Austin Pro Siding was that for us: one of the rare, one-of-a-kind companies that went above and beyond for us while being courteous and loving what they do. A little background (and a bonus word to the wise): In the beginning of our siding journey, We had contacted another siding company (not Austin Pro Siding) to do the job. The resulting experience was horrible. The other company nearly scammed us, quoting the initial bid in the area of 29 thousand dollars. Because our house was a corner lot, they stated they'd knock down the price by 45% (to 16 thousand) if we agreed to do ""street marking"" (putting their sign in our yard). It sounded fishy and, once we figured out it was shoddy business practices, our faith in contractors was absolutely shot.

Until Austin Pro Siding came to the rescue.

I knew from the initial contact on the phone that I'd hire Austin Pro Siding for the job. There was an honesty and a down-to-earth quality in whomever answered the phone. He didn't treat me like just another job, but a person, and I could hear it in his voice. From there, it just got better and better.

From bid to the final walk through, the folks at Austin Pro Siding were honest, knowledgeable, and personable. Not once did I ever feel cheated or slighted as a customer. Because of their expertise in cutting/installing the siding, painting, and completing the final details, my house looks gorgeous. Gone is the old, green masonite; here is the beautiful, warm khaki brown of my new hardie plank siding. The house I love, the house I've spent nine years in, has a new lease on life--and I have Austin Pro Siding to thank for that.

Like night and day!

We had 30 year old defective siding that was rotting in places and that rot was getting to the frame. We called several local companies and agreed to use Austin Pro Siding & Windows. They were a little less expensive than others, but the from the initial responsiveness to the no pressure, informative sales approach that night, we were left with a very good feeling for such a massive job.

We went with the lap Hardie and they were able to start work 2-3 weeks before we thought they would be. The crew worked long days and nights, making quick work of the old siding and then wrapping the house. Each day I came home from work, another side or large section was done. Each step of the way there were inspections and communication. We have a large house with a ton of siding and they finished a day faster than we were thinking. The final painting and punch out details were done in a day and the end result is we have a home that looks new, that was beyond our expectation and raise the value of our home. They went the extra mile, beyond what we had discussed, to produce a phenomenal quality result.

A great group of people. Integrity, communication, transparency, quality work and just plain nice.

Long story short: I was a dummy. I bought a fixer upper for my aging parents that needed a lot of work. I ended up allocating money to a lot of different necessary projects--before working on windows. And, by the time I got to replacing the shoddy single paned, I decided to go with a silly, silly decision. Instead of hiring a professional window installer, I gave my handyman the thumbs up to install windows from hardware store. Oops. I am in the middle of l trying to fix that possible mess and called Paul at Austin Pro Siding and Windows to see if he could help after I read reviews here. Like the others said, he is a SUPER nice guy. But he he is more than that. He is also honest and very, very knowledgeable! He listened without judgement to my issue, then mentioned some possible issues that might have gone wrong and then decided the best, most economical course of action would be to refer me to his personal window installer to do the job himself. READ: Paul did not want a cut even tho I called him in first place because he was trying to do what was best in general. I have one other house that I know is having issues w seals and will need some work. And I now need a replacement for the one area my handiman didn't do: the sliding glass door. You bet I am working with Paul on the sliding glass door replacement and will schedule him for the other house when the time comes for that project!

Austin Pro Siding was absolutely wonderful from the very beginning. Professional, meticulous, excellent work product, kept the site clean, very responsive, and even quick. I highly recommend them.

Details:

We used Austin Pro Siding to reside our small house (about 850sf) 20-25 outside of Austin, between Batrop and Elgin - in other words, off the beaten path. Nonetheless, owner Paul and his crew treated us as if we were a huge job for them.

I called Austin Pro Siding and one other to get estimates. Paul himself came out and offered to come in the evening after work if that was better for us. We were impressed with both companies, but Paul seemed a bit more involved somehow, and his price was about 10% lower than the other guy, even with the other guy giving us a discount for a friends' referral.

Knowing we're trying to get work done quickly to get our house on the market, Paul moved us up on his calendar as far as he could. He estimated 7-10 working days to complete. His crews finished the siding, painting, and punch-out in 5 working days.

Paul himself came out at two points to inspect the job, including after punch out. He's a little OCD about his work, which is something I greatly appreciate in a craftsman! As an example, after he had inspected the final project with us to all of our satisfaction, he sat with my husband and me on our porch for a few minutes chatting (it was the end of the day). He spotted a small water pipe coming out of the wall for hose attachments, with a tiny bit of open space between the edges of the hole in the wall and the pipe. He got up, dug some caulk out of his materials, sealed it, and dabbed off the small smears with a paper towel.

And I have to mention how responsive Paul was. Not only did he keep in touch with progress reports on scheduling, but he responded to emails and phone messages almost immediately, even on weekends, even though none were urgent.

Paul clearly has a great work ethic and high standards, wants his clients to be happy not just with the finished product but throughout the process, and he hires workers who fit that mold.

Great service. They may be a bit pricey but they definitely care about their work. I just had some siding work done on my house and am pleased with the results. I had several quotes and they were not the cheapest but they really care about their customers and their work was excellent. Jerry was helpful and worked with me. Everything was done to my satisfaction. You won't be sorry if you hire this company.

Austin Pro Siding & Windows replaced my old single pane windows with double pane vinyl (Simonton Prism). Last winter was a good test for a new windows and I'm very satisfied with the result. Paul is a really great guy and I would definitely recommend his business. There were some issues during the installation but Paul was able to lead the resolution of the issues until the project was completed. I was impressed with the service I got from Paul as he demonstrated that he was not just a salesman but a true business owner concerned with the needs of his customers. My overall experience was good. Perhaps the only downside was the install crew who in my opinion were not ready for leading themselves and they required supervision from both Paul and the crew manager. That caused the project to take longer than expected. But again I was impressed with the way that Paul followed through with the resolution of every issue I reported.

Austin Pro Siding just replaced the siding on our entire house and repainted the whole exterior. It looks better than any house in the neighborhood and our entire experience has been great! The price was better than any other quote, and they were able to get the material in and finish the job ahead of schedule.
