I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. I go by Chad McDonald. I grew up in Collin County, Texas. With over 20 years in construction, I’ve found great fulfillment in serving my clients. Through my experience with different roofing firms, I began to form my own vision for a roofing company. Too often, companies fall short on integrity, that’s the reason we choose to work with only ethical professionals. You can depend on our team to operate with integrity and we strive to exceed your expectations. Seeing our customers smile and ensuring they feel valued and respected is what drives us.

1 year in and my roof has many shingles falling off. They refuse to come out and repair them even though they promised a warranty. Look elsewhere for your roofing needs.
We recently sold our home and needed the roof replaced prior to closing. Chad and his team helped us navigate the insurance gauntlet and getting the roof replaced in a very short period of time. They did quality work and were very professional throughout the whole process. We highly recommend Aspect!
Cynthia W.I chose Aspect roofing as a referral from my realtor who recommended them as a very reputable company. This was probably hands down the easiest repair I have ever had done. Chad came to my home and explained everything. He communicated with me every step of the way for the multiple issue I had to have fixed due to the hail storm. I got a new roof, new gutters, new flashing, new solar screens, and had to have some interior repairs as well. They also communicated with my insurance agent on my behalf so I didn't have to spend any additional time trying to work things out. Every worker was respectful, did a great job, and they cleaned up completely after the job was done. This is a great Christian company with excellent values that treats their customers right. I will recommend them to anyone who needs roofing or any kind of remodel completed as they do it all. Thank you Aspect for the great job!
David C.I went with Aspect Roofing because I have known their owner, Chad McDonald, since high school and know that he's a credible and trustworthy person, extremely knowledgable in the roofing and construction industry, and has a focus on providing the best value and customer experience. His crew did a great job replacing the roof after a hail storm and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Also, they offered me a solution that allowed us to get a new roof with no money out of our pocket. Highly recommend using these guys to work with your insurance company to get a new roof for free.
Meliha D.We recently chose Aspect Roofing to handle our complete roof replacement following last years major hail season. They are a small, family owned company based out of McKinney, Texas and were referred to us by a friend. This roof replacement was their second major home overhaul we've used them on, they previously replaced our fence. Overall we are very happy with the service they provided and would recommend them to others.
One area where they really stood out to us was Customer Service. Our Project Manager was Chad Smith and he was fantastic to work with. This was our first time going through a roof claim/replacement and we were thankful to have worked with Chad. From start to finish Chad made sure to always be available. We'd wake up to his white truck outside the door every morning before the crew showed up. This was so critical because you'll have questions and want someone walking you through every step of the process. Beyond that he operates like that friendly neighbor that is always willing to help. He was very much a part of the team doing the work. Whether it was using the rolling magnet to pick up scrap metal or coming in to touch up paint on the sidings after the crew had already left.
The only nit pick would be their backend accounting. They may want to consider using a third party billing system at some point, just to streamline and organize things a bit more. However, it's really hard to complain because they were super flexible with our fence payments and we wouldn't trade their good natured accounting for anything else.
Love that they are a local company. very nice and prompt. Also clean after the job was finished.
They replace my roof damage from the hail storm. They were going to come back and replace my skylight cover and never did. I paid them, trusting they were good on their word. I was wrong. It was 6 months ago. I called and they never return my calls. I spent $500 out of my pocket to replace it with Steve Williams roofing. If you want a respectable man. Call Steve Williams Roofing.
After I got some hail damage last September they repaired my roof, did a great job too. I recommend to anyone needing a repair, they were professional and quick. 10/10
I am one of the owners of Aspect Roofing and am only posting this as a response to Alis Smbatyan. Over 1200 clients in 4 years and only one complaint. No matter how hard we try, we just can't please everyone. This is unfortunately one of those situations. Please see my response below. Thanks
First allow me to address her complaints in order.
