We had a broken tlie on our roof so we called Aztec Roofing for the repair.
Because of the age of our roof, Gilbert suggested that we should do a roof tuneup. This consisted of resealing and repainting the metal on the roof.
We did not realize how badly the tuneup was needed until we saw how badly rusted the pipes had gotten. One of the pipes had to be replaced due to rust damage. Thanks to Gilbert's suggestion, I am sure we saved ourselves some repair headaches that would have occurred in the near future. The workers did an excellent job and the roof looks great.
They were very careful to clean up all debris. We are very pleased with the results. Gilbert, the owner, responded very quickly to our repair request. We highly recommend Aztec Roofing.

Last year I bought a home in Ojai with the original roof, which, at 32 years old, was fast heading towards the last round up. I could see a couple of leaks on my ceilings so I started getting estimates.

Everybody else I talked with tried to sell me on getting a new roof immediately. Gilbert Esquivel of Aztec was the only one who gave me choices-- he said that his best guess was that the roof would hold up through one or two more rainy seasons, although not much beyond that, and he gave me a low-cost option to do a quick fix to stop the one leak we knew about-- unlike the other guys, he was able to immediately locate the source and knew how to fi it.

I should say that his estimate was about 20% lower than the others.

Anyway, I decided to go ahead with the new roof, and Gilbert got me on the schedule and had his guys here working five days a week without missing a day until the job was done. He kept to the written estimate, apart from replacing some rotted wood and an extra feature (solar tubes) that I decided I wanted midway through the job.

His crew was polite and hardworking and just generally a pleasure.

I kind of regret that, since is the only roof I have in Ojai, I'll never need Aztec's services again. I wouldn't hesitate a moment to work with Gilbert on another project.
