Recommended Customer Reviews

Date and time was set. Baker Roofing Co. was a No show. They did not call to advise or reschedule.

They take forever to submit a proposal.
It wasn't detailed.
We also asked for a full roof. Quote.
Poor customer service.

Great guy came out to do my estimate. I really liked how he informed me of what was going on. However, I never got my estimate. It has been 1 month. I noticed many other reviews saying the same thing. Too bad this place can't get things figured out on the office end.

Baker roofing did a great job replacing dry rot on our roof and eaves. They gave a very fair estimate and once the started the repair they completed it in a timely fashion.
The roofers did a fantastic job!

Don't bother calling this company, it is a waste of time. I called this company to get an estimate on replacing my roof, the President, Troy Baker, came out and viewed and measured my roof, that was Sept. 6, 2017. Since then I have called 4 times to get the estimate. No one has returned my call, its been two weeks.

Unresponsive and overbooked. It has been over 2 weeks since they got out to my building for a ""temporary leak repair"" and were supposed to send me a proposal for a ""permanent repair"". I have received nothing from Baker while tenant reports it continues to leak in the same location. After numerous calls to their office to inform them of the continued leak and to check status on their proposal, they continue to push my job order back with no sense of urgency from their end. I am a past customer who is fair and understanding. However I would have appreciated if they would've disclosed to me just how busy they were when I first called them for service (2+ weeks ago) so that I could make other arrangements. Now I have to start the leak process over with another company. Such a waste of time!

I am a bit disappointed with the service. I called this company because, due to heavy rain, a couple of leaks occurred. This company was opened and had good reviews so I called.
Our conversation went something like this:
Me: Hi, we have two leaks at our home. Can someone come take a look and provide an estimate?
Jackie: Have we looked at this property before?
Me: No, this is the first time calling for any repair.
Jackie: We are booked and cannot have anyone come out today. Sorry. Have a good day.
Me: Wait, is there another day and time that someone is available?
Jackie: Yes, we can have someone come sometime next week.
Me: Yes, okay, that works. What days and times are available next week?
Jackie: I don't know (something about the logs or log people aren't there) so I can't tell you.
Me: okay (brief pause) okay, I guess. thank you.
Feedback:
This is first time I contact this business. The impression I got of this business is nonchalant and not interested in new customers. Wish they would have followed up with ""can I get your number and I'll have someone call you later"" or similar. Be a bit more interested and proactive.
On to the next company.

Needed to find concrete tiles to match my existing 20 year old roof. They were extremely generous in walking through their bone yard with me and helping me find some matching tiles.
When they couldn't find any more, they gladly referred me to a supplier who had more in stock. They've been around for more than 50 years and I'd do business with them again anytime!

As part of a semi-large construction company, we come to rely on the trustworthiness, professionalism, and value of our sub contractors. Baker Roofing as been a trusted member of our team for more than 10 years now, and that says as much as any flowery words can. We have always counted on them to provided quality work that gets done right the first time, this is why we have no hesitation attaching our name to their recommendation list.

This comoany must be very busy with an abundance of business.
I needed a new roof, and called this company. Nikolas came out initially in 11/14. He toldme they DO NOT do repairs on wood shake. I didn't need repairs, I wanted an estimate for a new wood shake. He said it would be awhile before they could get to the job, but he would forward me an estimate. I then received an email 'ballpark estimate for heavy wood shake would be $75k not including two flat roof sections."" Who replaces a partial roof? Never heard back from him. Mind you I didn't know I had flat sections, but certainly would replace all my roof, not just part of it.
Any rate, we didnt have any leaks; this was just normal maintenance replacement due to age. So after the rainy season we started our roof efforts again, as wanted it done before next rainy season. Did some research into luxury shingles and came up with Ownes/Corning Woodmoor thru another roofer. I educated and found Baker is the only authorized roofer for this product in this area. Called them again, spoke with Nicolas, asked him for an estimate with this specific product and to INCLUDE the flat areas, as I am not spending this kind of money to skimp.
Received an email from Nicolas at Baker, with an estimate of the Woodmoor including complete roof. He evidently realized I was upset with the laxed first estimate, so this one was specific, etc. and came in at $79k. I responded ""luxury comp is more expensive than wood shake?"" His response - ""first estmate was a rough quote."" Nicolas NEVER called to come meet with me and go over the new product, estimate, etc. in person. I had specifically asked him to recommend a color and let me know why he chose the color, etc. Have yet to have a follow up phone call or email.
At the same time I was referred to another Roofing Company for an estimate. I checked them out, spoke with prior customers, etc. Several respectable contractors recommended this company; their integrity and work ethic. I aso received an estimated IN person from the other roofing company. The gentleman brought over samples, as he was aware I was leary about not using wood shake. Had a complete estimate for the EXACT same product, brand and company as reflected in the Baker estimated. Only this estimate was for $59k. A $20k/25% difference. 25%, seriously...I could see 10%, but 25%?
I ended up getting one more, 3 is the magic number, - Baker 20 - 23k higher than the others.
I feel confident I chose the right company and saved $20k on the EXACT same product. At the very least they made me feel important and valued my business. Followed up with phone calls, and willing to clarify anything.
It is just a shame, because I am sure the owners of Baker Roofing would have liked to have a 60k - or in their case 79k job, but evidently their employees feel different.
