My wife and I hired Jacob (General Contractor) and his wife (Architect) to renovate out basement room into a recreation room with a bathroom in our house in Eagle Rock. The project finished 2 months ago and we are so happy with how it turned out! Jacob was wonderful to work with from providing a clear and honest assessment of the project scope and cost during our first meeting all the way through completing the finishing details at the end. We will absolutely work with him again for our future projects and are lucky we found him for this one.

Atlas Builders and Development elevated my backyard renovation project from satisfactory to superb.

Upon nearing the completion of a pool installation with a different company, we began looking for contractors to turn our ground level patio into a deck. We were sure we wanted Trex decking, and Atlas Builders and Development appeared early in our search as a highly rated Trex vendor.

From the very first meeting, Jacob's commitment to excellence on our project was obvious. He arrived on time to our scheduled meeting, and he took time to visualize the space for the deck project.

As we described our vision for the deck, Jacob listened intently and answered our numerous questions patiently and knowledgeably. The expertise he revealed in that initial conversation gave us immediate confidence in the project - so much so that we wasted no time in expanding our backyard renovation with Atlas Builders and Development to include additional landscaping around the pool area.

After our initial planning meeting, Jacob provided an estimate without delay and was responsive to all our follow up questions.

The construction process was efficient and enjoyable. Jacob visited the job site each day to check on the quality and progress of the work, and he made sure that we were comfortable with the design as it came into focus. Jacob was impressively accommodating to our requests for small changes, and the finished product exceeded our expectations.

Atlas Builders and Development made our backyard renovation stress free by communicating clearly and thoroughly, and we couldn't be happier with the results of what felt like a true partnership in the design and building process.

I hired Jacob after interviewing five different reputable contractors to build a deck, two retaining walls, and stairs in my very steep yard in Highland Park. I spend a lot of time in my yard and had a very specific and detailed vision of how I wanted the project to come out, and it was clear from our meetings that Jacob would make the effort to get each detail according to my instructions.

Jacob's bid was competitive and he was happy to work with me on sizing the job appropriately for our budget. Work started almost immediately upon signing, and despite the many rains Jacob remained communicative and his workers steadily pushed through until the job was complete.

During the summer, we worked with Atlas to knock out an old room that had a load bearing wall requiring engineering services for permits and construction. Some of the work was demo, cement work for new posts to support a custom beam, add the matching flooring, paint match and general clean up. Both were top notch and knocked it out of the park that made it seem like the room was never there! The family owned company quickly drew up plans, provided a 3d model of the design and got through the permit process with no issues. Construction stuck to their word - no later than 3 weeks was the agreement and was done with everything in 2! A great overall company and plan to work with them in the future!

if i could i would go beyond 5 stars! we interviewed 20 contractors for an adu conversion, Jacob the owner of Atlas Builders & Development Inc, was the only contractor that was clear and concise & extremely knowledgeable - everything they put in scope of work & estimate was true to their word.

The workmanship, professionalism and knowledge base was beyond what we expected. Jacob would always respond to any text or calls quickly. the best customer service & he made suggestions and recommendations that helped us make correct decisions! The very best!!!!!! And we are more than pleased with the end result!!!!!

After multiple quotes we decided to hire Jacob from Atlas Builders and Development Inc. to replace our roof, paint the exterior of our home, install new windows and design of our new rain gutter system. From the beginning he checked all of our boxes for an ideal contractor. He was very professional and provided us with itemized quotes which he took the time to go over in detail. Our home is on a hillside so we knew this would be a challenging job given the height of the home and inhibited complexity of hillsides. While other contractors made it very difficult to deal with the project as a whole, Jacob took pride in taking on our challenging project and made us feel reassured from beginning to end. As always with any construction project there were some small hiccups along the way, but Jacob and his team were always available and on top of things, ensuring the project moved along smoothly. He was always very flexible and accommodating to ensured we were 100% satisfied with the results. Jacob was a great guy that quoted me a fair price despite the market being as crazy as it is. He was always responsive when I needed something and made the remodel process smooth.

Jacob remodeled my kitchen, flooring, and tore down a wall separating two living rooms. It took about a couple months for everything to be completed. The workers he had were professional and were great at doing what they do.
