Our journey starts in approximately February of last year. We got a quote to get our roof professionally replaced and repaired. We decide our shingle and gutter colors and everything seemed great, planned and ready to go. This is during a supply shortage so we get delayed a month or so due to availability of shingles. Sure, no problem.

The installation begins: the contractors arrive and seemed professional enough to know what they're doing and they get started ripping things off and replacing.
First incident is my neighbor picks up a handful of nails that were left in the street after the first day of work. Unacceptable, but they responded respectively with my feedback.
2nd day into the work they let me know they underestimated the amount of shingles and need approximately $2,000 more including labor. We decline and but pay some pity because of it being a mistake. Here's the catch. We have to wait for more shingles, --for 3 months. All the while 4 different leaks developed with a half blue and half brown roof.

Keep in mind, all of the communications with AVCO have been extremely delayed and they showed up multiple times without notice.

They fix the leaks; repaint it and all. I accept it. And still being lenient.

They continue the roof replacement and the blue shingles look amazing.

Another 3 months go by with little communication on when the gutters will be installed and the pricing.

The gutters get installed initially, completely incorrectly.
At this point, the person who gave us our initial quote was 'fixing' his contractors work.
The gutters continued to hold water and drain incorrectly. We come to find there is a sagging section of the roof that they should've contacted us regarding and at least given us the choice to get it repair or not. But no one ever spoke about it potentially being a problem.

To this day we have yet to pay for the gutters as they still are left incorrectly done and still holding just a little bit of water, not to mention a corner being finished with the wrong type of leaf catcher because they ran out or got lazy.

This is not a reliable company. They contract out there work to anyone who will do it for a low wage.

Roof was completed November 21.....have had no high heat temps until now. AVCO replaced my pancake vents but NEVER attached them to a power source ....discovered this today when I went upstairs to attic to make vents were running as they were supposed to....the thermostats are hanging by silver cable capped wires coming out of the thermostats. .Would not recommend them at this point and this is after they have been paid.

plan on going to their place of business tomorrow!

AVCO Roofing did a great job on my mother's home. Was able to update some trouble areas and keep it within the claim amount for insurance. Seemed to care about giving us the best roof that would protect her the longest and not just another job. Would use again.

I caution anyone using this company to make sure you be aware of the numbers they quote you. There representative told me once we agreed on the numbers and I gave the appropriate checks I would not have to write any more checks when the project was finished. After a lot of back and forth between the insurance company, Avco's representative, their accounting people and me I still ended up writing an additional check for a substantial amount. Their excuse was we're sorry we missed a part of the roof. Definitely would not use them again as they have a problem with accurately handling the numbers.

AVCO roofing is the best! Was in the process of selling my home and needed to verify inspection report. AVCO came, inspected gave thorough report. Decision was made for new roof, AVCO employee Nate Boomer, assisted with helping go through insurance and schedule parts to be delivered and installed prior to sell of house. Thankful for the thorough, efficient work AVCO provided. Recommend them daily to those in need of roof repairs, inspections, etc.