Alis has gone behind our backs from day one trying to get Travelers to pay more than market value so she can keep the extra money for herself and do other repairs on her home. Insurance pays to bring the home back to pre-storm damage, not to ""fix up"" the house from years of neglect as was explained from the very beginning. Her response was ""I pay my premiums and I can do what I want with the money"" This is not correct, this is insurance fraud. She had our company agree to do all the work, send in an invoice once it was complete, and now she is going back for more money from Traveler's to ""fix up her house"". The work has been completed for over 90 days and we are just now hearing from her that she wants money refunded.
With regards to the wrong color, Alis chose Autumn Brown. We have a signed contract showing as such. After removing her entire roof and shingling the left quarter of her house she said she didn't like the color, it was too red. We told her during the color selection process that when the sun hits it, it really brings out the red. She stated, ""oh, that's ok"". So instead of holding her to her own signed contract we removed over $700 worth of shingles, called our supply house and had them deliver a totally different color, and installed those. Our company paid over $1400 to fix Alis's mistake. At which no time since then has she offered to pay for her mistake.
I have no idea what she is talking about with regards to the ""supplement"" The only time we reordered any shingles was to fix her color selection.
4 days is incorrect. We would have been done in one had Alis selected the correct color. Instead we secured her home and finished the very next day, once the shingles arrived.
Insurance paid to remove and replace the attic fans, which we did. You need to be a licensed electrician in the state of Texas to do this type of work. We are not able to perform this work. However, Alis told us not to worry because her AC man would take care of it when he installed the new unit. Alis hired him to do the work and we paid him. Alsi told us everything was ok, go ahead and pay him. After we paid him, she noticed that he didn't hook up the fans as requested. Again this is a contractor Alsi chose, not us.
We replaced one 3"" x 3"" piece of pool tile as she requested. Her pool tile and pool is falling apart. The tiles she is talking about are tiles that insurance didn't pay for, but she wants done ""since we are doing the other one"" That's like walking in to a body shop to have your hood painted and saying well since your doing the hood, go ahead and do the whole car.
The quote for the AC, was dollar for dollar the quote HER AC guy gave me. No idea what she is talking about here.
She also refused any payment and without my knowledge had one of our crew go in and repair damaged baseboards in her home and in to that addition had that same person paint her exterior fascia boards. She told them we said it was ok, an obvious lie to take advantage of one of our workers and once again get work done on her poorly maintained home.
With regards to stealing the money, it is laughable. First, we can't request anything from any insurance company to be made out to us, we aren't on their policy. Alis wrote us a personal check once all the work was completed and she was 100% satisfied. We took NO MONEY up front, ALL of the money was paid after the work was done. Alis has chosen to try and get more money from Travelers by hiring an independent adjuster, thus taking money that would be rightfully ours as stated in our contract. Not sure what she means by washing and staining the roof, that's not something we've ever done. Nor would we ever agree to take a personal check and give you money back. We performed all work we were contracted to perform including baseboards and fascia boards that an employee was tricked in to doing by Alis .
At this time Alis still hasn't paid us the $2400 she still owes us for work performed and is asking us to give more money back. We have written this off as bad debt and part of doing business. If you noticed the work contracted was for $11,500 and she has issues with the $494 that she's trying to pocket for work performed. This from someone who has spent the last 90 days trying to get money from Traveler's and Aspect for herself. All of the work was completed on time, again the only hiccup we had was when she chose the wrong color and we had to stop down for a day to get the ""new"" color.
We have over 1200 happy clients and 1 that will do anything she can to ruin our companies name just to put a few dollars in her pocket that isn't rightfully hers.
In most of his about the company blurbs, the owner, Chad McDonald, boasts about how the company is 1. referral based, 2. if their clients won't recommend them to someone close then they feel they haven't done their work, 3. they make sure they will be referred without hesitation, and 4. the company ""won't compromise our integrity for a few dollars more"". In my experience, they knocked on my door and advertised themselves, I will not recommend the 4 day roof change with color mistakes that they did - not to my loved ones and not even to people i don't know, and most importantly, they have TAKEN money for work which they refuse to complete! I strongly warn against hiring them to do ANY type of work on your house, they were one of the worst experiences I've had as a home owner!
