Ron Barrett, the owner/operator of Barrett Roofing, earned his Roofing Contractors license in 1972, even though he had been in the industry for more than 20 years.
He has helped countless homeowners and businesses on several Hawaiian islands, including Oahu, Kauai, and now operates mainly from the Big Island.
He shifted his entire business to Kauai in 1992 to actively participate in the relief efforts after Hurricane Iniki wreaked havoc on the island.
We now specialize in silicone coatings as a Qualified Applicator for Gaco, collaborating with large resorts and individual homeowners to provide exactly what they require.
A creative and diligent person, Ronald has always put in hard work.
From his high school days playing music and achieving some success alongside artists like Sonny Bono, Elvis, and the Shirelles.
He channels that same industrious spirit into the construction industry.
At this stage in his life, he advocates for his clients and strives to assist and strengthen the community.

Mary J.There were very few choices when high winds blew up one end of a section of my roof so i went with Barrett. They came out quickly and fixed it. They told me i needed to redo all the nails/screws on both the roof of my house and carport or the next high winds would blow the whole thing off. I am a senior citizen living alone so i felt like i had no choice but to trust them. They completed the job and the next day the roof began to leak (a Friday) during a rain and they refused to come out until the following week.
By the time they arrived i had damage to my roof, my lanai and the closet in my bedroom. They denied all responsibility and refused to help after many dollars were paid to them.
I looked around for help and determined they had caused a leak in my solar water heater. The solar hot water heater was repaired by the appropriate company, the one that installed it for the previous owner of my home. They confirmed that Barrett caused the problem and Barrett still denied responsibility and guess what? My lanai still leaks during heavy rains today hundreds of dollars later, but at least it's rain water not hot water from the solar water heater. So no, i don't recommend them.
