I selected B and D Roofing based on the fact that they're a small company, and on the positive reviews, even though the reviews are 3-9 years old.
So I called about 1.5 weeks before Thanksgiving and spoke with Debra. I asked for a roof repair or replacement quote on my mother in law's house. She said they're very busy, that she doesn't not have a calendar and couldn't schedule me (???), and to call after Thanksgiving. Which I did. We agreed that she would give a quote both to my mother in law and myself.
She did keep the appointment made, and went to inspect the roof. My mother in law is a senior and her house is 1300 square feet exactly, single level, and they verbally quoted her $16,000 for a roof replacement. She wasn't happy and told Debra she'd price around, but I myself need to find out what it included and what it did not. So I then called Debra to get the written quote, she wasn't happy my mother in law would get other quotes but I told her ""of course she would need at least 3 quotes."" Isn't this standard practice with any contractor? So then Debra quoted me on the phone $13,000 to $15,000 for the roof replacement. She said she would email me a quote ""tomorrow."" Of course - that did not happen. Three days later I called again and left a voicemail. Still, no quote.

Well here we go, all those other reviews are old. This is my experience as of December 2021.

Friendly, dependable, honest people who do great work at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? I would not trust anyone else for roof repairs, maintenance or replacement.

I was in need of a new roof, owned the home for 30 years, re-roofed once, I was sure there were two more under there, so I needed the WHOLE ENCHILADA. I searched Yelp for the top 10 roofers, Debbie was one of only 2 to call me back. She and Brian came to my house (others offered to give me an estimate over the phone) looked at my roof....from the roof. I got a professionally laid out estimate of costs, including permits and a time frame. She was constantly in touch with me, aware of the weather and time constraints. Got my new beautiful roof before the BIG storm of 2017! It's BEAUTIFUL, it's PROFESSIONAL and it's leak proof!!!! Locally owned with a gazillion years of experience to share with anyone willing to listen! Thanks Debbie and Brian, I will recommend you to everyone.

This is the second time we have hired B and D roofing to repair our roof. We have a tract home built in the late 80's and the first repair was done about 3 years ago and they were great to work with then. Our latest leaks are in a different location and they came out quickly, gave us a reasonable bid and started work within a couple of days. There crew is professional, respectful, clean, and courteous. They went above and beyond what needed to be done, even driving all the way to Long beach to pick up materials to match my existing roof! They communicated with me, answered all of my annoying questions, and really care about the job they do.

I can't say anything about their work but customer service is awful. I called several times and never could get a live person. I left msgs and after 5 days, I still haven't received a call back.

I had contacted many roofers in the area and B and D were the most professional and courteous to me. I spoke with Debbie and she answered a lot of my questions and set me up with an appointment to have my roof inspected.

I had to get my roof inspected because of a home insurance inspection that had said I may have damage to my roof. B and D came out and determined there was nothing wrong with my roof and saved me thousands of dollars. They could have come out and told me I needed a new roof and I would have not gave it a second thought.

They are very trustworthy, honest and are extremely helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is my second review for B and D roofing. The first review I wrote was for my ""old"" roof. I finally, after 11 years purchased my new roof! Let me give you a run down of my experience. I had spoke with Debby several times about my roof since I needed one pretty bad. My roof didn't leak buy it was old and warped. It was only a matter of time when the leaking would start. (I literally prayed for it to hold up for the last 7 years) I was determined to get a black roof and Debby talked me out of it and explained why. I finally gave in and went with something a little more fancy. The day before the shingles were to go up I freaked out and changed my mind and Debby eased my mind. I have to say, I am sooooooo glad that I took her advice!!!!! I live in a small town. The neighborhood I live in was built in the 60's and everyone has remodeled their homes to the point it no longer looks like a track. I have to admit (and I am not bragging) but, my house looks the best on my block. I could not be happier!!!
I was so nervous about the mess and all the other headaches that come along with construction and I can honestly say, I haven't found one nail on the ground! I was so worried about my dogs stepping on something and it never happened. The guys were very nice and respectful. I felt so bad because it was so hot out and these guys had my roof done in 3 days! Debby also referred me to a painter that painted my house and she helped me with colors and design. This woman has some great taste!
I wish I could give more stars to B and D because I would give them across the board. They price beat every quote I got. Not by hundreds but by thousands and my roof is the prettiest roof I have ever seen. Its funny how I never paid attention to the beauty in a roof until now. Did I mention they replaced some old wood on my patio???? I didn't even ask them to do that! I am definitely going to use them for every project I decide to do!

I can't say enough good things about B and D. They were professional, actually showed up on time to give me a bid, gave me a reasonable bid, got the work done in a timely manner, contacted me to confirm meetings. Why can't all contractors be like these guys? DEFINITELY recommend them and already plan to have them do other work for me :) 2 thumbs up!

Debbie gave me a quote of $2500 to resurface my back deck and front balcony after a competitor of theirs recommended them to me.

Brian and crew showed up for the work Monday to Friday, April 7 to April 11. It was hot and hard work. They removed the outdoor carpeting and under flooring and laid down new wood flooring, then spent three days putting the new surface on the deck and balcony. This was a large surface area. They were diligent and kept at it.

The job turned on beautiful--even better than I'd hoped--and I can definitely say I now have the best deck and balcony in the neighborhood. Thanks to Brian and crew for the great job! I've been recommending you wherever possible.

We were very satisfied with these folks! After getting estimates from various other companies, we were uneasy about roofers who sent a sales person to give us an estimate -- a person who wouldn't be personally involved at all and in some cases didn't even work in the same city as those who would be doing the job. In the case of B and D, the actual owners are locals, and they were the ones who came out to see the job and do the estimate, and they were the ones who personally supervised the job on-site! This was lucky, because some complications arose during the job due to poor techniques used by the previous roofing company, and Deborah (the D of B and D) spent a lot of time with us working out how we could solve those problems and still stay as close as possible to the original estimate. The quality of the job was excellent, the price was way better than the ""big companies,"" they cleaned up very well, and we're just very glad we went with B and D. We heartily recommend them to anybody in the Inland area!
