JR really went above and beyond to replace my leaky roof. The job ended up inheriting some permit issues because the previous owner didn't get a final sign off on some additional square footage over 30 years ago. JR helped me navigate through the mess with total professionalism and patience. Oh, and the new roof is great and he was able to build it in a way to improve the water drainage. Highly recommended!!!

During the last rain storm in LA we had an emergency and the ceiling in our living room started leaking. Junior (owner of B&G) was available immediately and made me feel like my house and family were priority. Even though I am sure he was very busy. He took the time to talk to me and come out to my house more than once. All of which really helped to put my mind at ease.
Junior came highly recommended to me and has also done the roof of a relatives house quite a few years back and they have had no problems at all. Junior always returned my text and calls and it was very easy to do business with him. Junior's team came out and did the work in one day. They repaired the roof and so far we are happy.
We only had one issue with the color of the tiles that were used, but Junior sent his team back out to our house and they fixed the problem. It is such a relief to do business with people that are reliable and trustworthy.

This review is both positive and negative. When I called B&G Roofing to come give an estimate to install a new roof, Junior Guy was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. His bid came in at my budget so I hired him after I received 3 other contractor bids. He did a great job and kept to the budget and schedule he promised. A few months later after our first rain, my patio roof started leaking which it had never leaked before. Junior came out and looked and said it must have been loose granules from the new shingles plugging up the gutters. He cleaned them out for me at no charge which was nice. It continued to leak and when i called him again he said he would send one of his guys to come out and take a look and fix it would cost $200-300. Even after i went ahead and agreed to pay (even though I didn't think I should), no one ever showed up. I called to find out when he would be coming and this is when I started to get ignored. No answers, no return calls to my voice mail messages. I had my boyfriend call and he actually spoke to Junior (my guess is he took the call because he didn't recognize the phone number). Junior told him he would come out and take care of it, only to not show up again. so my review of B&G Roofing, if it's a job worth his while, he will do a great job on time and on budget. If it's follow-up work because of something he needs to fix and not worth his while, don't count on him. I just hired another roofer to evaluate my patio roof and I was shown pictures of loose sheet metal laying on it and shoddy workmanship from where the house roof (that B&G did) and the patio roof meet which is why it's leaking. So I now need to pay an additional $600 to fix what B&G should have taken care of at no charge. for this I do not recommend B&G Roofing unless you don't care about any kind of future repair or ""warranty"" type work to be done.

I called B&G Roofing on a monday and he came out to give me an estimate within 2 days JR went up on the roof which i knew needed to be completely torn off and I had 3 other roofers come out and Jr was right in the middle with is estimate. He gave me the estimate and a sample of the different roofing material, as well as a list of references in and around my area. I then drove and looked at his work that was done and deciced to go with his company. I called Jr and told him that we would like him to do the roof and he then e mailed me the contract and we set up a date to get started. The day came to start and his crew was there on time and the worked late to get all the roof torn off and sheeted with plywood. Then then showed up the day after the materials were delivered and his guys did a wonderful job and completed the job in a total of 3 days for a 3400 square foot roof. The roof looks awesome and i would recommend B&G roofing any day to any one, very professional and so was his crew. I would give him a 5 star rating

We did a lot of research and got several quotes from roofing companies. Junior Guy of B&G Roofing was the most professional from beginning to end. His quote included references and a breakdown of the process. It was a flat type roof and we went with torch down material.
The tearoff took one day and by the end of the fourth day the new roof was in place. His crew is super and did a great job of cleanup at the end of each day.
Our garage has always had a problem with drainage on the roof due to the slant into a brick wall. Junior suggested a ""cricket"" for the problem. I had never heard of a cricket. Also called a ""false valley"" by some roofers. This has worked out great ! See link.

We have just come through a four inch rain storm last week - no leaks. Many thanks to Junior and his super crew for a good experience. Fair priced - excellent work.

A really good roofing experience. Found 3 roofers through yelp. B &G gave the best quote and seem to really know about Arcadia permitting requirements the best. The job was done timely and the whole experience was painless. Junior was good with customer service and taking care of our needs. We are very happy with our new roof. Recommend B & G highly.

