Barton Roofing took our deposit and never even pulled a permit. We actually were referred to him by his wife-a friend of our family (after knowing that he had a prior lawsuit against him and still referred us). He doesn't respond to calls, messages, emails. Do not even give Barton Roofing the time of day!

We hired Barton Roofing on 3/1/2018 & paid $4900. Barton Roofing started work on 5/9/2018. Barton Roofing deceived us into paying $4900 on 5/18/2018 by telling us that felt work was completed, and shingles would be delivered on the roof and the roof would be completed in 2 days.

Barton Roofing failed tin tag inspection on 5/30/2018 and again on 6/25/2018. In fact, Barton Roofing did absolutely nothing to correct the deficiencies between the two inspections.

Barton roofing caused several leaks in our home. We had short circuit due to the leaks and have no electricity in our master bedroom. Also ruined carpet.

Barton roofing threw debris all around house damaging house and surrounding landscaping, left debris including nails pointing upwards in the balcony and around house.

Barton roofing did not show up at all for 3 weeks from 5/29/2018 to 6/14/2018. Barton roofing did not respond at all to phones calls, text messages, emails and registered letter sent by USPS.

Incomplete and improperly done work is damaging our home. Barton roofing has left the house exposed to weather in hurricane season.

Barton roofing has now completely abandoned the work site since 9/23/2018.

No reputable roofer wants to take over badly done and abandoned roof work. Few roofers who are willing to take the job have quoted more than twice to fix up and complete the roof than it would have cost if we had not even started the roof work.

Filing lawsuit against Barton Roofing would be expensive and require extensive time and effort. As seen below, it would end up being futile as there is little chance of collecting damages from Barton Roofing.

In the past, David Barton of Barton Roofing has taken advance payments from homeowners and then delayed work, not performed proper work, not completed work, caused leaks and caused damage to property. David Barton was ordered to pay damages of $153,549.68 in final judgement dated 3/27/2018 in the case of CHATEAU WOOD HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC. V BARTON, DAVID. David Barton was also ordered to pay $110,549.68 that included an amount that the ""Defendant, David Barton Roofing, Inc., had fraudulently obtained from Plaintiff"".

Suppliers have filed lawsuits against BARTON ROOFING, INC. AND DAVID BARTON for not paying and also obtained garnishment order.

You can see for yourself just how dishonest this business owner is.

He has scammed us, taken our money, damaged our home and abandoned work.

Two homeowners in PBC have already changed to new contractors after hiring Barton roofing. I also heard that David Barton took $20,000 advance for a $25,000 metal roof in North Palm Beach from a homeowner and disappeared.

If David Barton has this track record of not paying suppliers, fraudulently taking money from homeowners, doing poor work, causing damage to homes, and abandoning roofs after stripping off existing roofs, then why is he still licensed as a roofer in Florida?

If he has not fully paid everyone he owes, properly completed all roofs, paid for all the damages he caused and fulfilled all his contract obligations, then his license must be immediately suspended. After thorough investigation, his roofing license must be cancelled.

As long as David Barton has a valid roofing license, he can potentially scam unlimited number of homeowners. He can take as much advance as homeowners will give him. It is ironic that the only thing limiting his ability to scam people is social media and not the state. In fact, the license from the state is what is enabling him to scam people.

Allowing Barton roofing to operate roofing business is putting homeowners at risk of fraud and damage to their property.
