Rick was a great communicator and provided us with a prompt and reasonable bid for our roof repair. We wanted to go with his company, but the job was for my elderly mother's house and she wanted to go with a roofer contact she got through a friend. We will be keeping our contact info for Award for future jobs.

Four words. Lazy and doesn't care ! Rick Ward from Award Roofing turned up late after being recommended to me by our neighbor. Our house has a roof size possibly twice the size of our neighbor. From the moment he turned up he was very negative, roof too big, roof too high, continued to try to see every downside of the job without even stepping one foot on a ladder to have a look...I was dumb founded by his terrible attitude...I even said to him : "" hey :) ? Are you trying to talk yourself out of the job, you have not even had a look ? He said ""well its just alot of work"" ??!! Really ! I replied : Well you are not doing it for free so..... He went on to just shrug and said ""you know we already have a lot of work"" - meaning I do not need this. Wow ! and sadly this is what we have to deal with today. Lazy contractors like Rick who only pick the easy jobs . I am actually grateful I told him not to waste my time any further and walked away. Can you imagine what this guy would be like if heaven forbid your roof job becomes difficult and needs additional work that he didn't plan on. He might bail half way through ! His last statement to me of "" I've been in the business 20 years blah blah blah ""... well something is not right as today You do not care to provide customer service , or help people if the job looks too hard for you or maybe there is something else to it ? Maybe he doesn't have the right insurance to protect his workers when going on an extra high roof ? Who knows, it was very strange...consumers be aware about this one, do your homework. Nothing worse than a person with a lazy work ethic and stinking attitude. If I could give zero stars or a negative rating I would. Extremely disappointing experience.

Award Roofing has worked on a leaky roof in the past and recently gave an estimate for replacing my tile roof with a a composite type roof. The crew arrived on time as promised in three days his crew completed the job, cleaned up each day and left the property neat and clean.

The foreman was on the job each day and both answered my questions and gave me accurate information about the process. The estimate was detailed and the job followed the estimate.

I recommend Award Roofing for any roofing job you may have.

i had a two year roofjob done by award roofer. it was such a lousy job. this roof leaked in three places and rick refuse to fix it. stay clear of award roofing.

Super nice and flexible guy!! We had a home (lost it in the October fires) that had solar panels and water heating equipment on it. Rick worked with the solar guy to coordinate the removal of the solar equipment and then the replacement of those panels. He was absolutely great and really made that situation less stressful. Rick also coordinated with the insurance company too! Roof looked great and we will be using his services again in August 2019 for new house that we just purchased which is in desperate need of a new roof.
