Mike and his team are amazing! They did a full roof replacement for my home in Newark, CA with the highest quality of workmanship. Mike and Rene were patient with me. They both walked me through the process to help me understand what was being done on my roof and why. The Banner team's customer service helped me feel at ease through the roofing replacement process. They really had my best interest at heart. I have no issues recommending them to others who need their roof serviced.

We needed our roof replaced on our two car detached garage and also on our flat roof on the addition at the rear of our home. We solicited a couple of bids and the first bidder, who actually replaced our home's roof a couple of years ago, was twice as much as the quote we received from Mike of Banner Roofing. Mike came across as a no nonsense kind of guy and thoroughly explained what his quote covered and completely explained the replacement process.

Mike was able to get us into his schedule in about three weeks which was great. He sent a large crew and completed everything in a couple of days including new gutters and down spouts. I inspected their work and was impressed with the quality of their workmanship and the materials they utilized.

All in all, we were very satisfied with the end result and we would have no hesitations recommending Banner Roofing.

We have a 3br/2ba house (under 1500 sf) in San Leandro. Nothing special. The layers of shingles needed to be removed and replaced, added a few vents and repair some dryrot. We don't have a problem with the work that was done (so far). Mike has good workers but Mike is a con-artist. Don't trust him. He kept adding on charges during the project. Our original contract was for $16,500. By the time he finished the job, the cost increased to almost $33,000. Unbelievable! In addition, we asked him to leave all of the unused new wood that he had just charged us extra for to finish the job and he took most of it away. He still hasn't finished painting some of the wood that was replaced due to dryrot. He was even going to charge us extra to paint a few boards under the eves. Unless you have lots of money to waste, we do NOT recommend BANNER ROOFING.

Mike came out to quote a new roof , showed up on time , had samples of roofing and good recommendations on the top of the line products available.Banners quote was right there with the other guys I talked to. When the project started (on time) the crew arrived , got to work , did a beautiful job, clean up was impressive. Banners crew looked for any, nails and debris. Thank you Mike, great job.

Mike showed up on time,explained all the options available for my roof,gave upfront pricing, did a great job protecting my garden from damage ,cleaned up and hauled away all the construction debris. I was so pleased with his employees I tipped each one 100.00 bucks.

Totally agreed with other one star ratings. Very poor service, never answer the phone when you call, and will call you back with a blocked number, which is a hint for poor service. Mike Banner tries to be very nice when he explains the quote to you (more like an exaggeration) but will become very rude to yell at customer when you challenge him. Mike was deceiving to give me a lower quote compared to other competitors, but in the middle of the work he came up with more issues and asked for more. At the end, the trash from his work blocked my gutters and caused more issues. Finally got my roof done but feel like it was a trap. Very frustrating and would never refer this company to anyone.

BEWARE ! was in San leandro Now in Alameda. Check contract carefully ! uses the term GUARANTEE vs. WARRANTY. Big Difference. Check references and go knock on doors. Check with City Permit Office. you will be surprised and really be glad you did.

Can I give a zero rating? We spent over ten grand on a new roof that leaks. Ps it never leaked before. Their work and work ethic sucks.
