My wife and I own multiple properties in Austin and we've hired hundreds of companies and contractors over the years for anything you can imagine. So, I'm just going to come out with it. Aurum Roofing is the best company we've ever contracted, for anything, PERIOD.

Firstly, the communication with Aurum Roofing was outstanding. From the initial inquiry to the completion of the project, the team was always available to answer any questions we had and kept us informed throughout the process. Our roof project was considerably complex as our home is a flat-roof with many levels to it, skylights etc. (see pic) in addition to it having been botched up by the previous roofing company who didn't have the expertise required.

As far as quality of workmanship, we could not be more impressed. The crew arrived promptly each day, and they were courteous, respectful, and professional throughout the entire project. They paid close attention to detail and took great care to ensure that every aspect of the job was done correctly. The project manager was a master roofer himself, a fantastic coordinator and had everything figured out down to a science.

We were also impressed with the overall value provided by Aurum Roofing. They gave us a VERY fair quote upfront, the materials they use are first class, and there were no hidden fees or unexpected expenses throughout the project. In fact, the project manager used his time & material to fix a completely unrelated issue with our house. When I asked to reimburse him he simply replied ""Don't worry about it, we're not just in the roofing business, we're in the making people happy business"". Mind blown.

I spent over a month doing very detailed research of the top roofers in Austin on Yelp, Nextdoor App, & Google reviews. Everywhere I looked, Jose and his company Aurum kept popping up as simply the best. The part that stood out to me the most in all the reviews were his integrity and honesty. 90% of roofers will push to get an estimator out, then quote you after they see how much you qualify for. Jose will give you an honest quote up front before all that, which is pretty unheard of. I had a couple roofers come out and they all did just that, push having an estimator come out along with stating I would need a full new roof. I am no roof expert, but mine is only 10 years old. I flew my drone to view the area where the damage is, and my gut was telling me I just needed a patch. After Jose's initial call with me, he was out at my property the next day doing an inspection (about 45 min total). He stated my roof looks great and that I indeed only need a patch. He gave me a shockingly low quote and had his crew come out 2 days later to patch it up. They added new wood, used the exact same shingles, and switched out my plastic vent covers with metal ones. His team was timely and finished in about 3 hours. He sent the invoice the next day and I was able to pay through PayPal. I am so so happy I went with Aurum and will 100% be using them again for any future roof work needed!

Per my home inspector, I needed some (minor) repairs done to my roof. Aurum Roofing (Jose) was recommended by a trusted acquaintance. I received a prompt call back from Jose. He also came to inspect my roof promptly. I was provided a very reasonable quote and the job was scheduled within a week. No job too small! Aurum is without a doubt the 'Gold Standard' in roofing. Please allow me to stress that Jose took the stress and guesswork out of the equation. So many roofing contractors tried to get a monopoly on the damaged roof claims back in March 2021 hail storm, but prove to be unreliable and untrustworthy.
I noticed Jose doing one of my neighbor's houses and I went over and got his business card. I did not realize at the time that I knew him and his wife because his in-laws are my next-door neighbors. As it turns out Jose inspected our home and informed us that we had not sustained any hail damage and told us that we could get 5 more years out of our current (but old) roof. Although we did not use his services at that time, when our roof suffered wind damage some 7 months later on Oct 20th, 2021, Jose was the first roofing contractor that came to mind. Jose made some suggestions for us to get in touch with our insurance and he was always available and willing to answer any questions we may have had before and during the claim process.
One of the major things I was initially concerned about was contractors over-bidding on the project, but Jose came out to our home and sat down with us and gave us a detailed description and breakdown of our estimate and how the roofing amount was already accounted for in the estimate. His estimate was already $1,500-$ 2,000 below the allotted repair estimate, and he gave us an itemized invoice of his repairs.
Once we hired and secured Aurum Roofing for the project, Jose sent us an e-mail detailing what to expect, this includes helpful material including a YouTube video link explaining the process. Jose and his crew arrived on the appointment date and finished before the same day. We literally could not be happier with the work and professionalism of Jose Valdez and Aurum Roofing. It is so refreshing to have hired someone who does exactly what they say. Jose worked with us on the insurance claim, and while we waited for an opening his schedule, he replaced some tiles that came off during wind storm at no cost (even when I offered to pay him).
Aurum Roofing's quote was aligned to our insurance claim, and there was no conflict with the insurance company.
The final icing on the cake was he came out early on the morning of the replacement with a large crew and did the entire replacement in 1 day (3,200 sq feet). There were workers all over the roof working together to get it done. I've seen many houses in my neighborhood whose roofs took 2-3 days. Me and my dog are very grateful for Aurum Roofing- especially because it rained all the next day!

My roof needed to be replaced after the April 2021 hailstorm. Jose gave me a comprehensive estimate and after my insurance company okayed the replacement Jose and his team did a beautiful job! The project was quick (finished in one day) and my roof look great. There have been some heavy rains since the replacement and everything is great. I can't recommend Aurum Roofing enough!

Aurum Roofing, and Jose Valdez were amazing. Part of my roof was damaged in our recent weather events. Jose came over to take a look, patched up holes so we wouldn't have rain pouring in the house, and gave me advice on what to do next regarding repairs and replacement. Despite spending a solid 90 minutes at my house, he didn't charge me for that initial visit. When I decided to replace the roof completely (with zero help from State Farm), he got me on his company's calendar. The day that work started at 7am, everything was smooth and efficient and all completed before end of day. The new roof looks amazing, the air flow in the house is 100% improved as a result, and Jose told me to follow up with him in a couple of years just to make sure everything is still good. I can't recommend Aurum Roofing highly enough - amazing customer service, amazing work, straightforward and no BS, no hidden fees or surprises.

I used Aurum Roofing to replace my entire roof and they were just amazing! I know nothing about roofs, insurance, shingles and Mr. Jose did all of that for us. He even helped us pick our shingles.
