Trace was quick to contact me, but that's all I can say. He didn't show or call. While I hope nothing serious happened, to make a promise to only break it, is not a company I want to work with.

Owner, Trace, was kind, professional and quick to respond to our needs. He came highly recommended to us when we were just considering re-roofing. Then on an evening of a storm when a huge oak limb came through our roof, he was the only one of a few companies we called that came out that evening to repair and cover damaged area with a tarp. We're glad he was because he did a fabulous job of replacing our roof, rebuilding a cricket and giving us a very cool looking chimney cap. We ended up having that HUGE oak tree that sat only feet from our house taken down--a very tricky job even for the experts. Afterward, Trace came out, inspected for damage and repaired the details that were amiss from limbs hitting the new roof and gutters. All of the employees Trace sent to roof, repair rotten wood, paint, etc., were professional, kind and cleaned up well after themselves. The kindness of Trace and his entire company was greatly appreciated at a time that could have been much more stressful, considering the damage to our house. Thank you, Atlanta Roofing!

I hired Trace Hickman to replace my roof in 2003. His company, Atlanta Roofing & Remodeling, did an excellent job at a fair price. But that's not why I'm writing today.

After the recent Atlanta Flood of 2009, I noticed, to my horror, that my roof had sprung a leak. After I panicked, I got a bucket and handled the problem temporarily. This was a Saturday. I searched for the company's information online. I remembered Trace's name, but not the company name, and I couldn't find my original paperwork.

My first surprise was finding that the company was still around, and seeing that Trace was still with them. I didn't expect much, but I thought I'd give it a shot: I called and left a message, and also sent an email.

On Sunday morning, Trace himself called me back. I gave him the history, and after some prodding, he actually remembered my job (that's impressive; I can't remember what I ate for dinner yesterday) and promised to send someone out Monday to take a look at the roof. This was during a very busy time for them, and the company is not in my neighborhood, or even near it.

In the meantime, I saw online that ARR has a 5-year warranty on their work. That's great...but my warranty had expired. So, I fully expected to be charged for all repairs.

Long story somewhat shorter, the workmen came and did some repairs after the rain cleared. I thought all was well, but when the next rain came, I realized water was still dripping into my bucket. I emailed, and a very helpful woman named Brenda responded that they'd come back out as soon as the rain stopped. They did, and ended up making more repairs. The workman was pretty sure he'd gotten it that time.

I wanted to wait for several more rains before confirming that it was truly fixed, and so I did. It was. Brenda emailed me before I could get back to her and confirm, and asked me when I would be available for (next surprise) the painters to come repair my ceiling.

They have just left, the ceiling looks great, the roof is fixed, and it did not cost me a dime, though my warranty was expired. How's that for good customer service? I am very pleased with Atlanta Roofing & Remodeling's work, and I highly recommend them for roofing and repairs.
