Rick is rude, and he will burn you...he didn't tell me that he was going to sublet the gutter work out. The gutter folks put a gawdy looking piece of metal on the roof to act as a water diverter, instead of putting gutter on the corner of the house. When I told Rick that I wasn't happy with it because it looked awful, and that if I knew that he was going to sublet the gutter work out, and that my neighbor got the same gutter job, from the same company for $2,000 instead of $3,500 I wouldn't have agreed to it. Rick then transferred the subject saying, ""Look at your front lawn, it looks like crap""! I told him that comment was uncalled for, and had nothing to do with his shoddy roof & gutter job. So basically he just put the additional $1,500 right in his pocket off the sublet gutter job. Also, I pointed out a crooked piece of metal flashing at the very focal point of the front of the house. And, I told him that I asked his roofer's to fix it, but they didn't. Rick blew me off on that concern as well, saying ""you can just paint over that"". He could have just took his ladder out and fixed it, instead he took his payment for the crappy job he did, and left in an angry huff. Very unprofessional, aggressive, & poor attitude. He acted like he wanted to fight. I would not recommend him to anybody. The guy is a rip off, and was very disrespectful. Karma will catch up with him. I signed contract with this clown on 12/12/23, he didn't start the job until 04/10/24.

Zero complaints, competitive pricing, presumably good quality work. No frills, no bs, very straightforward process. Price of the estimate was the cost of the project, with no surprises. Rick has been doing this a long time and knows his work well. Happy to support a local company like this that has been around for a good while

Asked Rick to give me an estimate for a new roof. He could have sold me a new roof, but told me I didn't need one. Instead, he fixed my cracked skylights and had it done right before a big storm hit. Even replaced a collar around one of my exhaust fans which was leaking.Estimate was right on target and well within my budget. He was referred to me by a contractor I trust.

I had a small leak. Rick came over the next morning on time. He fixed my flange in a few minutes. I was quoted $2200 by another roofer to do the entire section. Rick only asked me to make a donation for $50 to St. Jude's. What a wonderful company to have here in town. Please choose them for your business.

Rick was a great communicator and provided us with a prompt and reasonable bid for our roof repair. Four words. Lazy and doesn't care ! Rick Ward from Award Roofing turned up late after being recommended to me by our neighbor. Our house has a roof size possibly twice the size of our neighbor. From the moment he turned up he was very negative, roof too big, roof too high, continued to try to see every downside of the job without even stepping one foot on a ladder to have a look...I was dumb founded by his terrible attitude...I even said to him : "" hey :) ? Are you trying to talk yourself out of the job, you have not even had a look ? He said ""well its just alot of work"" ??!! Really ! I replied : Well you are not doing it for free so..... He went on to just shrug and said ""you know we already have a lot of work"" - meaning I do not need this. Wow ! and sadly this is what we have to deal with today. Lazy contractors like Rick who only pick the easy jobs . I am actually grateful I told him not to waste my time any further and walked away. Can you imagine what this guy would be like if heaven forbid your roof job becomes difficult and needs additional work that he didn't plan on. He might bail half way through ! His last statement to me of "" I've been in the business 20 years blah blah blah ""... well something is not right as today You do not care to provide customer service , or help people if the job looks too hard for you or maybe there is something else to it ? Maybe he doesn't have the right insurance to protect his workers when going on an extra high roof ? Who knows, it was very strange...consumers be aware about this one, do your homework. Nothing worse than a person with a lazy work ethic and stinking attitude. If I could give zero stars or a negative rating I would. Extremely disappointing experience.
