, make sure you include how they give back!

I'm very happy that I went with BAS Roofing to reroof our 40 year old yurts out in the Anderson Valley. Brian was the low bid, he is exceptionally knowledgeable, he talked me OUT of some expensive options I asked about, and the work was well done and the clean-up exceptional.

We have an uninsulated roof and an interior that gets extremely hot. They offer a product called Low-E which is a reflective sheet under shingles. Brian did his best to not over-promise me given the specifics of our build but I wanted to get it installed because it gets unbearably hot during the summer. The product has reduced interior temperatures 15 degrees which is a game-changer for our off-grid household.

We had a great experience with BAS roofing. Brian came out and gave a free estimate. We had two other bids, those bids were MUCH higher than BAS roofing. Talking to Brian you quickly realize he's just a good guy and someone who is going to give it to you straight/no BS. My wife and I delayed the work initially because of the virus. Brian's wife was exceptional with keeping in touch with me through emails. Give BAS a call, you'll see for yourself that Brian and his crew are much better than the other roofers in the area. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND BAS roofing. BTW - the roof looks great, they cleaned up after themselves(actually was better than before the job). You'll be impressed too...

I wish I could give him a better review. He came out and submitted a bid, and we called him soon afterward and approved the bid. He never called back. We made multiple attempts to reestablish communication over the next few months (we were in no hurry), but still no word. Never answered his phone, just went to voicemail. Not even a courtesy call letting us he was no longer interested. Not sure what happened. Hope he didn't fall off a roof somewhere. Anyway, that was our experience with BAS.

Dunlap re-roofed my house 10 years ago. I had a leak this last storm and called. It was the silicone around the skylight - they fixed it free even though it wasn't the roof - and refused to take a tip! Such great service as so rare these days.

Mmmmm...two weeks later the leak returned. Called again and they came out and tore off about 25 sf of shingles and replaced those and heavily sealed around the skylight. The seal is visible from inside and looks very messy - and they charged $780! I knew I'd be paying something - but I thought it would be a few hundred. This figure wasn't even estimated at beforehand and came as a surprise. I'll find out if it worked - it's going to rain tonight/tomorrow ...