We just had out roof done by B & G Roofing. My husband did his homework in getting several roofing estimates. They ranged from $17,000 to approx. $9,000. B&G Roofing was who we went with. Junior provided us with a list of addresses where we can see his work and with phone numbers too of his happy customers. Now, who does that now days? Only someone, who takes a lot of pride in his work, I can honestly say we made the right decision going with Junior. His professionalism and work ethics went further than expected.
Once we set up the start date and time, everything went smooth. At first I was skeptical because of the price. Boy was I wrong! Junior and his crew got there bright and early and got right to work on the first day. I thought there is no way he will get the entire roof layer(s) remove in one day. Not only did they do it, but when they left for the day, my yard was left as if they had not even worked. His crew made sure the house property was very clean. The crew was also very polite and professional.
The work was done in the time agreed upon and I even got my patio roof re done with the money we saved and for a lot less than the $17,000.00 another roofer wanted just for doing the house roof. These days it is very hard to come across with people who have work ethic, integrity, and honesty and JR is a man of his word. When he said he would take care of it he did. ""Thank you Junior for doing an awesome job"", Jerry and Olga.

I don't usually give 5 star reviews but I believe Junior and his crew deserve it. I put off replacing my old wood shake roof as long as I could because of the cost of a new roof and got 5 quotes for a new roof before meeting with Junior. The roof on our home defined the look of our Monterey Colonial home and we weren't willing to settle for something that changed the look. He showed us some dimensional asphalt shingles that look right and made the project affordable so we went ahead. After some heavy rains last year and our roof going strong I can say start to finish I can recommend them. In fact they've already done my sisters house and she had a good experience as well.

FYI, I was concerned about Natasha's bad report, so I investigated and found out that her report was not based on any work that this roofer had done. Indeed, he did not get the job.
In my opinion, this was a squeeze play between realtors putting pressure on an honest tradesman to certify a bad roof for the sale.
I believe what happened was that He was asked to make a roof repair, and to certify the entire roof. He found a part of the roof which was not part of the original job, that could not be certified. Willing to do the job, but not willing to certify the entire roof until the bad area was also repaired, he found himself between realtors who wanted the certification without repairing the roof or telling the buyer about the roofing problems. He told the unsuspecting buyer what he found. I believe this roofer is honest and he wouldn't rubber stamp his approval on a roof that had problems.
I'm sorry to disagree with the other contributer, but from where I stand, I'd rather deal with an honest tradesman than one who will go along with the gag just to make a buck. BTW, based on what I found out about him, I hired him.

I got 3 estimates for a large roof. B & G roofing was about about $100 more expensive then the other 2 estimates. ($100 wasn't that much more on a $5,600 job.) I showed JR the other estimates. It turned out that the other two roofers had licenses that were were not active. JR gave me the website to check if a roofer really has an active license. I started checking around and I found out that most roofers that claim they have a license are actually lying. You need to check yourself.
From there I asked JR if we can avoid getting permits to save some money. JR actually prefers to use permits. After that I figure I would just go with the permits just for the peace of mind.
The roof came out perfect, with the exception of 7 roofing tiles that were impossible to buy. Since I was very happy with the job, I paid JR in full. JR agreed as soon as he found the 7 tiles, he was going to come back to fix the roof. He also stated that I didn't have to worry even if it rained, because the tiles were only cosmetics and the roof was not going to leak.
Locating the tiles actually took a lot longer then I thought. JR said they had to find used tiles from another house since these tiles are not made anymore. I was hoping that they would find the tiles soon. Well 3 months went by and I email JR and asked him of the situation. JR stated that he could put on some non-matching tiles immediately at my request, but he still preferred to go with the correct tiles. I told JR that we could just wait longer and hope that he can locate the tiles.
Now 6 months went by. I still had 7 missing tiles on my roof. I was thinking there is no way any roofer is going to come back. Especially since I paid him in full already. I got an email last night from JR and he stated he found the tiles and will be there the next day. Wow, he actually showed up with 4 guys. I still can't believe he came back. I told JR that he was the first contractor that I ever met that returned back to complete a job after they were paid in full. He even gave me 3 additional spare tiles just in case I needed it in the future.
Although there are many roofers out there, it hard to find one that has a valid license. It really hard to find one that prefers to work with permits. I thought it was impossible to find one that will return back after they are paid in full. B & G roofing actually did return back.
