This company was commissioned to come to a local 'for sale by owner' home to give a roof inspection. They did not acknowledge that a new roof had been newly installed by an engineer just three months prior with all the county permits and inspections intact. They told the 'Buyer' that the total roof needed to be replaced and that it still had layers of the old roof underneath. They failed to recognize that the entire previous roofing materials had been removed and the new roofing materials were installed according to code. They chose not to tell the owners of their findings. Because of this 'inspection,' the Buyer walked and did not follow through with the sales contract. And, Aztec Roofing has now lost out on any business they thought they would get because of their declarations. Two other roofers who came to inspect found a couple of locations where a nail was visible and there needed to be additional sticking material in one area. By disclosing this to the owner, the repair was able to be done in an efficient and expedient manner.
